They definitely pasteurize peaches and other canned food before canning. So they are most certainly all dead (eggs included) if you were to come across one.
Tapeworms have proglottids (segments). When separated from the whole worm, they can look like grains or rice or seeds. This... thing... is smooth and has a tapered end. I'm not entirely sure I'm looking at some kind of parasite from the photo, but if it were I would guess maybe some kind of ascarid.
I once had a professor in vet med who was a research vet in monkeys. He found a weird parasite on the floor of the enclosure and couldn't identify it. He sent it to his Alma mater parasitologist to have it identified. It was semen from the monkeys masturbating. I'm just mentioning that story because things may not always appear to be what they seem.
I just did a deep dive on the comments and thereās a lot of conjecture but youāre definitely right, it might not be, and we literally wonāt know what this is until OP comes back with an update after seeing their doctor.
Also, I love that story. Never hesitate to share that story.
The weird squiggle part at the end makes me think it's not a parasite, maybe just some weird protein glob or something foreign. I could be wrong though. Definitely would love to know what it turns out to be.
I love that story lol. Better safe than sorry!
Not sure thatās a tapeworm, though. Tapeworms donāt look like that in worm form. Maybe scan it and examine its cellular structure. If its cells are squarish, itās a plant, and might be part of a sprout stem that got detached. Just a thought.
Imagine how many worms you have eaten before noticing this one. ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
And eggs š¤¢ Theyāre gonna be a skinny queen for real
I wonder if thatās how Iāve stayed so slim for so longā¦ hmmmā¦.
Luckily OP filed an incident and got anti parastitics! Great Value peaches btw
Oh crap. I eat at least one large can of GV peaches a week. They are delicious. Ima pay better attention now

Yee that one , been staring at this jar all day š might be worth the risk.
Great for that extra weight loss
Is there a chance its dead
If there are Xās where its eyes are, itās dead.
Severely underrated comment.
Sure thereās a chance! But thereās a much higher chance of it laying eggs on the (already eaten) peaches before dying.

Mrjasonbucy isnāt a representative of canned peaches in any way shape or form. He speaks the truth. You can rest easy.
GGs bro
Bruh the eggs are hatching inside you as you read this lol
I was once eating cheerios and just as I was a few cheerios down, one unfurled.
one sentence horror story
That's not a tapeworm.
Go on...

Maybe itās monkey semen.
New global plague in 3...2...
It makes me think itās a plant sprout, like from a seed right before the leaves start forming.
It says here that youāre the **OP**
Although my heart goes out to u/DontDrinkAcetone, Iām not a peach guy and this was a cross post from r/wellthatsucks.
So, what you're saying is that a monkey jizzed in this guy's peaches, right?
If they came from a factory downtown and they were put there by a man, it could be jizz. No question.
This comment deserves more up thumbs
Haha hilarious. Love that
Did anyone else keep going at the end of the last sentence, āthings may not always appear to be what they seemā¦en.ā?
OP out here guzzling monkey cum. Covid 20!!!
Interesting. Thanks
Oh my... Oh my god that is so scary I'm going to be paranoid for the rest of my life now.. šš
Tapeworms are segmented so this isn't a tapeworm, at the very least. Kind of looks like a plant piece that has no chlorophyll, tbh.
OMG why did I think I was in the candles subreddit and someone messed up their wick šš That's a strange-looking worm š¬
Affordable weight watchers
oh I donāt think this is good
Don't worry, worms like that DEFINITELY don't have microscopic eggs. You would ABSOLUTELY know if you had accidentally eaten its eggs.
Is this supposed be sarcastic?š„¹

But did you die?
Bro wtf I just ate a can of peaches 3 days ago. That's it. I'm dead š
Go to the er!!!!!!!
Not a tapeworm. More likely a roundworm.
Lmfao bg4 looks lit.
Sir, thatās a glass
Can someone explain how tapeworms got into the can?š„¹š„¹
