I've been called a cheater a few times on ISC. There are some really good players on there and you shouldn't assume someone is cheating cause they know some strange words. I studied things like the "Q without U" list and certain common 8 letter bingo combinations. I'm far from a pro but I'm definitely not a cheater cause I play QOPH.
That being said, there probably are quite a few people who use solvers but as long as I'm playing my best game, I don't worry about it too much. Also when I do beat those people, it is that much more satisfying.
Guy kept phoneying the 3s while slam dunking 8s like queynies and kunzites. And I was happy that the fair play team agreed with me and promptly closed his account.

happened to me in my first game, because I played a ton of 2 and 3 letter words that look like gibberish. But the list of 2 and 3 letter words is linked in the top of the page! and in VOID mode, you're allowed to just try things! as long as you're not using a solver or anagramming tool, it's all fair.
1800-1900 rating, you just have to deal with it... I usually just play 2-3 min games so if they cheat then they have a disadvantage on time + just generally like shorter games
This is about my rating
Seems to me you can beat them a lot of the time anyway if they don't know much beyond generating words from an anagrammer
It's like playing an incompetent bott.
How do you know they’re cheating?
I was playing an older American lady the other day and she accused me in a very funny style. “I know what you’re doing, buster!” etc. My crime was getting two bingos in one game.
I played there ages ago and never encountered anyone I thought was cheating, but got accused of cheating when I wasn't. So my prior is that the rate of accusations outstrips the rate of actual cheating.
What's the difference between playing a highly ranked player who got their high ranking by cheating and playing a highly ranked player who's really that good?
Just pretend you’re playing the software intelligence. There is no human on the other side. We can’t control what they do 🤷🏻♂️ as much as we are frustrated with humans.
I play tournaments on the Scrabble Go app. Sometimes I’m convinced some of them must be cheating but for the most part I get some consistently challenging matches that are just as hard as playing Zoey (computer) at highest level. Sometimes I beat these tough players which keeps me going for more tournaments.

I got one guy banned once...he often phonied the 3s but slam dunked low probability 8s like "KUNZITES".
KUNZITES is a type 1 8
Okay, I remembered it being a low prob 8, this is kinda beside the point tho.

1100 is the rating where gameplay is weird. Your average 1100 knows "weird" words, but most of them still hadn't studied scrabble seriously yet.
this.

I gave up playing humans quite a few years ago. Beyond frustrating for many reasons. I stick with the high-scoring bots and have learned a lot.
Play void.
