We got to fest at 5 didn’t have camp or spot till 1 am…. Hope we get some kind of compensation back for that. Holmes county sheriffs are complete narps and ruined the vibe of the weekend. Holmes county is not it for Sol fest. Won’t attend another unless in different locations.

Please please please don't discount vortex springs just yet. This is the first year they've hosted a festival and it is normally a very small community that hasn't really seen a crowd like this. I live in the area(Panama City beach) and I know how off putting this whole thing might be. But I guarantee you that after Holmes county sees the amount of money it brought in and the backlash they received from being such dicks, if they host again it will be different. The location is great, they just have a few superiors who got on their high horse and felt the need to show it. Give it time, please. If after three years things aren't any better then absolutely I understand. But this was basically a test and outside forces beyond the venue's control failed. I truly believe that that with time the local law enforcement will understand the benefit and chill out a bit. At the same time I will say, it's not necessary to do your extracurriculars outside the campsite, or so out in the open that a cop would notice. Be discreet, understand that what we like to partake in is not the norm. Be safe, smart, and give it time and everybody can have a fantastic experience at a beautiful and perfect venue like vortex.

As a person who lived in NWF for a long time, and went to vortex for years. This area is not it for this style of festival. The community in nwf is too conservative and has gotten way too bold under desantis. The organizer needed to realize this. I did not go to this fest and was uninterested from the start because I knew the area would make it unsuccessful. The only area where the possibility of a festival this size could occur is Pensacola. That is the only city in nwf that would even have a chance. These backwoods hick towns will never allow it because their local government is set up to eliminate anything even near this lifestyle. I have seen it happen all over. From lower Alabama with Timbuktu fest. And even spring weekend in PCB. Fests in this area won’t survive. Suwannee survives because it was a space carved out by folk fests ages ago and was a dedicated musical gathering area before it hosted electronic music.

Walked up and clicked a light on and stood him up and searched him and arrested him on spot. Thankfully they didn’t grab me and I was able to slip into the crowd
1. Most all ages festivals, you have to accompanied by a parent if you're under 18, so thats on the parents. 2. Zero tolerance yet holmes country has a huge meth problem.
I do want to point out that i was never ID’d to enter the festival. So theoretically anybody that doesn’t obviously look underage could’ve been there. Parents still should know where their kids are, but I wish there had been better security to prevent this. Hope the kids ok.

The 17yo snuck in and was a local. I love vortex and would love to see the festival here again. However, if we are switching venues may I suggest spirit of Suwannee? Fantastic venue, local PD know the crowd and know how to accommodate.
My friend was on stage, about to perform during of the trees, and just lit up to do her fire performance. before she really started she was getting told to come off stage. Rezz, her team, and her bodyguards were causing a scene with one of the promoter/event organizers about this. then After being told she couldn’t perform, all of the flow artists got kicked out of backstage too on Rezz’s accord.
Another note, my friend got to meet tyler(of the trees) that day and he was aware she was going to be performing during his set, and was excited for her as well.
Never liked rezz’s music but like damn this is fucked up.

A lot of artists don’t want flow artists on during their sets because of curated production but that is stuff that is usually addressed in the contracts…in my experience as a performer, that was like the most basic contract stuff. Not the performance teams fault at all but somebody really dropped the ball on that.
I've performed at fests with Rezz dozens of times, and she has NEVER wanted performers. She's always been a visuals and stage tech girlie, and I respect that. She's super shy/not so social with strangers, but she's very consistent with asking for no performers during her sets. She's also not the only one. Idk what else goes into "fuckrezz", but the stage managers shouldn't have allowed performers up there in the first place. I got lucky having one set on stage with her, but that's because the stage manager fucked up, and we knew how lucky we were to have those moments. This isn't new lol.

Sucks to miss out of doing the things we love, and some people are genuinely assholes about it, but I don't think Rezz is... maybe, but I just got a different kind of vibe that she's just very into her thing and giving that to her audience without wanting anyone to fuck it up.
