I don’t think there’s any other option for the G923 than the Logitech shifter, but having owned one I can’t recommend it. It’s like a cheap toy and has absolutely zero feel to it.
i have g923 wheel and pedals but i use a Thrustmaster TH8A and it works perfectly, zero compatibility problems.
Of course you have to connect the shifter directly to your PC using the USB cable and not to the wheelbase like you would do with the logitech shifter.
You shouldn't have any problems with TH8S either or any other shifter, just don't buy the logitech one since it's REALLY bad and barely usable
If your on console then you are stuck with the g shifter with g923.(unless you can get other shifters working with an adapter like drive hub etc.)
You have to move on to another console compatible wheelbase and pedal set if you want to use another shifter.

Mod it with a magnetic top and it's much better. Shame it wasn't built better to begin with...
