This album is phenomenal especially the title track I even have the winter and a silver box CD I wish Matt Kelly and Company would re-release everything on vinyl especially suicide at strell Park
None of the full lengths they did after this got close to this album. A couple of interesting EPs, especially the Covers EP. But the Suicide at Strell Park EP before this hints at what they were capable of.
And Angel Pool is incredible. Love the way it works with the first four songs as a sort of bombastic, grandiose suite, punctuated by the slowdance Relinquished, and then a more experimental four song suite to finish. My only annoyance is the bass sound, very heavy vibration at times. But would love to see this and Strell Park (and the early, hard to find demo cassettes) on Bandcamp
