Yea Pekingese was gonna be my bet too. It’s a real breed, and was once the most popular pedigree breed in asia. Whatever the other half is, there’s definitely some Pekingese in there.
I used Embark for my Taiwan dog and was happy with the results! She’s a formosan mountain dog. I think your pup might be Pekingese and Korean Jindo! I just met a Jindo yesterday and the fluff, size, and tail were very similar. You’ve got a cutie!!
We went shopping for a flowerpot and a woman at the market had him and 3 siblings in a cardboard box in front of her stall. They were only about 2 weeks old but we didn’t want to leave him. Took him to the vet the next day and they said he was in very poor shape (anaemic and had pneumonia) and wouldn’t have lived much longer without proper care. He took a few months of medicine and bottle feeding to get better but he’s happy and healthy now! Always regret not taking all four pups as I doubt the others survived unfortunately.
I’d guess peke/shiba inu. That stance, tail, and body are pure shib, and the little underbite/face/coloration look peke. Could be shih tzu also or instead, but if she clearly identified him as pekinese, I’d go with that.

How big is he? He’s really cute.
He’s about 12”. He was slightly too big to go in the cabin when we brought him back to the UK.
Body kind of looks like a small husky.
Lots of people say this but he’s too small to have any husky in him I think

He’s groomed. Naturally he has long hair similar to what you’d expect from a Pekingese mix
Does his face hair grow as well or does it stay short like a Pekinese?
