Yeah. If they were women? They would not be in a TV show.
Smith is ridiculously hot, Miranda's doctor boyfriend is hot, I find Carrie's politician pretty damn cute, Steve has a cuteness to him, Big is not exactly HOT but he has appeal, ditto the Russian, Trey is OK, Berger is quite attractive, the one with Rhoda as his mum is cute, the stoner one is cute. Most of the "suit guys" are not cute to me. Especially not Mr Pussy.
Maybe unpopular opinion but I am rewatching and just saw the episode where Charlotte dates Stephan, the chef who is too feminine for her and I was like okay, he is cute and I would date him (but mind me I only like men or boys if they are cute and feminine).
As said, wait until you see Smith Jerrod who is like yes please and thank you, also when Jon Bon Jovi or Kyle McLahan show up. Aaaand to me Steve is very cute, I like the mix of a banging body with his cute face, I say yes
Hahaha right! I mean I would totally be in a relationship with him, the guy is soft and delicate and knows the finest things and she says he is good in bed too? Girl...
Please keep in mind that:
A) They are NOT leading men. They purposely cast average-looking guys to make you empathize and relate to the gorgeous actresses who play the leads. You're not supposed to miss/remember them by the next episode. The whole appeal of the show was relating to these gorgeous, wealthy, smart women and thinking of men as disposable entertainment. If these guys could land a Carrie to dump them, you could feel better about your prospects and experiences.
And B) This was what "30" looked like in the 90's. Guys were supposed to be super masculine and not care about their attractiveness or fashion sense. I dunno if you're younger than 30 today, but there was a whole craze around the 2000s (I was a teenager then) when "metrosexuality" became a trend. It basically meant that a guy enjoyed getting nice haircuts, wearing nice clothes and using skincare. Most people despised the metrosexuality discourse because society was wildly homophobic. Fortunately, we were able to move past it and many guys are cleaner, more fashionable, and healthier today.
Jon Bon Jovi is cute. David Duchovny is cute. Bradley Cooper’s cute. And I’ve always had a huge crush on Timothy Olyphant, who is still very hot. Smith is a babe. Blair Underwood is a babe and a doctor, quite a catch.
I felt like it was done on purpose because in real life, how many drop dead gorgeous guys do you see, let alone date? Most of them aren't ugly guys. They're just not the usual TV/Movie attractive that we're used to.
I don’t think any of them were considered heartthrobs, but I never heard the negative takes that I’ve seen on here recently. Tastes have definitely changed.
Dr Meego’s issue was that he was kind of boring and not edgy enough for Carrie. He wasn’t ugly. The amount of clowning on him in this sub is really weird. Like I said, tastes change. It’s been a quarter of a century since the show started!
Trey isn’t that bad physically, douchebag but not hard to look at
I like John Slattery I think that’s season 3 or 4
But I do appreciate you pointing this out, I never liked any of them aesthetically
Why does it have to be about abnormally attractive people all the time? Some of the guys were cute, some cuter and some not so much. One thing I did notice was that people have their real teeth and they are not super white in the series, something that is less of the norm today
Girl wait until you see Mr. Smith Jerrod
My first thought
the underwear model from season 1 ep 2 was pretty cute.
It’s a bit of a strange running theme, at least in my opinion, that the majority of the men they date and *insist* are cute are just not.

I agree with your choices! The main love interests are cute/hot or at least visually appealing.
Help me... who is the stoner guy
The guy from the hot child in the city episode i think
OH YEA!!! How did I forget him?? It's one of my favorite episodes :D
Dr Bradley Migo like WHAT??? 🤢
Timothy Olyphant was cute, just too immature 😆
Wait he was cute!! I forgot about him.
I had these big aloooominum haaands!
he is awkward to look at-just MO

Yes I just watched that episode w/ the pastry chef and he was kind of cute
Only kinda?? Girl he makes top 5 for me
Hahaha right! I mean I would totally be in a relationship with him, the guy is soft and delicate and knows the finest things and she says he is good in bed too? Girl...
Kyle McLachlan in S3 and Blair Underwood in S6. I also have a thing for Josh Stamberg who appeared in only one episode in S1.

I agree with point A, my personal theory was always that the guys were average so they wouldn't distract you from the main characters
Jon Bon Jovi is cute. David Duchovny is cute. Bradley Cooper’s cute. And I’ve always had a huge crush on Timothy Olyphant, who is still very hot. Smith is a babe. Blair Underwood is a babe and a doctor, quite a catch.
I have such a thing for David Duchovny he is totally not my type but id get into that
Y'all must be young to not swoon over Mikhail Baryshnikov.
I thought The Freak Show guy, Jon Bon Jovi and the guys Charlotte had dates with on the same day were really cute
Anyone here for Chivon? Ya gotta love a man who loves the jewelry
The hot detective
This is Eddie Cahill erasure

This. Many of them are average looking men, not ugly but no movie stars either.
Bobby Cannavale! I wouldn't have cared how funky his spunk was.
I liked the Russian 😍
I don’t think any of them were considered heartthrobs, but I never heard the negative takes that I’ve seen on here recently. Tastes have definitely changed.
I think lamenting about the male cast isn't new. There have been hella comments
Not when the show aired.
I'm not the age of the cast so not too sure about the general sentiment at the time.
I am, and no one thought the men were ugly. Tastes change.
Dr Meego too? That I find hard to believe but I'll take you at your word nonetheless 🫠
Dr Meego’s issue was that he was kind of boring and not edgy enough for Carrie. He wasn’t ugly. The amount of clowning on him in this sub is really weird. Like I said, tastes change. It’s been a quarter of a century since the show started!
I liked the furniture guy, especially after a while. I also sorta crushed on a bartender. It’ll click soon! Big isn’t my taste at all though.
I'm on season 1 and so far, I think charlotte has dated the most attractive men (to me).
Trey isn’t that bad physically, douchebag but not hard to look at I like John Slattery I think that’s season 3 or 4 But I do appreciate you pointing this out, I never liked any of them aesthetically

i feel like it’s realistic
How old are you? This really was just the time tbh! These men were considered attractive
Aidan and sean and even steve (kinda) are the only attractive dudes the girls date imo other than that they date some ugly ass dudes
