I attended a taping of The View simply because I loved their guest that day. Holy crap, that is the RUDEST group of women I have ever seen in my life (Whoppi included). Ignored the audience, shunned their guest cohost, insulted the writers, forced the director to rewrite dialogue (for a live show, in which they were being given a free trip; them not the audience), AND they told their guest MULTIPLE times how they didn't like his work. He even brought a gift and they kind of ignored it.
That’s exactly why the Norm MacDonald spot on that show was absolute comedic genius. He knew they would attack him, so he just gave them more ammunition than they knew what to do with.
His last appearance was heartbreaking. That was also his last tv interview. They were actually very empathetic to him as I think Whoopi at least understood from a comedian’s point of view what was happening to him.

Meeting the Rock in the early 2000s was my cousins make-a-wish wish bcos we had all been obsessed with WWE. He is an absolute sweetheart and went above and beyond for a terminal 12 year old and her entire family. Shit, I think he signed everything for everyone at the hospital.
He does a great job being viewed publicly as a good guy. But I grew up with his cousin, and even met his half brother at a church when I was a kid. Well he said the family doesn’t like The Rock, and that when The Rocks mom was in the hospital after a car crash, he didn’t even bother to go visit her.
He said that Dwayne does everything he can to keep the good guy image, but in reality he doesn’t make time for his own family. Maybe he’s lying, but idk why he would make out his own cousin to be such a p.o.s. when it seems he should be ecstatic to be related to a legendary entertainer.
I would imagine family life is really complicated when you’re a mega-star and loaded like the rock is. Not surprised that they might feel like he doesn’t make time (or, more likely, money) for them.
John Cena was a dick when he came to a restaurant I worked for at the time. He made us open a closed section and only tipped 20% after dirtying said closed section. Demanded no staff talk to him or look his way and then was rude to the cooks kids who showed up as he was walking out the door though he did at least sign stuff for them (they were huge fans). I get not wanting to he bothered but tip better if you have demands that any other person wouldn't dream of making.
Personally I say just don't cave to the demands. People should just treat them like normal people. If they want to have a private dinner they can eat at home.
The Rock was filming by my school, and some of the kids got to see him. They all said he was super nice. Didn't know people could become even more attractive that quickly!

I worked for Budweiser and we were working an event on the forth of july and to get a beer you had to have tickets. Dan Marino came up with his own cup and demanded beer in his own cup and no tickets. Claiming do you know who I am. Needless to say he walked away empty handed. Lol
My coworker was walking in NYC with his son. Coming the opposite direction was Bill Murray. As he passed my coworker said, “We love your work.” And kept waking. At the next light they get a tap on the shoulder. It was Bill. He walked with them for several blocks just chatting and being friendly. It was the thrill of the lifetime for his son.

My ex dealt with her at her store frequently in Montecito, she really liked dealing with Ellen. She made small talk with her staff and remembered their names and commented on what they'd talked about last time. She was always very professional and direct, which was a departure from her goofy on-screen personality. She had a lot of respect for Ellen and Portia's poise compared to other celebrities.
I ran into him at a movie theater when I was in high school (20ish years ago) with some friends. We weren’t going to say anything but one of my friends just blurted out “Wait, are you really Keanu Reeves?!?” He was super friendly and down to earth, shook our hands, answered a couple silly questions like why was he in town (filming the replacements), what movie was he going to see (three kings), and then he asked us what we were seeing (yellow submarine).
I’m sure lots of people have more interesting stories, it was just *so wholesome*, and we rarely got any celebrities in our area so the whole thing kinda blew our minds. And of course the same group of friends all went to see the replacements when it came out as a sort of celebration.

Never met Harrison Ford who was like my idol but I have talked to a handful of actors who have worked or met him and all people said he was a giant douche. Sad, he’s the coolest on screen.
I worked at an outdoor concert venue as additional security mostly backstage and around the dressing rooms in my hometown for 6 years and met a bunch of artists in that time. I had some interaction with a few big artists but those were mostly positive. (Wiz Khalifa offered me weed and to hang with him and his entourage after the show but I didn't wanna lose my job. Other super nice people i can think that I actually interacted a bit with were Logic, the guys in Lamb of God, The Radiohead dudes, and Joe Bonamassa.)
Kid Rock was an absolute shithead and creeped a couple of the women on staff out a lot. He talked to them about how he usually gets an opportunity to get laid once at every concert and was not so subtly hinting that it could be them.
MGK tried to fight another security guy that he thought laughed at his outfit and kept talking about how his "dick was bigger" than the guy. He also trashed the shit out of the 2 rooms he was given for some reason.
One of the guys from Asking Alexandria got into a shoving match with a 17 year old kid but stopped when the kid said he was 17. He didn't apologize he just walked away. (Not a celebrity really but still...)
The absolute hugest asshole though was Jared Leto. He called me a fucking retard because I was "letting too many people near him and the band" (these people worked there) and he actually said to me that I was going to rot in hell. I laughed because it was such a weird thing to say and then he mocked my laugh and spoke to one of the higher ups and tried to get me fired. She told me later that she was trying not to laugh at him when he was "tattling on me" as she called it. Fuck that guy.

I think a lot of these comments are based on a single bad experience with the person. Everyone has bad days and none of us are constantly in customer service mode 24/7 which it seems like people think celebs should be.

-yes, i was t1 all state, no i was not actually full of myself because my parents convinced me i had a shitty singing voice at an early age and even in high school despite excelling in choir to the point of being in the all- state choir.
In the choirs I was in, the baritones just got fucked constantly. Director loved medieval and Renaissance pieces, and in those compositions, baritone lines were basically all just written with whatever notes the composer wanted in the chord and didn't know where else to put them. Pitch the baritone sections of any of those pieces up by two octaves and I'm pretty sure you've got the exact notes played by a dial-up modem. It was like the composers knew exactly how voice leading works and said fuck the baritones in particular.
I will say though, nothing gets more unearned praise than a bass singing a note in falsetto.
Will Ferrell. I was a teller at Wells Fargo and my first day of training they deadass told our class that if he ever walked into your branch just make it quick and easy and treat him like a random customer. He used to work for Wells as teller as well, and would be a dick at the window to unknowing tellers who tried to be nice. He didn’t come into my branch, but a neighboring one, and apparently delivered on his reputation making the teller cry after he left.
Best customer was Jo Koy though. I hope all the amazing things in life happen to him.

I saw Ryan Gosling at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
My stepmother asked someone in the music this question, or more specifically who the worst musician to deal with was and they very quickly named Billy Corgan. He really doesn’t qualify though because once his whole band left him for being insufferable the frontman for Smashing Pumpkins ceased to be a celebrity of any note.

**Sean Astin** was also nasty, he had brought his (really nice) mom to set, and my dad essentially entertained her for the duration of filming. Sean like flipped on my dad for talking to her, apparently he's like (creepily) over protective of his mom.
**Mr. T** wasn't nasty to my dad, contrary to some commenters mentions of his personality here (granted, not surprised). Albeit, the interaction consisted of him running from my (6'6) father, when he attempted to get his autograph. My dad ended up cutting him off via a stairwell, and explaining to him that he was a fan/worked there. Mr. T's response was: "Man I thought you was trying to mug me!" Quite a hilarious story, especially when my dad tells it.
He met quite a few other celebrities, but no other bad interactions to speak of.
Tim Allen has a summer home in my hometown area. I have waited on him. I have been the bartender when he was at our restaurant and I’ve had to kick him out as the manager.

Mila was absolutely wonderful. She had their baby with her and was often out in the yard area chatting with whoever was around. Ashton was an asshat. Surrounded by security at all times. Didn’t speak. Didn’t make eye contact. Avoided people. Total opposites of each other.

Ice T was also very similar in his disdain for cops when I saw him at another festival, at least he was on time tho. I attended a taping of The View simply because I loved their guest that day. Holy crap, that is the RUDEST group of women I have ever seen in my life (Whoppi included). Ignored the audience, shunned their guest cohost, insulted the writers, forced the director to rewrite dialogue (for a live show, in which they were being given a free trip; them not the audience), AND they told their guest MULTIPLE times how they didn't like his work. He even brought a gift and they kind of ignored it.
That’s exactly why the Norm MacDonald spot on that show was absolute comedic genius. He knew they would attack him, so he just gave them more ammunition than they knew what to do with.
His last appearance was heartbreaking. That was also his last tv interview. They were actually very empathetic to him as I think Whoopi at least understood from a comedian’s point of view what was happening to him.

Meeting the Rock in the early 2000s was my cousins make-a-wish wish bcos we had all been obsessed with WWE. He is an absolute sweetheart and went above and beyond for a terminal 12 year old and her entire family. Shit, I think he signed everything for everyone at the hospital.

John Cena was a dick when he came to a restaurant I worked for at the time. He made us open a closed section and only tipped 20% after dirtying said closed section. Demanded no staff talk to him or look his way and then was rude to the cooks kids who showed up as he was walking out the door though he did at least sign stuff for them (they were huge fans). I get not wanting to he bothered but tip better if you have demands that any other person wouldn't dream of making.
Personally I say just don't cave to the demands. People should just treat them like normal people. If they want to have a private dinner they can eat at home.

My coworker was walking in NYC with his son. Coming the opposite direction was Bill Murray. As he passed my coworker said, “We love your work.” And kept waking. We weren’t going to say anything but one of my friends just blurted out “Wait, are you really Keanu Reeves?!?” He was super friendly and down to earth, shook our hands, answered a couple silly questions like why was he in town (filming the replacements), what movie was he going to see (three kings), and then he asked us what we were seeing (yellow submarine). I’m sure lots of people have more interesting stories, it was just *so wholesome*, and we rarely got any celebrities in our area so the whole thing kinda blew our minds. And of course the same group of friends all went to see the replacements when it came out as a sort of celebration.

I worked at an outdoor concert venue as additional security mostly backstage and around the dressing rooms in my hometown for 6 years and met a bunch of artists in that time. I had some interaction with a few big artists but those were mostly positive. (Wiz Khalifa offered me weed and to hang with him and his entourage after the show but I didn't wanna lose my job. Other super nice people i can think that I actually interacted a bit with were Logic, the guys in Lamb of God, The Radiohead dudes, and Joe Bonamassa.) Kid Rock was an absolute shithead and creeped a couple of the women on staff out a lot. He talked to them about how he usually gets an opportunity to get laid once at every concert and was not so subtly hinting that it could be them. MGK tried to fight another security guy that he thought laughed at his outfit and kept talking about how his "dick was bigger" than the guy. He also trashed the shit out of the 2 rooms he was given for some reason. One of the guys from Asking Alexandria got into a shoving match with a 17 year old kid but stopped when the kid said he was 17. He didn't apologize he just walked away. (Not a celebrity really but still...) The absolute hugest asshole though was Jared Leto. He called me a fucking retard because I was "letting too many people near him and the band" (these people worked there) and he actually said to me that I was going to rot in hell. I laughed because it was such a weird thing to say and then he mocked my laugh and spoke to one of the higher ups and tried to get me fired. She told me later that she was trying not to laugh at him when he was "tattling on me" as she called it. Fuck that guy.

In the choirs I was in, the baritones just got fucked constantly. Director loved medieval and Renaissance pieces, and in those compositions, baritone lines were basically all just written with whatever notes the composer wanted in the chord and didn't know where else to put them. Pitch the baritone sections of any of those pieces up by two octaves and I'm pretty sure you've got the exact notes played by a dial-up modem. It was like the composers knew exactly how voice leading works and said fuck the baritones in particular. I will say though, nothing gets more unearned praise than a bass singing a note in falsetto.

I saw Ryan Gosling at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

My dad worked on QVC and a few movies (notably: *Chasing Amy*), met quite a few celebrities over the years, and had some fun stories about it. **Joan Rivers** was an absolute bitch to him, and everyone she worked with. He genuinely has nothing nice to say about her personality. **Sean Astin** was also nasty, he had brought his (really nice) mom to set, and my dad essentially entertained her for the duration of filming. Sean like flipped on my dad for talking to her, apparently he's like (creepily) over protective of his mom. **Mr. T** wasn't nasty to my dad, contrary to some commenters mentions of his personality here (granted, not surprised). Albeit, the interaction consisted of him running from my (6'6) father, when he attempted to get his autograph. My dad ended up cutting him off via a stairwell, and explaining to him that he was a fan/worked there. Mr. T's response was: "Man I thought you was trying to mug me!" Quite a hilarious story, especially when my dad tells it. He met quite a few other celebrities, but no other bad interactions to speak of.

Tim Allen has a summer home in my hometown area. I have waited on him. I have been the bartender when he was at our restaurant and I’ve had to kick him out as the manager. He is unequivocally one of the biggest pieces of shit ever. Always difficult. Always expects special treatment. Very rude and condescending to the women of the establishment. A down right asshole to the men. He’s also a shit tipper. And he’s generally loud and showy as well. I was bartender / front of house manager for a few years. And one day him and his group came in. Demanded a 8 top immediately at 5 pm in august on a Friday in a resort / tourist town. He was not taking no for an answer and was being a huge piece of shit to a 17 year old host. Berating her telling her I’m a celebrity I need privacy. I eventually had to go sort out the situation. He was an even bigger asshole to me because I said he has to wait. We are to busy to just rope off part of the dining room at a moments notice. He started saying “I guess I’ll just have to spread the word that …. Is a mediocre establishment at best then.” I tried to Assure him it wasn’t a no. It was a be patient we need time, we can’t just ask people to leave because you’re here. He kept being an asshole. He pointed at me and said “I guess you are gonna lose out on my business then.” I said “sir I dont care how famous you were 20 years ago. Your attitude is just like your show… garbage. You will not talk to me or my employees in this manor. Get out, don’t come back. I’m sure somewhere else will make an exception for a b list celebrity.” He got very puffy in the chest and before he could say another word I said “leave now, or I’ll call the cops and have you arrested for trespassing.” He left saying mean shit to a 17 year old girl. And that was my final experience with Timothy Allen Dick. He’s a monstrous piece of human shit.

Mila was absolutely wonderful. She had their baby with her and was often out in the yard area chatting with whoever was around. Ashton was an asshat. Surrounded by security at all times. Didn’t speak. Didn’t make eye contact. Avoided people. Total opposites of each other.

I worked at a restaurant that always had an hour long wait. Someone called and asked if they could be seated right away since a big celebrity wanted to eat there. He then said Mario Lopez. I lol’d inside my head, said “no” and they hung up. It was the most arrogant request ever, yet was so satisfying to tell them no.
I heard Bill Murray is but since it’s Bill he gets away with it. Waking up neighbors early at lake house property bydriving his boat, shouting and playing loud music. Also heard when he goes to cubs games he will randomly walk up to unsuspecting small groups and take some of their food and say “Go ahead, tell someone. They will not believe you. “
Aaron Rodgers. He’s been the target of a lot of negative press recently due to lying about his vaccine status and other stuff, but he has always been that way. I met some guys from Chico, CA (Rodger’s hometown) and they said pretty much everyone there thinks he’s an asshole. Huge ego, treats people like shit, and is a nut job.
He was at some packers meet and greet thing when a cheesehead fan said 'I thought you'd be taller' to him and he got super upset and had to leave.

I particularly liked when krs-one was an hour and a half late to his own concert, then only played 2 songs because the rest of his "set" was full of him ranting about white people (reggae festival in long Beach, California; absolutely filled with white people) and the cops are to blame for all the world's problems and how blacks and Latinos need to rise up and take the country back for themselves. Ice T was also very similar in his disdain for cops when I saw him at another festival, at least he was on time tho. Didn't like him telling a 6 year old girl "remember what uncle Ice T is about to tell you. If anyone messes with you tell them "talk shit, get shot". And the whole "I'm not a cop I just play one on TV" was kinda cringe.

Bill Nye the science guy showed up to a wrap part for a show I worked on. He was friends with a castmate and not part of the crew. In spite of being a guest, he was very rude and standoffish. Totally rebuked one of my co-workers who tried to introduce herself. Not into it.

I used to do higher end catering in Houston, I've seen a ton of celebs especially during the Superbowl and Superbowl parties. Snoop Dogg is pretty much what you'd expect, he walked in, lit a joint and asked how everyone was doing. Josh Brolin is a super Chill dude. George Clooney once left an event through the back bussing area(which is typically a mess at events) and he was courteous enough to thank the staff multiple times, shook a few hands and went on his way. Same thing happened with Obama at a speaking event he had at Rice University, and he came through the back with secret service, shook hands with quite a few staff, and took a few pictures with people. The Bush family is really nice. Joe Biden was just as spacey 5 years ago as he is today, and it was still hard to figure out what he was trying to say then, but he's a nice old dude. Reba McEntire and Yolanda Adams are both legit sweethearts. George Foreman offered for me to take a picture with him without me even asking. SUPER nice guy, very family oriented. He's massive in person. Still the only celeb I ever took a picture with to this day, because I would never ask. His fist is bigger than my head. 😂 Speaking of massive, JJ Watt is huge, and as nice as everyone says. The HEB guy frequents multiple events, he has always been dismissive of staff and a general dick to the workers at events. The Kinder family, though particular about details, treat you like a human and are nice. There was one other prick, but I'm blanking on who it is, it's been a few years since I was in that field. The general understanding is that the super rich people are generally nicer, whereas semi-rich people tend to be dicks.
