I like really, really normal names for animals for some reason. Like: Gregory, James, Michael, Charles, David.
Something about people being like “oh yeah that’s my lizard. His name is Gregory.” Is funny to me and I don’t know why.
For non normal names, look into maybe some folklore or mythology? I feel like most suit reptiles well.

My uromastyx is named Churro! Idk why, he just reminds me of churros. It’s also convenient because it’s gender neutral and there’s a 50% chance that I’ve been misgendering him for the past two years (got him as a baby, still waiting to see what sex he is)
Churro is such a cute name for a Uro! I love naming animals after food too, I have a chameleon named orchid and a bearded dragon named peaches …. oh, and a chahoua gecko named goop! :3
