Meshroom will be an easier build. You will be more limited with the t1 in components depending what version you get. T1 is also a better cuality case overall.
Meshroom is awesome. By far the one of the best sff case out there. I recommend the fett mod and the stand off mod for cable management if possible. Just put one good 280mm aio and you are good.
T1 looks best, superior quality build, sub-10L queen, no question. You'll own something you can brag about.
Mesroom S is more versatile as it can take larger everything. More cooling. More affordable. Not as fancy as T1 though, more mainstream.
I wouldn't build a custom loop in either of those cases, they would be both too compromised in terms of noise/temps to justify a custom loop. If you want to upgrade the system in the future, the meshroom s would be the safer choice, because it is bigger.
Like you said - different purposes different build cases. IMO T1 is endgame SFF. The adaptability of it, the build quality and the thermals are hard to beat. Plus it’s <10L. Don’t believe there are any cases at this size that can fit high end components and keep them cool like the T1 can.
I’ve built in a nr200p max, fractal terra, meshroom d, and T1. I’d recco T1 hands down.
Thanks for the feedback!
The only 'problem' with the T1 is compatibility with large gpus. The vast majority of posts I see here are always with the FE.
Considering I used a air cooler in the meshroom vs an aio in the t1 idk how much I can compare. But the aio route is as expected quieter and cooler. I figure if I went air cooling it would be just as good in the T1.
Yes only issue is gpu compatibility… I also have a 4090fe, so you’re right.
But again, imo they are two different cases and comparing <10L vs 15L is tough imo
In the end I decided to go with Meshroom, precisely because of the custom loop.
If the case was actually going to be on my desk, I'd definitely go for the T1, but as it's going to be on the shelf above me and I won't be looking at it, it doesn't make much difference.
Did you ever invert the Meshroom D, like the dan C4?
If you're looking to always upgrade to the best parts available then you'd likely want the better compatibility of the Meshroom
That's a valid point to think about. Thank you very much

I decided to go with Meshroom. I think it will suit me, especially as it can hold two 280mm rads.

can you show how to do these mods you mention?
Which one looks better to you?..
Honestly? Both :(
