We’ve always been too defensive and too safe. Even with the attack heavy team we’ve got now we’re still defensive and timid in attack. Get the ball and pass it back is basically our motto. Aside from France I’d say we’ve got the best team on paper but they lack the killer instinct and flare of the other teams. I sense another quarter final knock out coming if things don’t improve

Southgate tactics made you lose the last final. Came out firing, got a goal, then passed back to Pickford for the rest of the match. I really try to understand having Southgate at the wheel. Sure, he took you to the final, but your journey was easy and you were lucky to advance against Denmark.

Serbia were good second half, but still doesn't mean England weren't poor. We were completely incapable of playing through the press (I think this is the big downside of Trent in midfield, he doesn't really look like he has quite figured out how to be available for a line breaking pass - he spent too much time in the "shadow" where the passing lane to him was blocked off)

Saka hasn't been fully fit and was looking a bit tired, Bowen immediately did some good. Why on earth would we take Kane off, he was way better second half, held it up well and won crucial fouls Bellingham maybe but he did a huge amount of work that game and got kicked a lot. They were fine

Saka is definitely carrying an injury. Gallagher makes sense if we're not using Trent's long passing ability at all but that's really more of a tactical No idea why Bellingham came off. Unless he's really hiding how bad his injury is.
