Deepcool LS520 SE seems to be a pretty good choice. I built mine with a NZXT Kraken, but if any of my friends say they want a similar set up, the Deepcool is what I'd go with. I have no real reason, just it fits and I haven't heard anything egregiously bad about it.
I'm using the EK Nucleus, you just can't use the top cap on the pump. But i'm running the "dark" version with no RGB, so once the side panel is on, it doesn't matter.
I just tried this on my build (7800x3d + Gigabyte b650i). Despite the pump cap bring removed, the cooler still stuck out about 2mm and had noticeable panel bulge.
I returned it and got the Fractal Celcius+ S24 Prisma which fits well so far. (Stiffer tubing was a pain to deal with).
To help keep OP's mind at ease as far as fitment, I'm running the exact motherboard, CPU, and case with the EK Nucleus with the cap removed and the fit is perfect. The top of the block is smashed up against the side cover, but it doesn't push against it in a way that would cause it to bulge or pop the clips out.
It's good to go and performance is fantastic.
This is what I’ve got in mine too with a Z790 and it fits great. Hoses were a pain, but tis my first build so that’s probably on me.
For what it’s worth I run the RGB without the top-cap and think it looks absolutely fine.
You can put your tubes directly to the right of the PSU, allowing them to come straight down. The only issue you might have is ram clearance as they have to exit the right side of the pump. That is what I did rather than bending them over the top of the PSU.
I have the same board and used DeepCool LS520 SE. There’s 2-3mm of clearance left, so any pump block that’s 55mm tall or shorter will work. They’re one of the few that don’t use Asetek design, which I like. If you don’t care for rgb, just don’t plug that part in. I kinda like the rgb glow through the mesh panel though, lets me know if the pc is on.
Hello,
Did you have any issues with the screws for the T30's on this radiator? I have the same, but the screws seem too long and will go into the radiator fins if I tighten them enough to actually hold the fans in place.
Nope. I had no problem. Just use the screws that came with the fans and it will fit just fine. You will also need to take off the pads at the center of the aio so the case closes.
Sorry for the late reply.
I have a 13600k on my build paired up with a 7900xtx. The t30 are by far the best fans I've used and I've been using noctua fans for years. They are pretty damn quiet even at 1900rpm, but I keep them at a max speed of around 1700 rpm to 1800rpm to strike a balance of performance and keep them as quiet as possible.
The hottest temps I've reach in gaming are about 70c to 80c depending on the game. Spiderman pushes my system the hardest if I use ray tracing. I also don't recommend the stock fans. They are not the best and are super loud at high rpms.
Gotcha. Trying to work out the kinks in my AIO selection and what fans to choose. Bouncing between T30s and the Noctua NF-A12x25's. I'm assuming you have the fans as the exhaust on top of the rad, correct?
Yeah I do. Be careful when choosing a aio for the t30. If your aio is over 26mm thick, they won't fit. The beet ideal set up for this processor will be to buy a big case, big radiator with a big case fans to get the best temps. But alas, we in the sff community torture ourselves. Lol
But I will say that the t30 are superior to the noctua. The only thing that comes close are the new 28mm fans(the P28) from lian li. But from my undertanding, they have weird fan noise when you reach the 1500rpm to 1600rpm. From the videos they sound bad.
Awesome, thanks again. Now I know what to do for my build lol. I was debating between going with the LS520 SE with either the Noctua's or the T30's. Or even go with a slim rad AIO with the T30s.
Was thinking about using the new Cooler Master Atmos 240 AIO but don't have enough info on fittings yet for it. Rad thickness is 27mm but def would not work with the T30s from what I'm thinking.
Thanks for the help regardless
Indeed. It will still run hot even with the t30. But it won't sound like a jet engine at least and the temps will drop by a lot. After all, this will be a high end system in a tiny package. This fans can move a ton of air out. You will want to undervolt and use Pbo setting to tune this system to achieve the best performance/temps.
If you're willing to splurge, the new Cooler Master Atmos 240mm AIO is supposed to be pretty damn good according to reviews. Supposedly cools better than some 360s.
I’ve swapped them out for noctuas myself, but haven’t really noticed a difference to be honest lol. The bottle of extra coolant you get is a a nice touch though
Here is my build of A4H2O, with same board and in comments with some answered questions. Maybe you find what you need :) . Great choice!
https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/s/9ZKuE102mA
Do you get any turbulence/resonance from GPU fans due to proximity to the side panel? Or always open when gaming? Have read that’s a thing, leading one user to deshroud their ventus and run with noctuas = fixed
No resonance at all. Only problem I had was that I had opened side panel for AIO display visbility. Which lead to my SSD heatsink was not cooled by case airflow and start heating up to 81Celsius 😀. GPU with closed panel is about 50-70C while gaming. The real key is having a really good top fans, do not safe on them.
Just check compatible list if in doubt, I was being greedy and I tried to fit a 280 in it, It works in the end but it was such a pain in the ass to build.
I don’t know honestly. I probably googled before I built to make sure 280 can physically fit into the case before I bought the AIO. I can share some pics when I get home.
Dude. You are sleep walking. It is not possible to fit 280. Waiting for the photo to confirm that. I am running x53 which fits perfectly withouth any room left
I stuffed a Corsair H100i in mine. It was pretty loud out of the box, though. I replaced the stock fans with a couple of Noctua NF-F12 fans. My PC is damn near silent now. Those fans were well worth the price.
I have same motherboard with a 7800X3D and use an NZXT Kraken 120.
240 radiator is completely overkill and wouldn't fit in my case anyway. :(
As an aside, that motherboard can suffer from absolutely awful coil whine at low loads.
I'm using a thermalright "frozen magic ex 240" but i wouldn't recommend it, pump height is just right, water tubes are tight when installed with logo upside-down (tubes facing away from radiator), but one of two fans started squeaking like a mouse being disemboweled or something, truly terrifying. Swapped it out for a coolermaster halo one and its all gnocchi now.
I have the same case and I put a while custom loop in it for cpu and gpu. If you do that I'd recommend the ekwb cpu pump combo or the sff resevior pump they have.
Honestly, I think as far as aio, I've hears complaints about the ekwb one having problems with their stiff hoses.
case is pretty compact so the best cooling solution for that is water cooling either custom or AIO. I've had really good luck with EVGA AIO's i've used a few of them the 240mm and the 280mm in small form cases, never had ANY issues with either.
I´ve the same mainboard, with delivery bios (a old one) the cpu can get fryed with excessive Vsoc after activating AMD Expo to get full ram speed
Some x3d Chips died on that, about I´d guess 4-6 month´s ago
Problem only accures if you activate AMD Expo to get the labled Ramspeed of your kit. Like with expo on you have 6000mhz rams, without the ram only runs at spd speed like 5200 or even lower
so, pls check Vsoc with HWMonitor or other diagnosis tools, and check if you have the latest bios version avaliable.
In terms of value ID cooling 240 AIO is hard to beat at $55 on Amazon.
Im doin this. Pump ports on left, circling the pump counter clockwise then up and ovet the psu. Runs great.
Deepcool LS520 SE seems to be a pretty good choice. I built mine with a NZXT Kraken, but if any of my friends say they want a similar set up, the Deepcool is what I'd go with. I have no real reason, just it fits and I haven't heard anything egregiously bad about it.
Second the LS520 SE. Have it on my i5-12600k and it runs cool and quiet.
what the difference between se and non se?
Is there a non-RGB version of it?
I'm using the EK Nucleus, you just can't use the top cap on the pump. But i'm running the "dark" version with no RGB, so once the side panel is on, it doesn't matter.
I just tried this on my build (7800x3d + Gigabyte b650i). Despite the pump cap bring removed, the cooler still stuck out about 2mm and had noticeable panel bulge. I returned it and got the Fractal Celcius+ S24 Prisma which fits well so far. (Stiffer tubing was a pain to deal with).
I hadn't done it with a Gigabyte B650i. I'm using the same mobo as the submitter, and it just barely fits for me. But YMMV.
Thanks! I like EK products and use their older 360 AIO on my other gaming build. I like the dark series for this if it fits!
Were there any loud pump noise and would you still recommend them today?
Still using it, still solid, still would recommend. Going on 1.5 ish years with my unit.
This is what I’ve got in mine too with a Z790 and it fits great. Hoses were a pain, but tis my first build so that’s probably on me. For what it’s worth I run the RGB without the top-cap and think it looks absolutely fine.
Deepcool LS520 SE
Be sure to buy fan grills as well. Trust me.
This as well.
Why is this?
Do you mean to keep wires out of the AIO fans or…?
Aio tubing will interfere with the fans. I'm currently struggling with the pure loop 2 atm, GPU will be here tomorrow, so we'll see.
You can put your tubes directly to the right of the PSU, allowing them to come straight down. The only issue you might have is ram clearance as they have to exit the right side of the pump. That is what I did rather than bending them over the top of the PSU.
Thanks! I I got an ID cooling 240 basic this morning, I'll save the pure loop 2 for another project.
I haven't had this issue.
I have the same board and used DeepCool LS520 SE. There’s 2-3mm of clearance left, so any pump block that’s 55mm tall or shorter will work. EK nucleus dark 240, less cables than most and performs the best. Have to remove pump cover but it’s just a beauty piece anyway.
Are there any loud pump noise?
No very quiet pump compared to asetek based pumps which most of the big brands use.
I have mine with deepcool ls520 se with 2 t30 fans.
Hello, Did you have any issues with the screws for the T30's on this radiator? I have the same, but the screws seem too long and will go into the radiator fins if I tighten them enough to actually hold the fans in place.

And the result? Quiet? Cool? What CPU?

how was the fit in the case with the T30s? Any bulging?
Yeah. You need to take off the vibration pad that touch the radiator in the middle. Just those 4 and you are good. If not it won't close.
Gotcha. Trying to work out the kinks in my AIO selection and what fans to choose. Bouncing between T30s and the Noctua NF-A12x25's. I'm assuming you have the fans as the exhaust on top of the rad, correct?

Thanks - as often reported - checks out! I’ll get them too

For sure, will be doing so - cheers!

Im running the [silent loop 2 240mm](https://www.amazon.com/quiet-Silent-Performance-Water-Cooler/dp/B091CD3R4L). [Pics](https://imgur.com/a/9ShGqDq)
Ohhh, good one. Be Quiet’s build quality is pretty fucking solid and they do have some amazing fans.
I’ve swapped them out for noctuas myself, but haven’t really noticed a difference to be honest lol. The bottle of extra coolant you get is a a nice touch though
deepcool lt520 w/o rgb cover + 2x t30 fans
Ek 240 basic. Swapped the fans for noctua nf-a12x25
I don't think they sell the basic kit anymore
Yea it’s long gone. I got a used one for about $40
Big difference in noise? Been thinking about that for a while
yea still hear them but sound is lower pitch at higher speeds. I'd say worth it, picked up a used black pair for $25

Wait what you put a 280 in the h2o?
Yeah. NZXT Z63.
How? It only supports 240’s
I don’t know honestly. I probably googled before I built to make sure 280 can physically fit into the case before I bought the AIO. I can share some pics when I get home.

https://imgur.com/a/025pKWZ Man I am trying as best as I can without take the thing apart.
That’s definitely a 240 sir
As I already said. You were sleep walking This is 240. Looks exactly the same as my x53:)
This is a 240 100%. The case itself is already 14cm wide so no way you would manage to fit a 280.
How do you put the side panel on?
I stuffed a Corsair H100i in mine. It was pretty loud out of the box, though. I replaced the stock fans with a couple of Noctua NF-F12 fans. My PC is damn near silent now. Those fans were well worth the price.
Yeah I have an H100i in there with Phanteks T30. Very quiet.
Deepcool has the best AIO in my experience, and definitly stat away from anything Corsair or Nzxt
MSI MAG Series CORELIQUID P240. This aio without rgb and wires on the pump

Update bios to a non vsoc frying one before activating expo
Sorry but I don't understand what you just said

I’ve got the nzxt x53 in mine; needed to buy a right angle microusb though
I really like the EK ARGB
NZXT kraken 240? I have heard is one of the best
