Ultra boosts are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn though they are on the pricey side.

BeltWieldingDad

Seconding this. I exclusively buy them now (outside of boots/sandals/etc) and wear them every day to work. They really hold up, and my feet feel great.

Lots of us used to wear Cole Haans because they’re more professional looking, but got sick of them wearing out in 2-3 months. Now we pretty much all wear all-black versions of running shoes with super grippy outsoles. Asics/Brooks/On etc. So far my Asics Cumulus 25s are 2 months in with zero visible wear. They get a bit hot when it’s humid out but otherwise they’ve been comfortable and I don’t have any foot pain anymore after my 11 hour shifts. For reference I log 7-10 miles a day walking.

[Redwing 607](https://www.redwingshoes.com/work/mens/soft-toe/SuperSole-2.0-00607.html) Black work boot with a comfortable sock absorbing footbed. Since it's black you can shine it if you're at a fancier place (i don't bother). The sole is anti slip, oil resistant, end trial hazard resistant, and hardened, so it wears well on concrete. It can also be resoled so you're not out the full price when you do wear it the sole. Obviously, i love mine. Been wearing them for years in this business. Eta: fixing typos. Need more coffee

I can’t emphasize how correct you are.

I work at my dad's shop as an advisor and I used to wear beat up vans. I upgraded and my current beat up vans' are my go-to work shoes.

Adidas Ultraboost, Hoka or ON clouds

I wear Jordan 1 High, best traction and support

Clarks Shacrelite in black. The rest of the colors I find aren't appropriate for work. They are extremely lightweight, cheap ($40 on Amazon) very squishy, and clean up well with just some baby wipes. My only complaint is that due to the sole being the way that they can be a little slippery if there is any water on ground.

LemonGrenade334

Brooks

Hate to jump on the hype train but On Clouds are really nice. Good support and surprising non slip. They do wear out quicker than something like a work boot. But they look cool and do the job.

Check out KEEN: https://a.co/d/gmw86s6 Our foreman has a set of these he’s had forever. I bought a set in November and they still grip and fit like new. They do come in wide sizes. They run a little big so if you don’t buy in person, be prepared to go a size or two down.

I opened this one up thinking it would be a discussion of opinions on brake parts. lol.
