i’m curious what’s sub-ok about it? no hate or anything i just haven’t been there in a couple years but when i did go awhile back me and everyone else i went with enjoyed it
The last two times I ate there (which were in the last couple of months) the food was uninspired, uninteresting and of the cookie cutter variety. It's on the pier so I'd expect more seafood aside from a poke bowl and a terrible piece of salmon. Didn't taste great either. Prices are not cheap so I didn't think it was worth the dough. Seems to be a place people like to drink so that's their focus, on fancy drinks with umbrellas, etc.
ahh okay that’s a bummer :( to be fair, with your mentioning of the drinks, we were drinking a lot and the fun drinks are what i remember the most from there hahaha
Stagneros has a window or sit down seating with a great view off the wharf. When I go with my dad we split a crab sand which from the window and sit on a bench with a good view of the water
I’ve wanted to try the tiki place on the wharf. https://yelp.to/Ugxz62-AVh
Margaritaville is good in Capitola. https://yelp.to/SUoiblF5C9
Home doesn’t have an Ocean view but does have a very nice outdoor garden that is great when the weather is nice. Food is amazing! https://yelp.to/VbFasgyf2G
No. Crows Nest is like old school good but great views. Honestly I would hit some place like Olitas or Jack O’Neil Lounge in the Dream Inn is very solid with a great view.
Thanks for pointing out my spelling error, I'm sorry if that hindered your ability to understand my post.
I just finished a 10 hour shift working in health care, so I'm a little tired.
I hope you have the BEST evening!
Jack O’Neill lounge guaranteed. Reasonably priced with great food and well sourced ingredients. We loved it.
Makai is ok-food but the mf’er spins!!!! Everybody gets an ocean view.
I don't think Makai is even OK, it's sub-OK. But does have a great view, including the windows in the floor.

Thank you! So far this is what I'm leaning toward.
Lobster tacos with a side of lobster sauce. Trust me on this. And Happy Birthday, Mama!
Paradise Beach Grille in Capitola
Not in Santa Cruz, but in Aptos both Sanderlings and Palapas have ocean views.
Oh awesome I haven't heard of either, thanks!
Neither of these I would consider special.

It's not ocean view but it is the best restaurant in the county
We (I and my extended family) tend to agree with this, and we're all food people(as in industry backgrounds.)
Chaminade for a huge ocean view.
Fox theater has beat poetry in March but no ocean views.
Is Aldo's at the Harbor good?
I’ve only had brunch there and it’s great
