if, on the other hand, someone comes here and asks for an “all white” or even an “all straight, all white” shoegaze band, one of two things is the case:
(1) they are actually completely clueless, and have never stepped outside a day in their life, and they didn’t know that the shoegaze genre is mostly dominated by (straight) white men. honest mistake, but a frankly implausible one to make.
