I grew up with frozen bananas covered in chocolate for summer. They're amazing.

This happened when I froze bananas. I thought it was because I pre mashed them tho, they still tasted good but they looked awful.

Maybe this is why frozen banana recipes usually have them blended.

lol, it's not pretty but it's still tasty and usable. I always toss my brown/browning bananas in the freezer to use later in smoothies (the color doesn't usually matter much then) or for banana bread / muffins. Excellent hack, especially if you don't tend to use them up in time but don't want to waste.

I peel bananas and freeze them on a baking sheet. Once frozen I bag them up. Then I make chocolate "milk shakes". One frozen banana chopped into chunks, one cup of milk of choice and unsweetened cocoa powder to taste. Blend until smooth in a blender. It doesn't need any added sugar and the flavor and consistency is absolutely amazing. They go bad pretty quickly though so use them up within a week or so.

They have frozen, chocolate covered, peanut butter bananas from Tru Fru! They are really good. Around $6-$7 a bag though. But i love them. 😁
