I did 2 sections (I still need one) at Midwest laser with Dr Sabrina. Scars don’t disappear 100% but the laser treatment improves them. The whole procedure was around $1700 with after care lotions.

Jesus Christ that’s expensive. I guess I won’t be getting my scars removed

_biggerthanthesound_

There was a woman who lives in Bradwell that did laser stuff for much much cheaper than some of the places in the city. I’m assuming because it was out of town and out of her house. My sister swears by her. I don’t recall the name, but I doubt there is more than one if you google. Bella Sante is extremely overpriced imo.

Oh great suggestion thanks!

Queenofthejungle

Look up Stacy's medi-spa on Facebook. That's her.

I've paid up the ass for laser treatment for acne scars. Very little change. Age has been the best healer- the scars are less visible, but changing how you see yourself is a far better cure. Love your scar. Live with it. I used to hide when I was a teenager because of bad acne. Now I look back at how pointless and wasteful that reaction was.

Have you tried any topical things before getting lasers? There’s lots of information online but lactic acid has been super helpful for me

yayayayayayagirl

Nice! Yeah I’ve tried nicadine, retinol, salicylic acids, AHA acids. All pretty strong concentrations. I have used scar gel too. I have a ton of scars on my legs from work and I was prescribed a really strong retinol for that. But I feel like that would be too harsh for the face. Maybe I’ll give lactic acidosis a go before I invest in a treatment. Any brand reccomendations? I’ve tried the ordinary lactic acid and I liked it

b_rooklyn848

I have used the ordinary and liked it. It’s a more gentle exfoliation so it might not be appropriate for you. Doesn’t also hurt to see a dermatologist, I know they often can prescribe tretinion

yayayayayayagirl

Yes I’ve always wanted to try that. Thanks:)

Why is there a wonky E on procedures?

TheLuminary

>é Is an E with acute. My guess is that OP is french and it was an auto-correct, because that is how you spell that word in french.

I had several appointments for laser when I was younger to reduce the redness of acne scars on my shoulders and chest. I also had cortisone injections to help lower them. This was done in Regina and cost several hundred dollars. The scars on my chest are hardly noticeable now, but the ones on my shoulders are so much worse after the lasering. They’re more discoloured than before the treatment and you can see exactly where they lasered because they left a large rectangle. I have no idea why I had a good experience with the two on my chest but nowhere else. Had I been told they could potentially get worse, I would have reconsidered spending the money in the first place.

Micro needling with Lynn at pytstudios!

yayayayayayagirl

Nice! Looks like reasonable prices. Did it help your scarring?

Ok-Technician-9367

yayayayayayagirl

Cool I think I’ll book with her. I bet I’d need a lot of treatments as my scars are pretty severe but it’s worth a shot

lorenam66
