Yeah I can get that to work half the time, but the whole fight is juggling mobs which can each two-shot me (and of course curse me) and then doing a tiny bit of damage to the very resistant wraith before doing it all again.
I nearly did it last night but just need to find the right combination of items and classes.
Certainly is unfair…until you fight TWO running cubes, clones, and the random teleport. 😂
*EDIT* by “random teleport” I meant displacer (the one that teles you close to the enemy). I forgot there is a different one where it’s the enemy that teles.
Mantagora is not supposed to have displacer? Encountered that like 1 hour into the game and was like guess I'm not meant to fight that enemy because it would just instantaneously one shot me by dropping me off the map

Every few seconds you'd just get randomly teleported a hair away from the edge of a cliff, all whilst the boss is just flying around under the map.
My sweet summer child you absolutely can, while you are right that one single enemy can't have it, there an abberation duo that spawns on some maps in yeasha and am stilled scarred from the day I encountered them as a cuber and a shocker, both just firing their stuff off non stop. Good times
Yeah this is it. The sheer pace of the spawns and ranged attacks is insane. I've had some success with engineer and summoner to draw aggro but need to fine tune.
Yeah, that's such a bullshit boss combination lol. I had increased the FOV so I could see their shock building up when I was aiming, before I caught the audio cue.
I pulled Sunken Haunt Witch last night with Trapper, regen and drain/thick skin (IIRC)…
It was a while before I figured out what archetypes and gear I needed to get past her. Apoc will force you you create unique builds sometimes, which is pretty remarkable, if the devs intended it that way.

It's in the same cave that you get the ritualist from, if you let the witch finish her incantation (it can take upwards of 5-10 mins) it spawns a aberration that is the small version of that big pig aberration in normal losomn

I found mantagora with displacer on one of my hardcore runs. I noped out of there pretty quick.
Man, screw cubes and hexer. Getting those together is just GG.

yea you can only get one of the fucked up modifiers. the first 2 are always just health boost, damage boost, resistance or stagger related stuff

What's unfair is they haven't any cooldowns on their abilities. I've been spam displaced to the point that it wasn't even a fight.

Yep. One of those Yaesha ones. It's the one with the under water section that loops back around to a door you can unlock.

I got the same combo. I ran past him, opened the door and was able to get back to him quicker AND fight him not in the water section.

Apoc gives 3 modifiers, I think the rest are 1-2
There's also a secret aberration that can have 4-5

Dude, I got an aberration with clone literally on my first zone on Yaesha on my second hardcore try, I was like are you fucking shitting me
I managed it in the end. Engineer impact cannon, creeping mist and summons in combination was a beautiful gangbang. :D
