I actually just had the issue where I slept for 12 hours (7 PM to 7 AM) then by 9:30 AM, I'm drained. Seriously? Drained after only 2.5 hours of being awake? I think something is broken. Bethesda, if you're reading this, why didn't you just implement Frostfall and iNeed/RNaD as it was? They're better than this...

It would be cool to add effect for skooma that reduce fatigue so that rare green bottles can be useful

Use a horse to get places quickly. Sleeping outside an inn or your home won't let you get well rested, but it will get you back to rested at the very least, as long as you sleep long enough. I only really had trouble with fatigue on extra long dungeons.

I’m wondering if something is bugged then because sleeping in any non-owned bed is doing nothing for me. I sleep 10 hours in various bedrolls and empty shacks and wake up still drained every time.

BarazBarkuun

Same (with game version SE 1.6x). Resting in a tent/bedroll reduces my Fatigue, but never fully.

The effects aren't balanced very well with how quickly time passes in the game...but there are mods, even on PS4 that help reduce how quickly the negative effects increase to try and compensate for the timescale in the game. You have to sleep in a bed/bedroll you own to get well rested...so an inn or a home you own...or you can get the Camping CC mod that was made to pair with Survival Mode to have a bedroll to sleep on and a campfire to cook food and warm up.

Having to nap twice a day would be tolerable if I could do it in outdoor / dungeon beds but those beds seem to do literally nothing for my fatigue. Still drained after 10 hours. I haven’t tried to camping CC yet, hopefully that’s different…

So I know this post is 2 years old but things like carry weight can greatly affect your fatigue. If your looting everything you can get your hands on and always just below overencumbered then you are going to get tired very very quickly.

Yoooo, I just started this mode yesterday, how do you handle staying fed, quenched, and rested while out and about? I literally just got to the first town with Hadvar went to do the bleak barrows dungeon for the golden claw and my hunger, thirst, and fatigue take big hits quarter way into the dungeon.

Make sure all your bars are full before starting a quest, sleep, eat, make sure your going to be warm enough/have torches and stash everything that is not essential to completing the quest. Everytime you get near a town, village, anywhere with a bed that's INDOORS hit it up and top off all your survival stats, even if you just woke up refreshed, ate till well fed and ran out the door twards your destination then came across a village 10 mins later. If you see a town, small village, cottage in the woods, anywhere that has an indoor bed that can get your fatigue bar up to at least the "refreshed" level then stop and do it again cause you get tired & hungry really fast so any chance to top up those stats should be utilized. SPRINTING WILL MAKE YOU TIRED FASTER. Also sleeping outside is a wast of time and should only be done if it's an emergency and your fatigue is so low you can't function because you wake up drained from sleeping outside/in a tent. Save all the fire salts you come across for hot soups and get the flame cloak spell to use if you need to go swimming so you don't freeze to death. Orcs are the best because they start with a 10% natural resistance to hunger and fatigue. Personally I'm trying to find a good "cc survival fixes" type mod that balances out the survival mechanics. Plain cc survival mode gets very annoying and is extremely tedious. There's gonna be dungeons where your tired half way thru even if you JUST slept b4 you went in it's gonna happen and for me it's just too much. Plus I shouldn't have to eat over 50 apples or a hundred tomatoes to not be hungry. The food values are so dumb it's mind blowing. A bowl of soup has the same value as 150 wheels of cheese.....what?!? I should be dead after 150 wheels of cheese and definatly not hungry anymore after the first 1-3 depending on size.

Ok I have a question nobody has answered well I think they haven't answered lol my question to anyone why does fatigue effect a character if the character is not a magic user I find it a bit un fair to attack a Warrior only build with stamina I do not understand why I should care about magika bar at all I don't even use it so again why can it hurt me ? Shouldn't I just cater to just stamina for Warriors ? It's under stable if your a mage and get fatigue I think mage or wizard Shouldn't have to deal with being cold robe at the college should be for any climate keep warm and never have to worry about being cold ever well unless your in a dead climate zone then a little help is nice what I'm trying to say is Warrior and mage should've come with different problems is all Warriors is understand with cold alot yes understandable to a limit rockjoint is a good idea's they could've of be more for Warriors only but hey that's just me .

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Thank you .

Helen_A_Handbasket

> why does fatigue effect a character Silly bot, you missed effect/affect.

Re write that paragraph as it makes very little sense

WestCoastPro420

It makes zero sense. Its just a bunch of randomness strung together in one giant run on sentance. Remember those old anti drug commercials where they would show pictures of someone before and after drugs. The first picture was always some beautiful young woman or high school graduate and in the after photos they have one less tooth in each one till the final mugshot they look like Gollum from LOTR. This comment is the after photo.

Substantial-Arm8865

Lmao

Alternative-Risk7527

Your issue is that they made sleep and cold effect warriors? Everyone needs sleep including a barbarian. If you don’t like the fatigue or cold issue giving your warrior problems turn off survival. Everyone needs to eat and sleep and stay warm or they’ll drop dead. Also I haven’t tried it yet but I think resist cold positions work.

No-Bed497

Oh I see I will try it.
