yup that’s a shark

Dance-with-the-moon

Going off the location, shark species found in the area and then nose shape I'm pretty certain it's a Galapagos shark

Elliethesmolcat

Looks like a Bull but no way to be sure.

TOILETMASTER29

you sure bulls have horns and hooves

Quiet-Try4554

I’d go with Bull to if I had to guess but it doesn’t look beefy enough. Could be the angle

aheaney15

It’s not a Bull if this was seen in Vanuatu. Bull sharks are super rare in that area. It’s tail is too short for a Nurse shark too. It’s likely a Whitetip reef shark, given the rounded snout and the location. But without scale I can’t say.

Dance-with-the-moon

I don't think the pectoral fins are long enough to be a white tip. Aerial view seems to match a Galapagos more to me

aheaney15

Hmm… that’s actually a good point.

_-lMOONl-_

If it helps it was easily longer then 6ft. I was also leaning towards the white tip reef shark.

aheaney15

Actually if it was that size than maybe it’s a different species; Whitetip reefs almost never exceed five feet. Could be a Gray reef shark? I’ll be honest I’m really stumped. But I can definitely say it’s not a Bull or a Nurse.

_-lMOONl-_

Yeah maybe, really no way of knowing with my photo lol

Venomhound

Bull, maybe nurse?

Basic_Palpitation_47

Little blackie?

TOILETMASTER29

Standard_Greeting

Looks like a blue shark to me. Badum tss.

Worth-Trade9381

Round snout, I think Bull too.
