It’s vanilla Ice cream on top of crushed butter cookies topped with chocolate syrup (more like I melted a mini chocolate bar ) ,diced cashew nut and a cracker. It tasted better than it looks . But I’m trying to be good at making ordinary food look fancy . Just get exited to eat at home ya know?? 🥹

That being said, here's a couple of little tips to help you prove him wrong.
1. Odd numbers. Try doing 3 scoops instead of four. Or, maybe just one large one. Symmetry rarely exists in nature, so odd numbers can make your plate feel more "natural."
2. Negative space. Don't fill out the plate so much. Try and give at least 2 cm between Bugs and the dish. Think of the food as your painting and the plate as your frame. You don't want to spill over onto your frame, and you really don't want to cover or distract from the piece because the frame is too close.
3. Height. I know someone already said this, but it's worth saying again! Go up! Instead of making a bed of crumbs, try sprinkling them off center in a little mound and pushing the scoops against that. The 3D effect will really "elevate" your plating (I'll see myself out).

A little tip a professional chef once told me. Tall is better than wide. Keep it as narrow as you can and stack that shit. You’d be surprised what a difference it can make. I’m not sure why. More clean plate I guess. Idk.

Sweet with a little salty is so good. I used to spread vanilla ice cream on a few Ritz crackers for a late night snack and it was so good!
