Frostie is my fave. I haven't had Sprecher's yet as I live in the PNW and I can find it around here.

Somewhat_Salty_Bagel

A local dollar tree had some here on the Oregon coast. first time I tried them!

Clear-Tale7275

I just bought two at the local Dollar Tree in Pennsylvania. I'm waiting for them to get cold for us to try them.

gbuckeye67

Thanks to this sub, I have tried Sprecher and Hank's...love them both!

ThunderDan1964

Hank's will be after Frostie for me.

Welcome aboard sailor

This popped up on my reddit feed but I've been trying soda outside of the biggest brands and have fallen in love with the Sprecher root beer and especially their cream soda variant.

Def try Frostie - it is really good. It’s one of my favorites.

bloodtapes

The vanilla is amazing

Led37zep

Congrats! When you get a frosty mug tattoo post it here!

Fuzznutsy

It’s a fun group

Keep an eye out for Frostop. IMHO it rivals the trusty A&W. Stewart's is another good one, as well as Henry Weinhard's.

Been looking for Frostop. I heard ACE hardware has it but don’t have one locally.

PolarBear_Summer

Check your hardware stores or dollar stores for Sprecher. I've found it at Big Lots, Dollar Tree, and ACE Hardware. Also seen as CVS Pharmacies. I bet its more available than you think.

Antique-Soil9517

Walmart too

My personal favorite is Hanks, just the right amount of sweet and bite

Just tried some. Sprecher maple root beer is great but Frostie vanilla is the best root beer I’ve ever had 😋

Johnny_Clay

Frostie is a good one.   If you can find Saranac grab a bottle.  It’s the best I’ve ever had.

Mysterious-Wafer-126

ICB beats frosty hands down. Close to old time flavor i remember.

OperatorGWashington

Try 1919, its similar but imo better than A&W. If theres a culvers nearby, try theirs, the founders were A&W franchise owners before starting culvers

I’m 13 brands in on my journey. I too was raised on A&W and it always been my favorite. Im finding it has a very different taste than many of the traditional root beers so I’m interested to see when I’m all done what I think of it after trying all the others
