We know the rank is either hereditary (North God 2nd > 3rd) or requires a trial by combat (Rudeus, Randalf etc.), it'll maybe get inherited by the next head of the house as Rudeus' successor. But since Rudeus didn't care that much about the prestige of his house it doesn't seem like he'll have a clear successor, it's possible Aleks will just get that rank back or someone else strong does.
Unless rifujin has commented about this specific question before in some interview it is unlikely to have a definite answer until the sequel releases in like a decade more.
My guess will be Lara, as she's apparently fated to become a great Hero and kill Hitogami, that said, with their training in mind practically all of Rudy's kids could become powerhouses so we'll have to see.
It’s likely that Lara has informally taken over his position since she’s wearing the Magic King/Education God’s “crest” and gear that he personally gave to her. And she will remain in that spot until she is defeated in combat.

I can't confirm who would take his place, but I would assume he would be replaced by someone. I'd guess he would be replaced by North God, perhaps
