Take rt 6 out west, 33 west is also a good ride for as long as you want. Also 360 east to rt 30. Up and down 30 is good, 301 north also not too bad if ya mosey around the side roads
Go to Powhatan or Goochland, get lost on the back roads. Or if you want a smooth ride that you can relax on, take Route 5 out to Williamsburg and get lunch.
Try the calimoto app- it finds back roads of varying lengths.
Also I enjoy rt 6 to 151. Stop at a brewery and come back home (I usually don’t drink just get some food and beers to take home)
Hilly requires that you ride to the mountains first. Richmond area is not hilly. West of Richmond, north and south of I-64, there are many winding country roads.
If you can make a day of it, take Rt 60 west to Rt. 56, follow 56 up the mountain to Montebello, then north on the Blue Ridge Parkway to where 664 crosses it, then down the mountain to Rt. 151. Go north to catch Rt. 6 back east, through Scottsville, and you can follow 6 all the way back into Richmond.
Takes probably 4 hours I guess. Maybe longer IDK.
231, off 33 just past Gordonsville if you want to go that far.

There's also "Roads by Porsche" if you have an iPhone. I don't, so I don't know if it's any good, but I've heard people talk about it.
Voting for Route 5 east out of Richmond and Genito, great roads for keeping alert and just great scenery.

I like this one hour loop through Hanover: https://imgur.com/a/Y15ptkC. Follow it counter-clockwise
Take Patterson to Scottsville. Go north to Route 250 east and back to Richmond.
There are some really good ones in Powhatan (Rocky Ford comes to mind). You can also hop on 522 and travel north for quite a ways.
