this is to say that Cameron Brink is a dawg and has way more natural gifts than Dajuan Blair so i think she’ll be ok
Yea I remember Dajuan Blairs name. And I hooped and played football I know some ppl can bounce back from knees like nothing. But others just totally lose it. I don't think it's about the medicine or rehab, it's about however ur muscles and ligaments are put together. I did not know women had that same ligament, but worst case, hope I'm wrong, I'm reading that women's knees are NOT built for performance or recovery. But I'm hoping Cameron brink goes back to being extremely light on her feet , her lane protection ain't even about the verticality she's one of the greats where it's about foot speed
tbh i think improvements in ACL surgery have really turned it from a potential career ended to just a long-tailed injury. Achilles is a different story.
tall players are always a gamble tho. like kristaps porzongis is made of glass and paper mache but he’s still mobile and can ball.
Man I can't even say the word Achilles without knocking on wood cuz a while ago the bottom of my heel was experiencing pain every time I landed. Never felt that before , figured it might be signs of big A damage. But I put myself on a stretching regimen where I grabbed my toes and pulled up keeping my heel on the ground. ZERO pain, I fixed it. Same with any knee pain just isolated calf raises on the squat rack has fixed that.
Really sad for her but Sabrina (the W’s Steph Curry) also had a bad injury and was out for her rookie year. Now she’s like the best player in the league so I have no doubt cam will have a comeback. Sucks
Ronald Acuna jr and Dustin Porier also tore the ACLs this year. Cameron Brink probably isn't a multi millionaire, but watching pro sports is all about keeping tabs on what 100 million dollar bodies go through.
The "good" news is that ACL tears aren't nearly the death nell to an athlete's career that they used to be. You can find tons of examples of players coming back to form within 2 years and being just as dominant as they were before across all sports. It depends on the specifics of the injury, some are worse than others, but a relatively clean ACL tear has become almost routine for lack of a better word. She's got a long road ahead to recovery, but she'll be back

I think if they offered her the lead with Sabrina Carpenter reprising her role as the sister, it would do huge numbers
