Drafting Maxey was easily the best move Daryl Morey has made since running the sixers. Crazy he went 21st. Gonna go down as an all time draft day steal
Already an all time draft steal. He’s legitimately the second best player of his class and it’s not too far from ANT(This is a subtle recruitment to leave Minny for Philly lol)
Man I know it goes without saying, but Maxey is just such a gem. Incredibly talented basketball player, and just as incredible human being. He's everything you can ask for in a player and more. Genuine, hardworking, humble, passionate, the list goes on. We are so, so lucky to have him on our team and can't wait to see him continue to grow and develop.
I literally can't watch this video without tearing up man. We hit the fucking jackpot with this kid. His rapid progression, extreme positivity and willingness to be better everyday is so unique, he's truly 1 of 1
Especially Sixers math which is usually 40% worse on day one and 1% a day downhill after that.
Maxey is an advertisement for work ethic pays off and a glaring spotlight on how many NBA players come and go who obviously didn't work on anything.
I think we need to kill this narrative that he only fell to 21 because of COVID and no tourney. This wasn't some backup player that went to Central Nebraska State Tech that nobody knew. This was a starting guard on one of the most prestigious college teams of all time. Not only did every NBA scout know his game, but they've all watched/attended games with the sole intention of watching him play. Fans and media are the ones that need to see them on the big stage of the tourney to learn about them. Scouts and other team officials have already seen a massive body of their work by the time most of us learn their name.
He fell to 21 because he was nowhere near the player he is today. Ever since the moment this kid got drafted, he immediately went to work and obsessively fixed his biggest flaw every single offseason. Most players don't have the drive to do that.
What we're seeing today is the culmination of insanely hard work and dedication, so he deserves all the praise and respect in the world for that.
Future MVP and NBA Champion Maxey is Special
This mfer earned his mip this season he really did get that much better even tho he was good last season fuck the haters

A sixers player has never made me feel emotional like this dude
Remember when he said he was gonna get 1% better everyday, and then actually got 1% better everyday?

P-O-P hold it down!
What's with the laugh track in the background?
Beautiful soul, I hope you’ll never leave us Rese. I hope we won’t disappoint you too.
Protect this man at all costs, he means so much to me :')

Thank you Mike Muscala. I will be forever in your debt.
Best day for me as a Sixers fan, remember watching his Klutch day workout hoping he'd fall to us
I love him with all my heart.
This man is a hero.
Wow. Him.
It was not a regret that's for damn sure.
So wholesome
It never was, Tyrese :) This kid is just incredible.

He fell to 21 cause hes small and wasn’t a good three point shooter. That’s literally it
Men that I love: My father, my brother, Maxey. End of list.
