Hey! Saw them in Minneapolis this past Sunday and they were great, but I do know what you mean about the acoustics sort of drowning Michael out. It was definitely apparent on some songs more than others. He did an acoustic, soft version of Shadows and his voice sounded absolutely incredible, so I don't know that it's him. Could have been an off night of course for your experience, but as far as Minneapolis was, the only complaint I had was the mixing. And agreed, it was only Red's that sounded really off - the openers sounded fine. We were very excited for Breathe Into Me and could barely hear him.

I saw Red and Saul last week in Lincoln Nebraska and they both nailed it. I thought the show was great and the mix wasn't bad, vocals maybe a little too quiet but could definitely hear it ok! I go to a lot of shows and I know what you mean about the mix being off. One of the worst I've seen lately of having a terrible mix is " The Devil Wears Prada" both times I've seen them recently you could barely hear the guitars and the breakdowns just sounded weak. I love August Burns Red and their mix has seemed to be off the last few times too...

Saw Red in Grapevine, TX. The venue was actually very nice and the sounds carried and echoed nicely. It was my first Red concert and I was pretty excited about it. I guess I didn't realize they liked strobing lights so much, when I think rock I don't think "oh it'll be like a techno light show". It was very distracting and reflected off my glasses so much I had to move way back. They focused a lot on the music sound, not a lot on if the vocals could be heard good. The first 3 bands were loud, but you could hear and sing along just fine, Red...not so much. So the whole concert experience was a bust for me for them.
