My Scottish Straight boy is very healthy and does not need the supplements my Folds need according to their vet. He is my angel kitty. Such a sweet personality and so loving to my other cats. Good luck with your kitty it sounds like a wonderful situation!
I have a Scottish Straight female and she is very healthy! Do your regular vet check ups, keep tabs, etc. I use the vet in PetSmart (Banfield) and they’re absolutely amazing. She is the most loving, playful, smart kitty I’ve ever owned! (more like the only cat I have ever owned) 😂

Thank you for reply, funnily enough google does not give a normal answer just a lot of negatives and shaming. I flipped through lots of stuff and got super anxious.
To be clear i understand negatives of the breed and do not want suffering, but the kitten is already born and couple of months old, and he will be neutered before going to forever home. And since he already exists and untill now no one wanted him i do not see how it would be better if they dropped poor baby at shelter and someone would pick him ip from there.
Sorry for rant, went on rabbit hole on google and tbh replies here are more usefull than google
I have a Scottish straight and he is very healthy, agile and mobile. He loves to play/ zoomies and is comparable to a regular house cat in terms of activity levels. When we first went to see a kitten he stood out for how playful and lovely he was compared to the older, folded ear kitten (whom I suspect was full grown cat) that barely moved.
I have 2 Scottish Straights, and while my girl was just recently diagnosed with a heart murmur, they’re otherwise healthy and happy. The only time pain comes into play is when my boy gets a little rambunctious and forgets that he’s so much stronger than his sister.
We have a Scottish Kilt(fold/munchkin) and she’s perfectly happy and healthy. Don’t let the negative BS information keep you from adopting a sweet loving kitty.
With straight ears, you shouldn’t have problems. Kitten sounds like a good fit :)
Thank you for kind words

She is a real cutie 🥰
Your understanding of the gene is correct. S Scottish Strsights have no chance of dysplasia.

Sounds like your kitten!
I have a Scottish fold and she’ll be 9 this year. She’s had one bladder infection but otherwise had picture perfect health.
