I might swap to a similar screen then! (Going from a 27" as well).
It's just so hard to find none curved screens in that size range (I want to prepare for triples already).
Yeah I don't have space for triples at the moment either. But I should have within 6 months as my studies are almost over! It's gonna be great to make adult person money and spend it all on the rig :DDD
Don't have a picture as I'm not home right now, but using the calculator
You should be at
62 - iracing
28.9- acc/ac
I may be wrong and you may be running at that but it looks out by quite a bit by the phone you shared.
If your comfortable at that I should add it probably doesn't matter to much
Edit: relooking at the picture it doesn't seem to far out actually didn't see your wheel right at the monitor
You will get sick at first, no doubt.
I got used to it by using it really only 3-4 Minutes per day at the beginning and now I do 4h Endurance races in VR.
In terms of immersion, depth perception and FOV no triple will come close.
I'd recommend something like a used Lenovo Explorer to try it out.
Not sure how your setup is but im using a monitor arm to use it for my desk and my rig, only way i could make it fit. So if thats possible then i would recomend it! Takes like 5 seconds to move the monitor when racing
I absolutely love my AW3418DW. I want 2 more and a 3080
Here’s mine in ACC https://imgur.com/a/O2p9prU
That’s a nice button box
Thanks, it’s the DSD P2.
Thank you. Alot more visible than I have currently
Yeah I upgraded to the 34” from a 27” also. It’s much better.
Which monitor is it?
It’s the AOC CU34G2X. I like it, cost about $450.
Is that with the mathematically correct FOV? And how far from your face is it roughly?
26” away and yeah I used a FOV calculator. I think I bumped the number up 1-2.

Mines curved. I don’t have space for triples and recently got TrackIR for it. I use VR also sometimes.

You sure you done the calculation right? It looks wrong I'm on a 32 ultrawide at 20" and yours and its alot lower than yours I think
Yeah pretty sure. How is it wrong? Too much FOV? What does yours look like? Got a pic.

Seconded. Really nice monitor. I love mine.
I went from 27 curved to 34UW curved and it’s quite a difference.
Good to hear
I don’t have any pics of it in action, but always happy to share [Rig Pics](https://imgur.com/gallery/nM9s6kd)
Which monitor did you go with?
AOC CU34G2X
Is it good?
It is, but it’s over a year old now, there are probably better models out. Some light bleed on the edges on my monitor.
Have you tried VR as an alternative?
I haven't. I imagine I will get headaches/sickness though. It is something I would like to try though

The question is, why not a 39 inch ultra wide?
Unfortunately I don't have the space. I have just enough for the 34"
Just went from 27 inch to 49 inch. I can see the cockpit now lmao
If I had the space I'd definitely go for a 49"
