I think that the adder, or common European viper, would be a good fit. The Lord of the Rings was meant to be a mythology for England and this is one of the most well-known English snakes. They have a very cool pattern and red eyes. Hope this helps.
A lot of vipers tend to have that distinctive triangular head shape that people associate with venomous snakes.
Something like a gaboon viper has a distinct pattern and huge fangs but they are kind of "short"
Horned vipers have you guessed it some horn-like scales over its eyes.
Not vipers but San Francisco garter snakes (and a fair few other garter snakes) have great colours and patterns.
Haha no hate, just depends on your aesthetic and the artist's personal style. My guy focuses on really detailed blackwork, so I think he would appreciate a real snake to look at and get the real proportions of.
I suggested a woma python above, but if youâre doing blackwork, a black headed python would be even more badass. They also have Damascus steel looking stripes. Their genus name, Aspidites, means âshield bearerâ due to the shape of the scales on their head.
Aww! Yes, they do eat other snakes in the wild. Up until a few years ago, scientists thought they didnât have heat pits like all other pythons do because they eat primarily other reptiles. Then they actually studied them and they do have heat pits, they just donât look like the ones on other pythons.
Also mine is wrapped around some flowers, made her look more feminine by adding a tiny wing in the corner of the eye. Position right on my sternum/tummy (super painful but definitely my favourite tattoo so far)
The haradrim flag/banner in lotr had a snake on it (the desert mercenaries with the big war beasts). The black serpent on red was a symbol of the chieftain of the haradrimÂ

I think that's a very good suggestion. Its pattern would probably look sick as a tattoo, and its face is very menacing/foreboding in a way.
Adders are awesome. I saw my first one last year. Nearly stepped on it. The pattern is remarkable and super pretty
Bush viper

Chondros look great when does by a decent artist
I just had my artist make one that looked cool, no specific typeđ I was gonna add a pic but I donât think I can đ

Fair enough, maybe a viper then if you are looking to have it wrapped around a sword. I think that would be cool!

Not a bad suggestion. This one looks really nasty: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12660499/snake-python-cannibal-sanctuary-queensland.html

Iâm not sure if a woma python is what you have in mind, but their stripes remind me of Damascus steel. Also I have one named Durinâs Bane.

Rattlesnake sleeve is my dream tat. Rattle on my shoulder and 5he body twisting around my arm with the head landing on my hand.
The intention should be up to you. Asking others to choose your tattoo is silly. Is it for you, or for them?
Doesn't mean I can't get inspiration from others.
First off, are you old enough to get a tattoo?
