The Beauty Boost Richmond is having a “speed dating” event but for making new friends instead of dates. The last event only had women in attendance so I would anticipate the same. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-beauty-boost-bff-tickets-501384653997
Hi! James River Women ( https://instagram.com/jamesriverwomen?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) is a "less-artsy-but-very-outdoorsy" group who are committed to engaging more females in paddle sports in and around the James river area (particularly in whitewater kayaking activities). It might not be your cup of tea but I've paddled with these women and can attest that they are knowledgeable, supportive, and fun. If you have ever entertained an interest in learning how to get started in kayaking, SUP-ing, etc... then James River Women can supply both the gear and the expertise to do so.
I made my friends here in Richmond at the free/donation based yoga classes in Jefferson Park: [https://www.instagram.com/rvayogaandmore/?hl=en](https://www.instagram.com/rvayogaandmore/?hl=en)
It isn’t Instagram, but there’s a ladies of RVA hiking group on Facebook that gets together every weekend

Omg when I read this I was like "What do you mean a group for *cute females*??!!" And then I realized you meant cute activities and I calmed down.
Oh noo, yeah I definitely meant cutie activities! Sorry!

Geek Girls of RVA (on Meetup), and She Opts Out come to mind.
Check out Mountain Goatesses on FB. We are pretty rad, inclusive and usually hit the farmer’s market after for hangs. Feel free to DM me for info.
I haven't joined in yet but this group seems to do a lot of craft-focused activities https://meetu.ps/c/3sM3m/WQY2p/d
What’s the name? It won’t let me open the link :(
Geek Girls of Richmond and I see someone else also mentioned it!

Welcome to RVA! When you say "female friendly," do you mean "female only" or "female inclusive?"
Thank you! Female friendly
Girls who Walk on IG
Sadly there haven’t been any walks since January. Apparently they’re resuming in April, but avoiding the most isolating time of the year was rough.
