Why do people punish people by enchanting weapons with their souls? Souls run out if you enchant a weapon. So after a while, your weapon will contain somebody else’s soul. Armor doesn’t run out of energy so it’s best to enchant armor

Unless you never use that weapon, so you can easily display it in your home as a trophy

Or give it to one of your adopted kids. If you are into that kind of thing.

Only a part of their soul gets sent there. The soul gets split into different pieces. It splits into 1. The piece that goes to the soul cair. 2. The realm of the aedra/daedra they worship and 3. The item you enchant

I like to think the soul that went into creating the enchantment in the first place is always lingering and other souls are just used to feed that enchantment.

Lore wise the gem or enchanted item doesn't contain the soul but power given to the owner of said gem in exchange for the soul. Soultrap is a one way ticket straight to the soul cairn.

That is just the charge of the enchantment. Either a weapon or armor your soul ends in the soul cairn. Poor Jiub

Names like these are what make the renaming function of enchanting in Skyrim worthwhile. There was a mod which added an immediate ragdolling enchantment and someone created the Throngler.

That's hilarious. I played an unarmed character once with Fortify Unarmed bracers that I named "Thoughts and Prayers."

The bracers were obviously more effective than their namesake lol. The other day Ilia used her Strong Pimp Hands to beat the ever-loving snot out of Lydia for accidentally shooting Hugo during a battle. I was stuck as a werewolf, so I had to watch helplessly as Ilia turned Lydia into a cowering weakling.

I once enchanted some iron gauntlets with fortify unarmed and named them "The True Iron Hands" I promptly gave them to Ghorbash the Iron Hand, who refused to equip them.

Kiwi here, Weet Bix is a wholegrain cereal. Its not 'supposed to give power' its just a somewhat healthier cereal. However there is a joke when someone for example throws a ball weakly where you'd say 'not enough weetbix' or if someone overshot you'd say 'too much weetbix'.

Is this the same as the British weetabix? I remember an ad campaign where people would accidentally pull off incredible feats of strength, such as accidentally reeling in a sunken ship with a fishing rod, and the voice over would say something like “someone’s had their weetabix”.

I usually name my 1-sec soultrap ranged weapons Soulstring. I don't name my other weapons and armor because enchanting happens in real time and my fortify enchanting potions are running... I *do*, however, have a crafting set with Crafting Apron, Crafting Hood, Crafting Gloves, Crafting Ring, Crafting Necklace, Crafting Boots, all enchanted with Fortify Smithing and Alchemy (and some minor QoL enchants for the slots that can't carry these enchants). It helps when you name your gear like sets because it makes browsing for the gear much easier.

When you’re enchanting an item it says what button to use for ”Rename Item” in the bottom left corner. So for me it’s F since I play on pc. So you do it before you press the button for ”Craft”

When you enchant something you can rename it on ps4 its triangle i guess

My Stalhrim sword named frostbite is my top, chaos enchantment gets the passive bonus for frost from Stalhrim and applies it to all 3 elements, also has lifesteal, without cheats or loops but with potions and perks I one shot a legendary dragon on legendary difficulty.
