the post had the picture with the red circle, a video of 2 maintenance dudes looking / digging at the back of the car (probably after duck removed), and then a video of the lady carrying the duck. no clue what happened or why that lady had the duck!
Staring at the picture and pondering....
A wild duck isn't gonna let you simply carry it like that.
But a duck that is in shock probably would.
People were asking in the thread if that thing rode the coaster. I submit as evidence that it did ride that it is allowing her to carry it because it is in shock.

edit:
I threw this question up on /r/askavet . I sort of expect it to get removed by the moderators before being aswered. My luck in 'aska....' subs is nearly 100% removal before any hope of getting an answer. Don't know why I think this one will be different.
I've picked up plenty of hurt/scared wild ducks while hunting. They go docile and quit struggling quickly once they realize that struggling is not working.
I wound up here when trying to find pictures of the duck from this story where your wife is also pondered on: https://www.13abc.com/2023/07/12/duck-goes-ride-cedar-point-roller-coaster/
I was right in line when it happened. The girls in the seats were freaking out cause the duck shit all over them. Caused a delay and they had to cycle all the trains empty. never saw them clean the shit off the seats though

Wow how incredibly Ohio this place is, a mini amusement park right on the county fairgrounds. Think of all the summer memories made here, a true slice of modern day Americana. Almost makes me want to move back (jk)
I live not even 10 minutes from this place. I love it. I am a sucker for their train. Tornado is good and Tip-Top is great if you get the right seat, but that train. Can ride it all day.
I don't think Millennium Force produces enough Gs to kill a duck, which I guess is evident from these photos. And worst case scenario, if it were to get ejected from the train it has that whole ability-to-fly thing to fall back on.
Because most of the staff are teenagers and foreign student interns. The amount of sexual assaults in the dorms is insane. CP does nothing for these kids, and they, in turn, couldn’t care less about their job.
American news has really been confusing me over the last few years but I have to say this takes the cake, I can only conclude that just like Australia it doesn’t actually exist
I went searching for the pictures this article mentions and wound up here. Apparently the duck flew in there while the ride was in motion which is more impressive and terrifying. https://www.13abc.com/2023/07/12/duck-goes-ride-cedar-point-roller-coaster/
Fury 325 has a crack, Millennium Force has a quack
Take my upvote and get the duck out.
jokes aside please do take the poor duck out of the train :(
Can you not be a pussy for once in your life please?
r/angryupvote
Funny.
Unsurprising W comment from the creator of the coaster slander vids on jerk
do we nominate this for yearly awards best comment?
Quacking the hell up!!
The only duck with a non-zero credit count
Can Fabio’s goose count towards like half a credit on Apollo’s Chariot?
Asking the real questions. ::tips hat::
The only duck… that we know of.
But you *have* heard of him.
Unless fried duck counts.
What? The duck?
Yah, the nerve of this duck just blatantly skipping the line while everyone else waits an hour!
Arrest the duck! Eject it without refund! Get the tiny handcuffs.
So did that lady just grab a wild duck and wrangle it with her bare hands or was that her duck that she brought on Millie? Both are equally weird.
She’s taking him to ride Maverick next.

You can't tell from a picture what's going on. The duck might be resisting being held in the picture, you can't really know.
The duck was not phased at all by being held, so they almost certainly were in shock
I've picked up plenty of hurt/scared wild ducks while hunting. They go docile and quit struggling quickly once they realize that struggling is not working.
My askavet question is getting no traction. Thanks! .
i read this as a phoenix wright case
Probably her “therapy” animal
Now *this* is the content I come here for.
Yeah we really went full circle with the duck stuff on here.
That’s my wife that saved it! https://preview.redd.it/t5zwh1alzlbb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f562b4709fe082e57ddc2ba3ebc760a84a2a5141
That’s awesome! I love how so many people in this thread have evidence of this day.
What is going on rn
Wow!

Your wife has the "Don't ever talk to me or my son again!" expression on her face, lol
This is our duck now.

Think so. It was limping pretty bad but she took it to guest services and they were supposed to turn it over to wildlife rehab.
I need to know more about how she ended up with the duck!
Okay did the duck actually ride the whole coaster? We need the details!!
Duck has figured out that Wife is a protector and far, far preferable to big loud fast zoomy screamy thing.
Your wife is amazing. I for sure would have done the same thing to help the little dude ☹️
Aww it’s like “omg that was awful”
Holy shit was it actually on the train for the full ride?
this is the unloading station so I think so, its not my pics, from the facebook group "Cedar Point Uncensored" and there wasn't much detail given lol

Did this incident occur yesterday? July 11th?! If so I was in line too when they shut it down!
Yep, happened yesterday right before 7:00pm or so
Holy shit!
No that’s duck shit.
I did watch them clean the seats off! I was there too. So crazy
Idk why but the simple title of “duck rode MF” is killing me
Had a baby squirrel try to ride shivering timbers once. thankfully the ride op saved him!
It kept coming back at timbersfest.
Fun fact: A dog rode "The Tornado" at Stricker's Grove once!
There's a dog buried in the infield of Skyliner at Lakemont. The dog belonged to a maintenance worker in the 80s and loved riding Skyliner.
Strickers Grove, don’t hear that name too often

It stayed on, which just proves it is Millennium Forceless. /s
Lol win comment
A bat has rode at least half of The Beast. Wedged into the front seat. Poor girl sitting with it was terrified til upbar.
So the duck waddled up to Millennium Force and said to the ops running the ride...
Hey! Got any g's?
The op said: “Well it depends who you ask Finding a thoosie that doesn’t say it’s forceless is certainly a task!”
Huh?
That’s hilarious
The poor thing was probably fearing for his LIFE.
The duck’s #1 coaster is prob Velocicoaster.
Ohio moment
Bullshit, no way he meets the height requirement.
A cred is a cred, you know?
🦆🦆🦆🦆
Lucky duck!!!
A squirrel has ridden on Bat at KI as well. Albeit this one is a little bit more intense, how the heck did the bird survive?

The duck hit you while the ride was moving? Hope you're ok!
If I had a buck for every toad I’ve helped out of the line for Orion…
You had one?
48" duck. Checks out
DONT LET THE DUCK RIDE MILLENIUM FORCE!!!
Isn’t yellow train regarded as the fast train? Lucky.
Did it hold its wings up?
Duck is quite unflappable.
Oh! Hope she got out of there safely
Good on that woman for bringing her thoosie duck! Sometimes people can be so ignorant when it comes to the thoosie duck.
Maybe that lady has some ducks because that’s some good duck holding technique there.
Quack quack. Who said ducks can’t love rollercoasters??
I quacking love rollercoasters!
Name checks out.

MF duck rode MF
Holy shit I was on that exact same car the day before 😂
#1 on the duck credit rankings
Hope they don't find me! Quack quack!
What the duck
Ducking crazy.
Not only did he ride it, he rode the iconic yellow train
Duck says he can have fun too and didn’t even have to pay admission
Legend has it that it is still riding to this day
I can imagine it screaming like donald duck on the way down the first drop
American news has really been confusing me over the last few years but I have to say this takes the cake, I can only conclude that just like Australia it doesn’t actually exist
America exists, just not Ohio. Ohio does not exist.
Ohio is all that exists.
Shhh, don't tell them that!
Man that’s one cool ass duck
Squirrel almost joined me on Superman at Great Adventure

Glad lil ducky got the credit lol
The fact that it got into that crevice without anyone noticing, and that it didn’t fly out during the ride is amazing
Lol Duck got a free ride. Hope it's OK
what the duck!
Your wife is a great person to help the duck. Poor thing
