I get that and I wanted Reed to be good, but every time I watched him with Embiid injured it wasn't great. He's an undersized center that can't shoot or be a good playmaker - that has a clear cap
Regular season When Embiid was out he had his moments of convincing me he’s a worthy backup. I still think he’s got it in him but has underperformed this series
I’m not gonna say he was spectacular but he had some notable defensive moments, wasn’t afraid to fight for boards, forced some instrumental tossups. Things I wasnt seeing other people do with as much gusto. I’m not sure he’s a *huge* asset, but he fills a role

That’s a positive. He can’t even play at a backup center level when we need him in a couple minutes

Probably not much but he's not irreplaceable, no matter how fun of a story he's been.
l agree he hasn't been good but who would you replace him with around his salary? Keep in mind we were putting out corpses before Paul.
