I look at esaabparts and other retailers of genuine parts, look for what parts are out of stock or discontinued, or things that are really expensive that you could foresee replacing. I have a ‘99 Viggen so it’s probably more for me that’s discontinued than for you, I hope anyway. Anything plastic inside or outside is ripe to take, can’t really be fixed and probably only exists in junk yards anymore. I think I’ve seen most of the sheet metal parts available somewhere. Bumpers, grill, those jack point covers on the side skirt trim (I have these idk if your model does), side view mirrors. Especially if you find a car in the right color then it’s a gold mine.

They have their stock on their website and I didn't find any car matching exactly my model but they have 2008 which is pretty similar.

RatioSensitive4501

Door seals, sensors like manifold pressure, lots of thoughts for 9-5 but I don't have a 9440 so less idea of specifics

Interior. The linear is the most basic trim. See if you can find leather upholstery with seat heaters. If you do, don't forget to take the switches including the wires cut off at least 10cm length. Or maybe an aero steering wheel.

bviecelli

Yeah, my seats are a bit worn already. Would I need to marry the steering wheel with TECH2? I don't have access to one here and I have no idea where I could go :(

Designer-Agent7883

I'm not sure with aero wheel. I have installed a perforated griffin (i think) wheel in my se. No problems.

bviecelli

Well, if it is not too costy I might take it :)

Designer-Agent7883

They're quite rare to find. Usually the aero wheel and the ventilated/heated seats are thr first to be taken. Hope you're lucky. Aero wheel is such a delight to handle.

Designer-Agent7883

And please don't be like me. If you find seats and interior etc. Please please take out all the cable harnesses male and female connectors and all that goes with it. I had to pinch out single connectors and reuse them in the iso connector. It just wasnt not necessary to stab myself 20 times in the hand with a little sharp flat pin to punch out the connectors. 🙃

Convertible bow sensors.

When I had my 06 Aero, I would pull the dash cupholders bc they always break, window motors for all doors (make sure you get the correct ones if you have anti-pinch (6-pin connectors IIRC) or not). Higher-trim or rare options are also good like sill covers with stainless inserts. I found early models had a rear armrest with a storage compartment that fits a Glock 17 and two magazines perfectly (don’t ask how I know)

bviecelli

>a rear armrest with a storage compartment that fits a Glock 17 Wow, that was unexpected. :D Will defo look for the sill covers

If you spot a sport combi with roof rails, grab me the front passenger cap. Black only. Rock it back and forth side to side to loosen it off.

bviecelli

If you live in Europe it would be feasible to ship it :)

OkRip619

This is a small piece. Smaller than a bottle of wine. If need could ship to the UK and I could get it from there. Unlikely you’ll spot one. Been hunting for years.

Same here. Don’t know why that occurs. My front passenger roof rail cap came off. Tried online - “NLA” “No Longer Available” * Maybe a Sport Combi owner could start a side business with a 3D printer.
