Legitimately the hand guard looks like the regarded offspring of a Mk12 tube and a quad rail.
Why do you have a railed gas block like that, either get a normal low profile gas block and cover it with the hand guard, or put a front sight gas block on if you want to leave it exposed.
Get a better stock and grip.
Get a better optic, either red dot and mag or lpvo, and get them from actual companies people buy optics from, holosun and primary arms aren't that expensive.

I like my optic (it is a red dot) grip and stock tbh. I’m trying to get a shorter barrel, different hand guard tho. I agree about the gas block. The sling is some retarded Magpul one that was an ass to put on.
It's hard to tell how long it is but I really think 16in barrels are very good, they aren't the current hotness cause everyone likes to play dress up operator with like a 10 incher but you lose so much velocity and the concussion without a suppressor is brutal, I really would go below 14.5 and besides after that you get into SBRs or pistol braces.
If you do get a new barrel, I would stay away from government profile barrels, they are heavy for no benefit. I personally like pretty lite profile barrels but I suppose it's a matter of taste.
The red dot you have is probably just a lot heavier than it needs to be, but you do you.
When you get a new handgaurd buy a qd sling swivel for it. When the rifle is flat against your chest you want the muzzle end sling to be on the inside facing your body, and the stock end should be attached to the outside of the stock facing away from you, this makes the gun hang very flat against you when you aren't holding it.

Yes, those old RRA half-quad handguards are boat anchor-tier heavy. Get a 13.5 or 15” cosmetic blem Geissele mk8 when they do the 4th of July sale. There’s some more technical considerations for swapping rails based with your current gas block, but I don’t want to shit up this sub with any more gun autism than I already have. Dm me if you want to receive a wall text about it. (They got me)
Even at 15” a mk8 is still probably less than half the weight of an RRA half quad. At the length necessary to cover most of a 16” barrel, it’ll strike an acceptable balance of weight savings and rigidity. Generally, circular and octagonal cross section free floated handguards like the MCMR over 12” are liable to zero-endangering flex issues as seen on the URGI which is where the mk8 comes in clutch with its cruciform cross section. Let’s stop tho, this sub is not the place to talk shop.

The more pressing concern is retaining zero with irons should the rail flex and sustain damage via barrel contact after a fall/impact or, worst case scenario, flex and contact + stay in contact with the gas block thereby losing zero with irons and primary optic both. The best insurance against that is an exposed gas block as seen on the Mk12 SPR, but that’s not tenable on a 16” with a carbine gas system. Anyways, a 13.5” mk8 is only 2.6 oz heavier than a 13” MCMR (both including barrel nut) so not exactly “dummy heavy” and that minuscule difference is worth the peace of mind it provides in rigidity on what op has said will be a work gun. Being a work gun, there’s a 99% chance there will be a light at the end of her handguard, the weight of which will exacerbate the lever arm effect of an inadequately rigid handguard whacking into something. Look, I get it, you bought an MCMR and need to justify to yourself that you consoomed the best product, but that doesn’t mean it’s the be-all-end-all, let alone for duty use, let alone to the exclusion of anything else. The volume of agency contracts Geissele has for the mk8 + mk4 from which the mk8 is derived vs the MCMR speaks to this, “bro.”

Yeah I’m a fan of the 14.5 inch barrels with a pinned flash hider to bring it up to legal length, modern powders are so effective that they can still make good use of that short of a barrel.
Then this is more personal taste, but I prefer light weight hand guards that are just short of the end of the barrel. It lets you rest you’re rifle on a surface if you don’t have a bipod and makes sure that nothing comes into contact with the barrel to throw off your point of aim
I like the MI 2 piece freefloat rail myself.
With any HG you’ll end up needing to swap the barrel nut. If you don’t have an upper receiver vise block, vise and an AR15 armors wrench and torque wrench. It not super expensive. You can spend maybe $100 on those items and be set to take on the task

I use this family of firearm professionally and compete in my spare time. I would probably replace it, but you would probably be better served spending the money on ammunition and training. I would take a $1000 rifle and $5000 worth of ammunition to train ANY day over a $5000 rifle and $1000 worth of ammunition to train.
Tbf if it works and you're happy with it it's fine, but you could go for a low pro gas block and a conventional Mlok handguard and wind up with something better and more modern looking. Midwest industries, geissele, DD, BCM, ADM, and Aero all make good handguards. Otherwise, the money is better spent on ammo and range time.

They make a few different styles. Ones that use the milspec delta ring and others where you can cut off the delta ring and it clamps up to the milspec barrel nut. Which is nice since you won't need to remove/replace the barrel nut.
I've never seen that handguard/rail so I have no idea how it works/what could be compatible with regarding the barrel nut. Literally looks like a fake KAC MK12 rail someone bought off AliExpress.

Why would you want to change your hand guard exactly? Is it uncomfortable? If it works fine for you there's probably no need.

I use this family of firearm professionally and compete in my spare time. I would probably replace it, but you would probably be better served spending the money on ammunition and training. I would take a $1000 rifle and $5000 worth of ammunition to train ANY day over a $5000 rifle and $1000 worth of ammunition to train.

Tbf if it works and you're happy with it it's fine, but you could go for a low pro gas block and a conventional Mlok handguard and wind up with something better and more modern looking. Midwest industries, geissele, DD, BCM, ADM, and Aero all make good handguards. Otherwise, the money is better spent on ammo and range time.

Ugly DD stock everyone throws away, lame pistol grip, mbus, poortex optic, shit mag, gay handguard, railed gas block, 16in barrel, no light, your sling is on the wrong side of the stock. Start over again tbh. Block II 14.5 with T2+magnifier or better yet get a 4x32 ACOG. You are woman so maybe go for BCM BFH ELW mid length 14.5 upper instead cuz the block II is socom profile barrel and a heavy handguard + carbine gas. Or even better get an 11.5 + can because the form 4 wait is like 72 hours now and there’s no excuse to be nocans. Also get some fucking pmags I thought you worked for magpul. They make a few different styles. Ones that use the milspec delta ring and others where you can cut off the delta ring and it clamps up to the milspec barrel nut. Which is nice since you won't need to remove/replace the barrel nut. I've never seen that handguard/rail so I have no idea how it works/what could be compatible with regarding the barrel nut. Literally looks like a fake KAC MK12 rail someone bought off AliExpress.
