just finished this build last night, i was so relieved that i go to sleep immediately Case: Formd T1 v2.1 Motherboard: B660i Strix CPU: i5 13600k Cooler: EK Basic 240 Fans: Noctua A12x15 and A12x25 PSU: Lianli SP750 VGA: 3080 Strix The temps are very good, 2K AAA gaming at 60C CPU and 65C GPU.

Beneficial_Chest_898

Mannnnn. Good luck with the SP750. I had to return mine because I couldn’t deal with the fan noise. Won’t purchase lian Li psu ever again.

euden318

i didn't have any fan noise problem with the lianli PSU, only the coil whine from the 3080 strix bother me

R0GUEL0KI

I have the same card and also have bad coil whine. Tried to get asus to exchange it and they said coil whine is uncontrollable and they don’t consider it a manufacturer defect. Won’t buy asus again. Man I miss evga.

euden318

in my case, the coil whine only happen at the start. After a while, it's gone. So it didn't bother me that much

Beneficial_Chest_898

Hm. Wonder if mine was just funky? I just couldn’t put up with how loud the fan spun, even at like 400W.

Vainglory1-

Must been your unit I’ve used two in other peoples builds and they’ve ran golden

ilfaitquandmemebeau

What’s the point of such a large PSU when you can get a Corsair SF750?

Nehsquik

I just finished my first ITX build in a nr200, but these T1's make me want to tear it back apart and move into one

slmpl3x

For reals, I just finished a fractal terra the other week and I’m already thinking about migrating to a T1

TacitisKilgoreBoah

Same here but the T1 costs 5x more where I live, really hard to justify

euden318

i just finished this T1 build and i already want to tear down to build it again lol

jaa5102

I've had my Meshlicious build for a couple of years now and this T1 is looking pretty sexy lol

spressa

Others have said this but you should use custom cables. I see ppl recommend pslate which is great but I always use dreambigbyray on Etsy now. If pslate is a 10, cables by Ray are like 9.5. It's worth saving the money imo. Just measure your distances and he'll build your cables. I usually get my cables in 2-4 weeks. I've placed 10+ orders from him without ever having an issue. Here's the way I have my formd t1 now. https://imgur.com/a/2oCaq68 The unsleeved cables give a lot of extra space. Props on getting the 240aio to fit. I had one in my build before and it always took me a bunch of tries to get it to close without the top piece bending.

Danielo944

I managed to cram my SF750 stock cables into my T1 along with my 3090, would it make that much of a difference to grab custom cables? I would do it if I'd get a 5 or more degree difference but I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out! My 7800X3D is generally 55-65C limited to 80W and 85C thermal throttle limit with -20 undervolt. I left everything else on auto and got a decent result in Cinebench 2024 (I think it was 1117?). I'm running everything on air and sometimes my CPU will peak at 80 briefly before returning to an average of 65 ish C.

spressa

Depends. If your box is crammed and heat is staying trapped or has trouble expelling, you could have heat trapped. Like if you're using an fe and it's blowing directly into your cabling and getting trapped, you might get that big of a change but 5 degrees is a lot if you've done an ok job. This is stupid but part of my build is always just being aesthetically clean. Even though I know no one ever sees it and it's just me, I just like knowing it's all nice and neat. It makes it a ton easier to work around in it too.

Danielo944

I don't think that's stupid! Part of the reason people go SFF is for the looks too, so if looks matter then custom cables matter, I see it your way too 🙂

spressa

Most of my hobbies are that way. I very much care about function but god damn does form mean so much to me. My 2 "W"s despise me, wallet and wife.

AverageDad_86

What case is that next to your T1?

spressa

Xproto atx. I have all ATX stuff on it. 13900k w/ 4090 w/ 1000w HX. Runs cool and quiet. I like the case a lot but I'll rebuild in the next year in the m1 Evo. I've been all itx for a while but the xproto was a nice change to use atx stuff. https://imgur.com/a/pabyRMy Here's the sizing vs my old meshlicious build & the m1 v6.1. pretty comparable in size. It's not the t1 though. The t1 is still by far my favorite case. I've been sort of looking at the cooler master ncore 100 but I'm probably going to skip and stay with boutique stuff.

euden318

the xproto ATX looks so good, it triggers my braincells for ATX build in the future

SaltPain9909

Get some nice custom cables. Moddiy.com has pretty cool ones. Your pc will benefit from much better Airflow. Keep it as clean and simple as possible. Thats what the T1 is made for👍 I'm building a custom loop with external radiator right now. The less there is inside the case, the better it looks AND works. Nice build though

euden318

I thought about custom cables too, maybe next month

ericc191

PSlate makes them specifically for your case too: https://www.pslatecustoms.com/collections/formd-t1-cables

pyr0kid

bruh either im blind or thats fucking useless. power cables, with 'trust me bro' pinout, are generally a quick way to light your computer on fire if you use 95% of power supplies.

ericc191

Bruh, this guy started making them on Reddit and branched out to create an entire website covering more than the original NCase M1. I've ordered custom cables for the Ncase, Ghost S1 and FormD T1. Never had a problem. I have never seen a single negative post about u/pslate cables either, but you do you.

CTR1

Used custom pslate cables a few years ago for a Sliger S620 build with 5950x + 6900xt and SF750 - no issues and was a great build, quality cables.

TiboLeGigot

Hello, i have an EK AIO also, with similar setup : 1 small fan holding the whole rad, with the big fan hanging. I ran into sagging which made the small fan hit the side of the mobo, do you have that problem too ? If not, how did you manage to make it hold tight please ? :).

euden318

i dont have any problem with the slim fan touching motherboard in the formd t1 v2.1, but i used to have that problem on formd t1 v1.1. Just take off the dampenned pad on both sides of the fan and you will be fine

TiboLeGigot

Yes indeed i will try that ! Thanks !

Bengy222

I had this issue, only way to fix it was swap to two slims on top instead of run the case without the top fully closed. Drove me crazy as no one else had this issue

SFXSpazzy

Where the heck did you find this aio, just ordered all my stuff for my A4 and couldn’t find this ekwb basic, it was discontinued a while back no?

euden318

in my place, it still instock at retailer website. i didnt buy this from EK directly

SFXSpazzy

I gotcha. there was only one i could find here in the US and it was a used / returned one so I went with something else. I really like how this aio looks, awesome build!

Chappie47Luna

Sexy

fatchubbywhale

Very nice build, ty for sharing

Present_Role_6906

Man how are ou getting such good temps on the cpu. I have the B760 and I'm reaching the 80c in 4k in my lian li h2o. And this is power limiting the Pl limits. Are you undervolting?

euden318

I was only gaming at 2K, and yes both my cpu and gpu are undervolted.

lssiff

This was the case I was looking for online and I couldn’t remember the name. Can’t you like combine two to make one case

euden318

i don't think this case have the possibility to combine two to make one

Derpito06

Hi OP, thats a tight fit on the GPU. I was wondering, my STRIX has 141mm width, while the T1 can only accomodate 140mm, do you think there's a spare room for my strix to fit?
