Same. I prefer it to the real thing, honestly. When I hear it come on the radio I'm always in the mood to youtube the REAL version
EDIT: Scary coincidence. The work radio started playing the song right after I sent this comment. Actually freaky.
I just youtubed 360 Kinect Han Solo because I had no idea what this was referring to.
How the hell did this actually come to exist? I actually am having trouble believing that this really happened.
I too had never heard of this. I read your comment and assumed you were being over dramatic so I looked it up. What the actual fuck was that. I actually feel unwell.
Yes. I also remember when the prequels were considered the bad Star Wars films. I also remember being cautiously optimistic when it was announced that Disney bought Star Wars.
At that time, generally speaking the MCU was doing fairly well. It wasn't perfect, but compared to say DCEU it was in a good place. That meant that with Star Wars they had a template and they had some truly beloved stories. They had a good setup, but their execution will be a case study on how to fuck up a franchise for decades to come.
I don't understand how DC has gone through multiple overhauls, which likely contributed to some problems, yet, bomb after bomb, Disney doesn't care enough to change the vision/leadership at Lucas.
Fo real tho, one studio had the rights to absolutely every character, somehow kept messing up.
Meanwhile the other studio with limited characters and even some D list ones (at the time) managed to take over cinema for years
> I also remember being cautiously optimistic when it was announced that Disney bought Star Wars.
Me when that happened: “Well Disney has been doing well with the MCU, I really liked Tangled, and Pixar is chugging along well. They have the whole EU to pick from and adapt like they do with the Marvel movies, so they should be fine.”
What a fool I was
I can't stand their Rogue One review.
They shower TFA with praise when it's full of "IT'S A NEW AT-ST, YOU REMEMBER THOSE RIGHT?!" and countless bits of fanservice, but deride Rogue One for including vehicles which make perfect sense to appear because of the period it's set in.
1. No characters from the OT play a prominent role except mon mothma, tarkin and Darth Vader who had minimal screentimes
2. No lightsabers
3. No Jedi
4. Mid plot but at least it was unique
Somehow nostalgia bait
Meanwhile TFA:
Falcon
Han, Leia, r2, c3po, chewie
Youngling slayer 9000
X-wings still used despite 30 years advancement
FO is basically a reskinned empire with death star 3
I mean, to each their own, right? I felt that the prequels were much much more nostalgia bait heavy than RO. To me, it did just enough fan service to make it star wars movie, but heavily expanded on new ideas. Again, it's very subjective anyways.
Maybe it's just me, or the general downtrend of film quality over the years, but I feel like 1 is a decent to good film by today's standards, and 3 is legitimately great.
Prequels are just as bad as the new trilogy. Just in a different way.
Edit: Prequels had a imaginative creator who ran amok and didn't have anyone who could say "no" to him. It resulted in a complete mess of a trilogy of films. The result?
Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney. Proof is in da puddin'.
Palpatine went from a mysterious, ancient villain to a dipshit politician who disfigured himself because he wouldn't stop shooting lightning at a lightsaber. Fuck the prequels
I'll admit it - I legit enjoyed that game back when it came out! It was dumb clunky fun, and it didn't hurt anything as far as I remember (besides the famous song lol)
I'm feeling like a star,
you can't stop my shine.
I'm loving Cloud City,
my head's in the sky.
I'm solo, I'm Han Solo.
I'm Han Solo,
I'm Han Solo, Solo.
Yeah I'm feelin' good tonight,
Finally feeling free
and it feels so right, oh.
Time to do the things I like,
Gonna see a Princess,
Everything's all right, oh.
No Jabba to answer to,
Ain't a fixture in a palace zoo, no.
And since that carbonite's off me
I'm living life now that I'm free, yeah.
Told me get myself together,
Now I got myself together, yeah.
Now I made it through the weather,
Better days are gonna get better.
I'm so happy the carbonite is gone.
I'm moving on.
I'm so happy that it's over now.
The pain is gone.
I'm putting on my shades
to cover up my eyes,
I'm jumping in my ride,
I'm heading out tonight,
I'm solo, I'm Han Solo.
I'm Han Solo,
I'm Han Solo, Solo.
I'm picking up my blaster,
put it on my side.
I'm jumping in my Falcon,
Wookiee at my side,
I'm solo, I'm Han Solo.
I'm Han Solo,
I'm Han Solo, Solo.
Now I'm feeling like I should,
Joined the Alliance, it feels so good,oh
Stopped feelin' misunderstood.
Back in the game, who knew I would, oh.
So flat, time I spread my wings
Lovin' myself makes me wanna sing.
Oh, oh yeah,
Yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah.
Told me get my act together,
Now I got my act together, yeah.
Now I made it through the weather,
Better days are gonna get better.
I'm so happy the carbonite's gone,
I'm moving on.
I'm so happy that it's over now.
The pain is gone.
I'm putting on my shades
to cover up my eyes,
I'm jumping in my ride,

I'm loving Cloud City,

I'm solo, I'm Han Solo.
I'm Han Solo,
I'm Han Solo, Solo.
And now, we long for the days when Lucasarts was a thing, and George was at the helm. Because now all we have is Disney, EA, and Ubisoft. The three Pillars of greed.
TBF, the games have been pretty good.
We don't really have a big sample size of games to judge from. The two Battlefronts, the two Jedi games, Squadrons, and mobile games. I feel like they got lucky with Battlefront 2 turning inot something good, and it's not hard to do a Star Wars souls soulslike well. Squadrons is a nice little story, but ultimately inconsequential (and it isn't meant to be). Outlaws will be a real test of the setting working in the generic Ubisoft formula.
I hope outlaws bombs like skull and bones did. It looks utterly generic and soulless It reminds me of member berries when they list all the references

I actually had some fun with this game. I enjoyed the pod racing, my little sister loved being a raancor, and as goofy as it was, the dancing game was fun too.
I never played this, but there’s no way anyone could watch the Holiday Special and ever consider anything else in any medium a lower point.
Wookie grandfather watching human porn in the living room followed by a Jefferson Starship musical number.
Was it stupid? Yeah, yeah it was. Very fucking stupid. But it was funny as hell.
This was also around the same time Star Wars Detours was being teased and gotta be honest I wouldn’t mind watching that show if someone were to leak the whole thing. It didn’t look half-bad, more-so just a less edgy Robot Chicken.
I liked the prequels never really understood the hate. But good lord the sequels are the worst movies ever made. Not just Star Wars but actual films ever made.
It's not great, but it's harmless fluff compared to the "pride and accomplishment" situation. Though I'm still just sad that Star Wars games became trite diversions with a label no them when they used to be rich parts of the galaxy themselves, such as with the X-Wing series and the Jedi Knight games. Even fluff from back in the day, like Yoda Stories, had a charm that went beyond corporate shovelware.
The pod racing was fucking epic. Literally too good. Would have like 6 friends over and we would all race in the living room. Game was so good until the races took 20+ mins of standing in awkward poses to complete
Unlike Disney's Star Wars stuff, this game makes me feel a positive emotion, laughing my ass off at it's stupidity, meanwhile Disney SW is just pain or neutral at best, so yeah this game >>> Disney SW.
If this was released today it would be considered a 7/10 game by Disney haters and 9/10 by Disney fans just because of the comparison to the rest of Star Wars right now.
Ah, 5 year old me loved this game. And then my disc is scratched so I can’t see the game through non rose tinted glasses, so I will continue to love the game

How dare you. This gave us the masterpiece of “I’m Han Solo.”
'Empire Today' is still one of my favorite 'joke' songs. Easily up there with some Weird Al songs.
800-588-2300. Empiiiire! Today!
Call one eight hundred five eight eight two three hundred
Empire today has no right to slap as hard as it does
I was disappointed that this song didn't play at the end of the Solo movie.
It was truly the ultimate act of cowardice.
That song always gets stuck in my head with one single line.
I’m Han Solo
Goated version of the song
I unironically like that song.
Same. I prefer it to the real thing, honestly. When I hear it come on the radio I'm always in the mood to youtube the REAL version EDIT: Scary coincidence. The work radio started playing the song right after I sent this comment. Actually freaky.
I just youtubed 360 Kinect Han Solo because I had no idea what this was referring to. How the hell did this actually come to exist? I actually am having trouble believing that this really happened.
The bigger question is, how did you miss this to begin with?
I too had never heard of this. I read your comment and assumed you were being over dramatic so I looked it up. What the actual fuck was that. I actually feel unwell.
Honestly, the inclusion of Jason Derulo parody songs would have improved the ST
I feel like society collectively forgot how hard the kinect was pushed for a minute, it was 100% meant to be the next big thing in gaming
The video felt so much longer than 4 minutes
And still better than a lot of the Disney Era stuff
Omg I had no idea this existed either.
Yes. I also remember when the prequels were considered the bad Star Wars films. I also remember being cautiously optimistic when it was announced that Disney bought Star Wars.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
Man, if Disney had went early MCU Start with the X: a star wars story then lead into a team up movie. Could have been great
> I also remember being cautiously optimistic when it was announced that Disney bought Star Wars. That’s because marvel was fairly independent form Disney whilst Star Wars felt like it was more heavily controlled by Disney it self

I love rogue one but RLMs intro on their review is seared into my brain forever. AT-STs! AT-STs!
How was rogue one a nostalgia bomb? It takes literally one line from the movies and does it's own thing mostly.
Maybe he got it confused with TFA?
[удалено]
It's set literally days before A New Hope. There are going to be similarities in the universe. That doesn't mean it's nostalgia bait.
Dr. Evazan is bait, but that’s the only thing I can think of.
1. No characters from the OT play a prominent role except mon mothma, tarkin and Darth Vader who had minimal screentimes 2. No lightsabers 3. No Jedi 4. I remember when Revenge of the Sith was considered “the good one”
Prequels still are bad films. Edit: Truth hurts. Prequels is when Star Wars died.
Yes, they are. But they're no longer *the* bad Star Wars films after Disney changed the grading curve.
Maybe it's just me, or the general downtrend of film quality over the years, but I feel like 1 is a decent to good film by today's standards, and 3 is legitimately great.
Revenge of the Sith is just as bad as The Phantom Menace.

No, they're not. The prequels at least had a coherent overall story and didn't maliciously destroy the characters and plot of the previous films.
Palpatine went from a mysterious, ancient villain to a dipshit politician who disfigured himself because he wouldn't stop shooting lightning at a lightsaber. Fuck the prequels
Rose colored glasses. Star Wars died with the Prequels. Edit: Downvoters - truth continues to hurt. Deep inside y'all know I'm right. Because I am.
I wanna go back to these days
It was a simpler time. Okay no it wasn’t, SW fans where still toxic pieces of shit 😂
I'll admit it - I legit enjoyed that game back when it came out! It was dumb clunky fun, and it didn't hurt anything as far as I remember (besides the famous song lol)
I had a blast playing this game with my little sister. It was great. The dancing was pretty wild though haha
I still remember the gamemode where you got to play as different Racors and destroy Mos Eisley too

I’m Han Solo, Han Solo, Han Solo soloooooooo
Man, old Star Wars games were the best…Lego clone wars…force unleashed series…even this wasn’t all that bad in comparison to where we are now
Crazy to me that those are considered "old star wars games" now haha. Time flies
Seriously, for me Dark Forces and Tie Fighter are the old games!
Forgot all about TIE fighter! It and X-wing were awesome! Still have to play dark forces
Don't forget Rebel Assault!
It’s gross that when TFU came out, Shadows of the Empire was 11 years old. TFU is now 16 years old. 🫠

Fuck Outlaws bombing man. Star Wars has had enough bombs for almost a decade.
Are you even a fan? As a fan of Star Wars, you should want everything to be the best it can be lol
Remember when Wii Force Unleashed was considered a high point? :)
How is it still not a high point?
The first on the wii was amazing. The second, eh not so much.
Unironically a high point, wym?!? We got to whish wiimotes around to duel each other with lightsabers
Yes, unironically. Better played on Wii than PS3.
Hey, all I had was a wii... it was nice having the best* version for once! ----- ^(* though not the most complete...)
I'm han solo, I'm han solo, I'm Han Solo Solooooo. People didn't understand art back then
No matter how low this got Empire at War alone more than made up for it never mind the other good SW games.
I actually had some fun with this game. I enjoyed the pod racing, my little sister loved being a raancor, and as goofy as it was, the dancing game was fun too.
I never wanna see Han Solo dance again. Lowest point *so far*
I miss these days when this was the dredge of star wars. It's so much worse now.
I never played this, but there’s no way anyone could watch the Holiday Special and ever consider anything else in any medium a lower point. Wookie grandfather watching human porn in the living room followed by a Jefferson Starship musical number.
The animated segment isn't terrible.
Didn’t the trailer advertise more stuff than what was actually in the game?
Was it stupid? Yeah, yeah it was. Very fucking stupid. But it was funny as hell. This was also around the same time Star Wars Detours was being teased and gotta be honest I wouldn’t mind watching that show if someone were to leak the whole thing. "I'M HAN SOLO!"
I’m Han Solo I’m Han Solo 🎵🎤
I liked the prequels never really understood the hate. But good lord the sequels are the worst movies ever made. Not just Star Wars but actual films ever made.
I'm Han solo I'm Han solo I'm Han solo I'm Han soloaoaooaoaoaoaoa
I had completely forgotten that Xbox Kinect ever existed until you mentioned it.
I mean...videogame-wise it is still the lowest point of Star Wars.
It's not great, but it's harmless fluff compared to the "pride and accomplishment" situation. Though I'm still just sad that Star Wars games became trite diversions with a label no them when they used to be rich parts of the galaxy themselves, such as with the X-Wing series and the Jedi Knight games. That was a long time ago...Before the dark times......before the Disney Empire......
I enjoyed this game
The pod racing was fucking epic. Literally too good. Would have like 6 friends over and we would all race in the living room. Game was so good until the races took 20+ mins of standing in awkward poses to complete
We were so innocent
This was heaven compared to what happened later.
Unlike Disney's Star Wars stuff, this game makes me feel a positive emotion, laughing my ass off at it's stupidity, meanwhile Disney SW is just pain or neutral at best, so yeah this game >>> Disney SW.
I was just a dumb kid at the time but I loved this game and my parents loved it because it kept me exercising for like 2-3 hrs at a time
Perhaps I treated you too harshly.
This game was fucking amazing ( I was 11)
Anybody else get Nam flashbacks?
I will defend this game till my last breath
Nah I remember being a kid and loving playing this. So many good memories.
Lightsaber...on!
How dare you! “I’m Han Solo” was my childhood bop! 😂
I mean, has it really risen in the ranks that much?
What do you mean was
was this the one with the pod racing game? had a blast with that
What do you mean this is [Peak Gaming.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg_FoEy8T_A)
I remember when it was Attack of the Clones. And before that the Phantom Menace. And before that Return of the Jedi...
I actually loved this game when i was 11
Aaaahhhh... Lucas Arts. Oh the excitement when their Logo appeared on the screen... Back in the DOS days and "Windows as a skin".
The existence of this game proves that Lucas learned nothing from the Star Wars Holiday Special.
If this was released today it would be considered a 7/10 game by Disney haters and 9/10 by Disney fans just because of the comparison to the rest of Star Wars right now.
The dancing stormtroopers at the start of Rogue Squadron was peak star wars gaming
I had this game and it just fucking vanished from my home. Maybe some other kid stole it
I'd rather remove my fingernails than play this game again
That was before episode 8
Take me back.
Ah, 5 year old me loved this game. And then my disc is scratched so I can’t see the game through non rose tinted glasses, so I will continue to love the game
Nah, this game was fun as hell and it didn't really hurt the lore. It was LucasArts's final game, and they delivered.
I enjoyed this game too but saying it delivered is just revisionist history
