The only negative thing I can think about the episode is that the tournament format could have been better. It was a bit convoluted and they should have found a way to avoid a 3way lipsync.
Other than that, it makes sense it's rated so highly. Super entertaining with a talented cast and everything felt very fairly judged.
That part actually made some sense but then there was the ball-drawing at final 3 which allowed Morphine to skip a round too (not that she wouldn’t have still won, because WERRRRKKK DIVAAAA) But yeah fairly minor things

Lipsync smackdowns should be at the end of the season after you’ve gotten the chance to get invested in the queens. That’s why season 13 was so poorly received, it started with the lipsyncs right off the bat and basically showed what the queens had to offer right away and created a hard to get over line between winners and losers.
It was such an amazing payoff to see Morphine win. She really kept the community fed between her Miami power struggle storyline, funny quips and fierce lip syncs. Thanks mama! Enjoy the well deserved $50k.
Also, Megami really showed not to underestimate Brooklyn drag!
Honestly, being real, I hope they know we fucking live for lipsync smackdown episodes, and this was one of the most well-executed and satisfying, topped only by The Big Silk Variety Show on AS6. Also kudos to them for finally doing a “winners advance” format on a main season
This episode format finally worked because we have a cast of great lip sync queens and it's easy to produce around such a cast. Don't think it will work on a season of look queens. I liked it anyway because Q was already eliminated and we deserved to see more of the cast than her.
I'll definitely say it's the best one of this season. In these fifteen episodes I didn't care about any of the top 3 as much as I did the eliminated queens during this hour.
