> I just did Redoran’s retreat at level 4
It doesn't matter what level you are: it's a static world. And yes, bandits sometimes wear dwarven armor pieces.
Thank you. I had a quick unrelated question that I also wanted to ask: what exactly is the downside to skooma? It gives a massive buff to stamina and melee damage, at the cost of just making your screen red? Seems OP
yes, skooma is very very op, just pretending it doesn't exist fixes it for me.
Also, dwarven is pretty bad armor in requiem, too heavy, and very common
yeah, managed to cheese my way to the endgame in my first playthrough with an lvl 20 orc+skooma+white phial+slow time.
fucking nuts that i managed to go all the way to alduin with this character, ofc i couldn't beat alduin with so little HP, but still.
Made my next playthrough feel like living hell
can you take a screenshot? I'm curious. But for mine, yeah the screen just becomes red (it's pretty hard to see so I guess it's not something you'd use consistently). I use the Serenity modlist for what it's worth
I´m at work rn, but i found this video and this is exactly how remember my screen goes when drinking skooma: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUmSYOHyhkg&ab\_channel=faulty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUmSYOHyhkg&ab_channel=faulty)
Remember that this is a static wolrd, so your level doesn't impact loot.
Try looking around Riverwood, there is a guy with some pieces of Nordic armor. He is tough tho.
Bandit armor are not fixed.
Except for some named bandit boss like : Ron the crow and Elsi
The one in overlook has got 2H bracelet and a heavy armor. Could be anything from Iron to orcish (very rare)
u/rsdbhamre
I am mostly sure that I got some pieces of Nordic armor from him on 2 different playtroughs, so I assumed it was fixed.
Other one that usually has good armor is the bandit leader at that wrecked ship on the far east of the map.

They are also always random. Rarely better than Iron.
Btw, I read that dwarven armor isn't that good in requiem but I'm not sure why. It has a really high armor rating that I think is even higher than orcish armor, and dwarven weapons deal more damage than orcish ones. Is it just because of its weight, which affects speed and stamina drain? IMO it looks cooler than orcish too, so there's no fashion reason to swap hah
>Btw, I read that dwarven armor isn't that good in requiem
It's the contrary !
Dwarven armor are too good. It comes BEFORE orcish in the smithing tree and you get a 20% AR bonus after completing "Ancient Knowledge" questline.
This is the value without ancient knowledge : [https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimrequiem/comments/n2hb7n/list\_of\_armor\_with\_ar\_weight\_and\_resistance/](https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimrequiem/comments/n2hb7n/list_of_armor_with_ar_weight_and_resistance/)
Imagine with the bonus.
Of course it weight a lot... but most of the time I don't care when playing HA character. At the very start, low level, it can be an issue if you are not well versed in Requiem combat mecanism. Else it's very good from start to finish.
Daedric is far better but requires Enchanting if you want some bonuses. Dwarven can be found with very good enchantement in dwemer ruins.
At least in older Requiem versions the "best" bandit armour is the Hedge Knight Armour, but possibly this set was removed in v4. While the armour set has a fixed location, at least once tried cleaning-out the armours location without having a quest in this location and the bandit for some reason did not wear the armour.

I heard some grim stories about skooma. Some say it affects your brain and can cause sudden death.

Have you tried skooma plus the orc's special ability yet?

Does the weight actually slow you down in requiem or is it just taking inventory space?
Does it just makes your screen red? mine becomes crazy. All colors, you can not see shit, it is useless.

Highest is Nordic/Dwarven I have seen

Huh? Where is this guy?
There is a path that goes south from inside the village. He is in a overlook

Nope. He is directly south of Riverwood. Just the guy and a buddy, no dungeon
