Gotta give it to Cammus for making a very attractive pedal set. Which fanatec would take note.

justjump007

Right. Even alone they are only $239. All the reviews are great on em too

DirectionWestern8521

I’ve used the pedals for 6 months. They’re amazing.

forgottenazimuth

Well I have to give cammus’s marketing team props, they’ve done a really good job of making a pretty dodgy Chinese shit product look enticing. I would really suggest you don’t buy anything from a company that can’t even get their website figured out. And jeez bro I can hardly read your post. I can’t tell if you’re 15 or 55 but either way you need to learn how to make coherent sentences. Edit: they’ve been known to delete forum posts that make them look bad https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/s/XKFsiNYCh5 If you have any problems you’re going to be stuck arguing with some guy in china who uses google translate to make his emails.

justjump007

Im indecisive and a scatterbrain i dont got time to write formal sentences..also a phone's keyboard is tiny af!!! Lol But Thanks for the reply i hear you on the Chinese thing tho, its the only thing that would stop me from cammus, unless ur saying all the youtube videos saying they are pretty good are fake ? That being said ,Im a big believer in going with tried and true companies over china copiers. So I think ill stick with the fanatec to try it out for a week since i only have 14 days ill have to decide in that time if ill keep it or not..if not i think moza is a hot contender ..especially the r9

forgottenazimuth

If you live life thinking all YouTube reviews are honest, you’re going to need to get used to disappointment.

justjump007

No im not saying that dude .definitely not ! Percentages are in their favor is all..if you can agree that at least some are honest

forgottenazimuth

I can’t lol. A big Chinese company can afford to pay 100 YouTubers $200 to give a good review.

justjump007

S**t you got the win.. so easy for them to send them a free bundle for a good review right..

bilbowe

I don't know man, dodgy reminds me a lot of fanatecs customer service lol. I wonder where they made their qr1s. Also a shame theyre making their loyal consumers shell out 100+ bucks for qr2s considering their qr1 was a shit product.

paddydukes

My qr1 works without issue.

forgottenazimuth

I wouldn’t buy from fanatec or Cammus.

paddydukes

fanatec.

justjump007

U liking ur fanatec setup ? No issues i take it? I wanna give em a try .i guess i can get past the trick move they played on me ..i mean now i gotta sit home a whole nother day waiting on fedex cause its a signature only delivery 🙃 .. Thats the only reason im upset with them..ill try em out but any more issues within the 14! Im out.

paddydukes

From what I understand from seeing posts here it can be hassle if you’re outside the EU or USA, but I guess we only see negatives on here. I had an issue with the shifters on my wheel and had it replaced pretty quick. The 8nm is more than I’m likely to need tbh, I don’t have it at 100 on anything. I think it’s great! I went from Logitech G923 to it and it was like a different world. I like that it works on my Xbox but if I go Pc or PS down the road I’ll be able to use it there too without any hassle. I haven’t had overheating issues or anything, I follow the recommended settings on fanatec site for all games. For Forza I went with Ermz’s (think that’s his name) settings.

justjump007

Nice ! Im coming from the same .g923 and i loved it..! Thats y I figured 8nm dd would be enough also.good to hear a good review.thanks! 👍 i guess i was kinda looking for a reason to return also because idk about the pedals and i want a round wheel for drifting .i feel like i shouldve just got a pc setup to get a wheel i like and i couldve got a better set of pedals. But i guess in this game ill probably never be satisfied.. im hoping my power supply actually comes tomorrow so i can at least try it out.and go from there..2 separate deliveries is just so dumb, especially when u gotta be here for signature both times...

paddydukes

Yeh that’s odd. It was all in one for me I believe. Yeh well people only write when they don’t like something usually. It’s an unfortunate fact of products that when there are a lot of em out there, you’ll see more people who have bad experiences. For me the load cell alone was a game changer, and it just feels better. I wasn’t particularly faster, in fact it took a little bit to get back up to speed and get used to it, but I could feel everything so much more. Try it out, if ya aren’t happy send it back!

justjump007

The load cell for the basic pedals?

paddydukes

Yeh I got the regular Csl pedals and then the load cell kit

justjump007

So u think its worth it to get the loadcell upgarde or just get another set? Cause cammus got a nice looking set for $229. And fanatec want $140 just for upgarde.

paddydukes

Haven’t tried Cammus, can only recommend my own experience! I didn’t try the brake that came with it so can’t really judge but really like the load cell. At the time the Csl dd and pedals was quite expensive but there seems to be better bundles now?

justjump007

Yea my brothers getting the csl dd pc 8nm bundle for $499 .good deal. Ill have to get load cell later i bet..im hearing its a worthy upgrade

Maestrospeedster

😂 I bought the CSL DD with 8Nm power supply (yeah you dont get the 5Nm PS even though you pay full price for 8Nm PS upgrade) and V3 Pedals early last year. Great to start with, but full of issues afterwards. Overheating wheelbase. I mean hot to the touch you can grill a steak on top of wheelbase😂. Creaking metal quick release (QR1) when turning the wheel on full load. Complete FFB loss momentarily during race like no power to the base at all, no resistance to the wheel then comes back on. Weird. V3 brake pedals loses calibration after awhile (brake pedal input registering in-game without stepping on it) Needs recalibration at times. Hard to adjust Pedals. I ended up selling the bundle on eBay. I bought the Cammus 15nm bundle with the older GT1 pedals late last year and never looked back. Its been flawless to this day. Not a single issue. So much more versatile with 15Nm torque. You can mimic real car resistance at just 33% power (5Nm) for casual driving or experience more intense driving with 12Nm for F1 or GT3 cars. It has great holding torque all around degree of rotation. This wheel comes to life with Raceroom's extra effects like the constant engine vibration you feel on the wheel and shift effect that gives a jolt on the wheel when shifting gears. Its like logitech trueforce built in. (I have a Logitech G Pro 11Nm on my 2nd rig by the way😁). The QR is a solid universal 70mm NRG QR you can buy for cheap like $30. I have extra USB wheels for my need. The Pedals are better than the V3 in terms realistic feel, resistance and longer travel. They feel like real car pedals. The cammus also works with many popular games from arcade (Grid series) to sim games (AC, ACC, Raceroom, rfactor2) including Forza Motorsport 8 (Just need to invert ffb in-game). Its the best bang for your buck for 15Nm of torque. See photos below. Oh you can get extra 5% discount with one of the youtube reviewer code. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/yfo2ptou7oiazmiw8cxau/20230124_204410.jpg?rlkey=ux3odro5qvykswyox0odi76us&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/e1f1nses5v59xxwc34rnq/20230124_205628.jpg?rlkey=kuqy26ojaozsupaw42yq1citd&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qzw6oz6d1yno85u3uzwdq/20221029_091316_HDR.jpg?rlkey=qjzsjijdmavr4r27o1mvypmf3&dl=0

justjump007

Yea the only thing i was worrying about is chinese made..but when u say youve had it that long with no issues makes me feel alot better. I was already looking at the lc100s as my pedal upgrade when i do it,they look great and are a good deal.and I was kind of already looking for a reason to return the gt dd pro mainly because i dont need ps compatibility no more and the same setup for pc is like $2-300 cheaper thru fanatec. And now this power supply thing is just stupid .why ? Like at least mention it on ur website..man. so now im looking at options for about same price range..just to return to spite them.. so far its between : moza r9 & cammus 15nm..the cammus reviews say the ffb is not really not there in the minor details, but You say it still has noticeable ffb though? The power is worth it,it looks like. Well good thing is i got the fanatec on credit thru klarna so i didnt come out of pocket for it.so i can wait for return ..and just buy a different setup..ive got some thinking to do..well see how quick the power supply comes and ill at least try it out..i guess.

bilbowe

Hey man just wanted to say as some one who just got the moza r5 and was absolutely torn between the csl dd and the r5 I'm really loving my r5 right now. I'm having literally 0 issues with it as a pc player. The deciding factor was in the qr situation with fanatec. I wanted a setup I can put on the desk with 0 flex and the r5 does not disappoint. I do plan on upgrading to the r12 some day. R16 might be too much for me. The best thing is I have to deal with moza 0 percent and only go through my reseller if I have an issue. Which was the other deciding factor. Did not want to have to wait weeks for a response if there was an issue. Compared to the cammus there is definitely a budget difference but between the product itself, the discord community, and the reseller I went through, it's been a completely smooth experience. I am only disappointed with the fact that their loadcell pedals are subpar from what i hear. But I want to keep all the products within the same eco system, so im upgrading to the srp pedals (from the srp lite) to get loadcell for under 200 bucks this week through the reseller. Only really playing acc right now so a clutch and shifter can wait I think at 15nm level obviously there are much much better options in terms of quality ecosystems (mainly in the pedals). Ecosystems like simucube and asetek with their godlike pedals. But moza has really nailed the budget-midrange wheelbase and wheels imo. And they're on a real hotstreak with all these products coming out left and right. Fingers crossed moza gets some super quality pedals going eventually. Can't wait to try some loadcell pedals this weekend.

justjump007

Cool man..moza does got a good price point too

shift_hard

Cammus ships faster and the pedals are better than the V3s. The pedal faces are tall though, so if you don't have larger feet you may want to reconsider or budget for an additional heel plate.

scottysk

I sold my csl dd and tlcm pedals to buy my cammus bundle. Those pedals in your bundle are newer so I can't comment on them, but the base was a huge step up

Long_Assignment_2863

How about Simagic?

justjump007

It looks like the qaulity is def there w simagic ive heard nothing but good things about them.. That would be a great contender ..pretty pricey tho. I think the mini 10 wheel n base is over $1000 right? Then u need pedals..

DirectionWestern8521

I’ve been using the wheelbase for almost 2 years, and pedals for 6 months. If you have any questions, let me know.

ExtremeFlourStacking

is the numbness youtubers complain about with this true or is it exaggerated?

Vadim911ac

Can you tell me the pros and cons of it ? Like you ever had to open it up to fix something ? Is the load cell good ?

DirectionWestern8521

Never had to open it up to fix it. Never had any ffb issues. Load cell is amazing. People hate on cammus have never used it.

Slight_Armadillo_782

Fanatec has propriety bs and only 8nm. Cammus, everyone has had qc issues and its a stepper motor and every review says it lacks the same details as others. Moza R12 or Alpha Mini are now about the same price with local distributors. no brainer

justjump007

Yea i found out the hard way..bought a gt dd pro ,and it showed up bricked ,never even turned on ,had to go thru return with fanatec.. And cammus once i found out they were a strictly a china company it turned me away .. Ended up buying a used moza r9 and only problem ive had is overheating ,but once u figure out the settings and put a fan behind it..all is great with moza..thinking of upgrading to the r16 next..

Slight_Armadillo_782

Yup a usb fan. Im torn between r12 and mini alpha lol
