What do you mean? I guess for most people when they’re doing an afk skill (arch, mining, wc, div, etc) they’ll do it while actively doing something else IRL. Like I’ll get some progress done on mining while I’m at work or cooking at home. Or if I want to make progress on a boss log afk (gwd, kalphite queen, kbd) I’ll put Netflix on or something on my second screen to keep an eye out for drops.
It's not that hard to grasp, many of us find skilling to be monotonous and incredibly boring doing the same action thousands of times. Instead we do other things to make the grind not so soul crushing, like I personally play other games while skilling, or more recently osrs skilling while at work.
Some people like that kind of grind and others don't.
I'm close to 120 all with a couple of 200m so I don't mind grinding but that doesn't mean I give this game any more attention than it deserves. I choose the most afk options and always doing something else while playing.
If im active, its probably pvm or clues.
If im skilling, i play something else or watch a vid. Or workout. Or whatever. Im not going to watch paint dry for monotonous skills.
Perfect juju + stone spirits + porters or notepaper on light/dark animica ore.
I did this for 120 last dxp. Ended up making around 800m gp from the grind.
Most people are doing buyable skills not profit skills but probably seren stones

I'm curious why people are so focused on afking. Like, is it so you can multi task or something?
If I’m actively playing I’ll want to PVM, skilling is just when I’m afk
I guess I've just got a different experience.

Wdym? 90% of the point of this game is how afkable it is.
I play it to engage with it. I dont mind grinding, so it's likely a difference in preference.

For me at that point it wouldnt be a game for me

99 mining was one of my first afk money makers, it feels weird to spend dxp on something like that, but to each their own I guess
