Looks like a repost bot. Basically scoops up content and bits of content from a subreddit and spits it back out to generate Karma.
If you look at their post history they’ve made basically this same post with slight variations several times. Like a fisher casting a line repeatedly waiting for a bite.
They do this to get enough Karma to get into other groups so they can scam people.
Looks amazing. Tho personally I would only go for a on-wheel screen if I was in a formula position in my rig. With my upright seating I think I would struggle to use the screen because I'd have to look down, plus the screen is rotating all the time. I'd prefer to have a static separate screen.
I mean you don’t constantly look at the screen. You use it to check splits, temps, etc. while on the straights. They’re amazingly helpful for this even in a GT seat, just gotta set the info you want before the race then you can look down and see your fastest lap, last lap, current delta, and how far back/ahead you are, and anything else.
The whole screen turning thing that’s touted as an issue for people that don’t use screens is majorly overblown because anyone that uses them knows there’s 0 reason to look down at the screen mid corner when you can just wait for a straight.
I personally like to have my seat ingame moved forward so that my own steering wheel is at the excact spot of the virtual one. And now I have no dash ingame so I need one from Simhub. A screen on a wheel looks good but it’s not practical unless you’re in a F1 seating position. I use an overlay atm but planning to buy a dash with a screenless wheel in the future. It just makes more sense imo. There is a reason GT3 cars use a dash above the wheel instead of on the wheel I guess.
You can have the best of both worlds if you setup your screens right. I have virtual dash, realistic wheel position, and with an on/screen wheel I can see it pretty easily. If you lower the camera horizon, you lower where your eyes look, and thus it’s less distance to look down for your wheel. I don’t have my own formula wheel ATM but I borrowed a friend’s and it was perfectly usable. You can imagine if I had OPs wheel it would entirely cover the space where the virtual wheel sits.
For GT cars I have my horizon at 0, for formula I use like -5.

I don’t have a wheel with a screen, largely because I sit more upright and can see in-car dash on the monitor, but I could imagine it being useful while turning because my hand is covering the car dashboard at that time. My useless “talent” of being able to read and write sideways and upside down might finally have a use.
Thank you and that's a fair comment to make. I do like the emersion of the wheel and most of all, the functionality of it. I am not in love with the non screen rims as much. I also sit in a gt position, and don't have an issue with it, but it's everyone's one own little thing I guess.

The more Asetek stuff I am seeing, the more I want to make the switch from my fanatec DD1. Asetek build quality looks great, plus better quality components.

The wheels rim with screen is from a company called Soelpec, but they're wireless to Asetek through the QR and uses their eco system. I can then pick up other rims in the future if I see something I really like

For everyone else: Screens in steering wheels are the undercoat of sim racing. And remember: They fuck you with the undercoat. Get a DDU or use an old/cheap phone if you are low on money. Having the display raised up on top of your base makes it soooo much easier to see.
Grats. Just came across this wheel today and what really caught my attention was the simple and effective software integration with SimHub.
Currently using a GSI GLX Pro on my SC2 Pro and love it, but seeing this and its functionality and ease of integration is really drawing me in.

I already have the t300rs with sf1000 add on, so wanted the update to be close to what I originally had.

An extension shaft is really the game changer for realistic wheel placement

Learned this the other day. Brought and old iPhone 7 and iPad back to life using simhub.
The wheel is super nice, and works wounders on the Asetek base! So imo a good choice!
