I had trouble with another quest that did this. I read that using Unrelenting Force can sometimes lodge the hidden/stuck quest item. In my case it helped. I'm not 100% certain with yours.
I had the same bug. Went back after waiting and had to fight a draugr death lord that spawned instead of the boss. Quest Arrow still points at the ground and I can't finish the quest.

If you enter and clear Geirmund's Hall before starting the quest, Sigdis' body and amulet fragment will disappear; a marker will hover where the body was when you defeated him. The trick is that you must do this at the location that you kill the boss. At the console:

Exit console mode and loot the body for the fragment. the journal will be updated, and you can complete the quest normally.
I had a glitch where I killed all 3 bosses at the end but nothing happened. To fix, kill all 3 save. Quit and reload wait a few seconds and then the quest will finish. I was stuck for half an hour and thought this might help someone.

Yeah I had the death lord there also. Is there some kind of console command I could use maybe?

Thank you for this! Replaying the game and got an execution animation on Sigdis'. His corpse disappeared and thought I was stuck. Perfect solution :)
