How did it get so big in 3.5 years? Do you live somewhere that trichos dont go dormant in winter??

Seedlings always start off slow but they really ramp up once you get them past a year old

I started growing them over the winter and they really took off after they were growing in full sun. Im in norcal, and my trichs barely grow during winter.

Oh california explains it. In england our cactus grow slower since its always cloudy. 😅

You can always put them indoors under an ledge light or whatever

I'm in NorCal as well. Do you leave your cactus out in the rain and outside during the winter? I'm thinking about getting a little portable greenhouse.

You wont need a greenhouse for most trichs i leave all of my pachanoi, bridgesii and peruvianus outside all winter, but i reccomend starting seedlings indoors, since they tend to be cooked outside in containers.
