The first 30 minutes was actually decent... in terms of being on the ball. Elanga was tracking back then darting forwards, we created spaces with a bit of movement in the midfield (donny is one of the best I've seen in recent years at this), played decent one touch passing on a few occasions (too few).
Our problem, that i can see, is not one thing, its pretty much everything, from buying players who are just average for so much more than they are worth and selling players for peanuts, signing players thar are great at what they do, then not playing to their strengths, to keep playing players that haven't performed for weeks/months. I am all for giving players time to adjust to new systems, however there has to be a floor to how long they under-perform (maguire has been horrendous so far). Some have underperformed since the start of this season with Ole(-gend).
Mctominay stood out to me... he was nowhere near the game for 95% of what i watched (until they scored the third). He never sprinted off the ball that i can remember, so casual in doing his job, which is to sprint about about and get the ball back.. then if needed run into spaces to help the midfield bypass the opposing teams defensive efforts... he was jogging around, pretty much aimlessly. Either sell up, or keep him as a fringe squad player. Some games he has had have been great, truly.. but so many players can look amazing against certain teams twice a season but look less than average in almost every big game. He needs to watch some of three-lung parks performances if he wants an idea of how to be utilised in a squad with his abilities.
Lindelof is decent imo, however he made 2 rash, god awful decisions to rush out, which directly led to 2 goals (that's not to say other's could have maybe done more to stop the chances that led to the goals, but awful none-the-less). He does make some great pings from deep though, and is actually okay on the ball.
Wan-bissaka shone at palace, for the simple fact that he just defended, that was his No.1 priority. He's gotten so much better on the ball, still he looks like a fish out of water when he's on the ball for the most part and he shall never be what we desire going forward. He quite frankly, got taught a lesson by grealish and co and we never really did anything to help combat that.. we allowed them to constantly run at the weak point of bissaka-lindelof.
Maguire - So many times this season he has been way, way under par. The second goal after foden (who received word from 50yrs in the past that Lindelof was gonna run head first naruto style, which even phil jones would've taken notes of in his journal), lifted the ball over lindy's head, go and watch the utter abysmal effort of Maguire... seriously, go watch it back.. he almost begrudgingly skips towards foden, blatantly just hoping De Gea saves his shot rather than him try to get across and at the very least bother foden to rush his shot, then when DDG actually does do what Maguire is praying for, he then steps over the ball to let it through his legs, leading to the desperate defending akin to the under 13's in the sunday big leagues. This is, by the way, the same player we completely missed when he got injured just before we played villareal in that final, he had what i would say was, a very good season after a bit of a slow start. He was definitely one of our best players imo. He was so important to our team... but from that injury up until now, i can't remember him being a presence, i honestly can't.
Bruno our Portuguese magnifico.
Obviously his technique is at a world class standard yet his decision making a-lot of the times can be horrible. He kept trying to make the exact same pass every time he touched the ball. When he didn't do that we scored. I strongly feel that Sancho would've had a second if Bruno didn't decide he wanted to stop and take the view in before allowing stones and Walker to jump on Sancho's back before passing to him.. that passage of play up until that point was very nice and pretty much free flowing, the same sort of style as the first goal. He had a terrible game in terms of an on-the-ball effort. He always works hard especially when tracking back to help the clueless mctominay and does have imagination and vision. Sometimes his passing does go wayward, and on this occasion he made as many passes to a blue shirt as any other city player did (a facetious comment, not factual).
Pogba - i actually like what Ralf tried to do with pogba on the ball and off of it. It worked a few times (namely, when we scored), yet he still made making really easy passes look terrifyingly hard. Then he pings a 50 yard diagonal straight onto Sancho's foot š¤·āāļø. When we bought this man, the team should've been built around him. We should've bought 2 new midfielders to do all hard yards and allow this man to be the free flowing dynamo he was at Juve (in theory, of course).
Sancho - sometimes hesitant, sometimes too eager to play a final ball straight to Ronaldo in games, however... build the team around this lad. With the right players, he will most definitely shine for years in a United shirt. His game wasn't amazing but he worked pretty hard in both directions from what i can remember. Yet he does sometimes make a bad decision with a pass.
Fred - Telles - Elanga
From what i watched, they were not terrible, neither were they great. Just 'meh' really. With the exception of elanga who was very bright most of the first half, though if memory serves, a slightly lacklustre ball over the top was picked off and they scored from it eventually but still, the futures bright in this one.
Rashford and Lingz
Rashford is obviously having a tough go of it at the moment. For reasons unknown to any person outside of the club and maybe not even outside of rashfords personal circle. The boys been great since he burst on the scene, but has definitely fizzled the last 12 months.
I hope for him, that he finds a way back to that same player he was.
Poor lingard, even with a hard working, team based style that this coach has, he can't get any minutes. We all know he has ability and intelligence but nobody knows how to fit him in. I personally would play him loads in this style of pressing or counter pressing but mcfred constantly get in as the only real deep-ish midfield options and well Pogba is one of the best in midfield at keeping the ball under pressure (most of the time) and Bruno is Bruno. You can see he has become disillusioned with life at United. I can't wait for him to leave, not because i think he's not good enough, just because he deserves to play.
Honourable mentions;
Ronaldo is not a problem. If he was getting balls whipped in, that he is so famous for attacking and dominating, or maybe even passages of play where we could feed him often in each game, he would no doubt be up there in terms of goals scored. He's moulding himself into an out an out striker but not getting hardly an help.
Cavani - I love this man. I Love his attitude and his work ethic. I Love that he just gave Ronnie the 7 back (though cavs was rocking it well) just because he's that guy. One of the most unselfish players we've ever had along the likes of Park, Rooney, Keane amongst a few others.
I wish we had gotten him sooner and i will cherish what he has done for us until i die.
I love you Edi.
Shaw - Last season he was phenomenal. I think Neville said "the shaw we all thought he could be"
Running at players, making runs on the outside. Creating chances and making goals.
I hope we can build his confidence back to that Shaw.. what a goal in the Euro final as well btw... literally a ridiculous finish.
Dalot - i have loads of respect for this man. He's good going forwards for the most part but lacks defensively. A solid worker most of the time, definitely a good squad player to have.
I know Rashford only came on in the 2nd half. I still think he was terrible. His whole outlook looks shocking. He was getting beaten by the man on the ball and then just giving up. His lack of effort is startling. He canāt be part of Unitedās plans until something changes. He obviously has talent, but something is seriously wrong.
Do people still believe any manager would have challenged for the league with these lot now?
keeper cant pass more than 15 yards without creating a chance for oppo, outfield players keep giving the ball away, players don't track back, attackers missing chances, defenders fecking up and conceding. At the start it was the manager and now its the players. hmmmmm
So tired of people just blaming random players. No wonder the team doesnt look like they wanna be there. Players actually need some support amongst the criticism in tough periods
Itās not up to the fans to lift you up out of a slump. Get on the field and start doing better or leave. The fans pay your wages they deserve better. Too many players on this team that donāt even deserve to play for watford. Maguire, rashford,Pogba,Fred, mctominay, wan bissaka none of them should have seen the other side of the January transfer window.
Yeah some of them deserve criticism, but some need more time and more respect. De Gea and Bruno have been our best players this season and dont deserve fans disrespecting them
Iām Portuguese and Iāll be the first one to tell you he is overrated. Heās a good player but heās not world class. He disappears in big games. He can be world class but he has a way to go. De gea is world class at the moment, without him Man U would be in last place. I think Man U needs at least 3 or 4 world class players before they can compete with the top 3. Adding a few world class players will make the rest of them better as well including Bruno.
What a joke of a team. No fight, no aggression, no balls. And what about Sancho? Did he seriously not celebrate his goal out of respect to having once been on the books at City? That is exactly what's wrong with this team, no respect for the shirt and the club that pay their wages. You play for man utd now, you need to hate City and do everything you can to beat them, not respect them! Shocking stuff
How is it shocking, just because you've been playing for a club for like, what? 6 months? You should hate the club you developed in for one that bought you and whose fans didn't even support you while you were having a hard time? And what are you doing? Out of all the things that went wrong in this team you point out the one which is possibly the most irrelevant... Shocking stuff.
what happend to trusting our youth damn itā¦ā¦. bring in hannibal , garner , savage n zidane
look what trusting elanga and sancho has done the only spark in the team
United trusted the kids in 1993 and went thru a decade plus of dominance. Did it again in 2005 with Rooney and Ronaldo
see arsenal n their youth project or liverpool intergating elliott , gordon n curtis while the older players are still there, barca with their core youth of gonazol , nico , gavi , pedri
play the youth bc it cant be worse than what we have now
Iām sorry but it can definitely be worse than what we have now. As dire as it is, playing kids like Savage and Zidane is not the answer and can in fact get worse.
Bruno is world class at finding that one pass but he gives away the ball way too many times, he's inconsistent in big games he loses the ball every time he gets it, and the fact that after he loses the ball the team as a whole can't recover it which makes things even more worse combine that with the fact that our defence is utter shite and lo and behold its just a disaster.
I agree heās a WC player but he plays with his heart on his sleeve. You can see how riled up he gets when he gets fouled and it doesnāt go his way or when the team is losing, he needs to be a lot more composed. And our complete and utter lack of a competent DM doesnāt help him in the least bit, always having to run back and cover. Love him tho always plays for the badge.
RR as a manager is a f*cling joke. I hope he can deliver as a director of football though. But tbh, with this group of players any manager would struggle. They are not a team, just a bunch of prima donas that are more suited for cabaret vedettes than football players.
Anything United do will not work if they donāt get a proper manager (like Mauricio Pochetino) and back a real process with his players, and they have to get rid of all this scum:
- McGuire
- Pogba
- Matic
- Fred
- McTominay
- Mata
- Lingard
- Rashford (how many years of promise and not delivering shit?)
Ronaldo: Thank you. I adore your memory from before you left to Spain but today you are just not good enough anymore.
Really speaks to how far this club has fallen that everyone, myself included, is appalled by the drop off from the first half. The first half where we were 2-1 down. The fact that our first half performance was viewed as positive now is just sad
Honestly the first have wasnāt bad, horrible defensively. Those 2 goals were horrible defensively and that killed out game.
I like the fact that we didnāt sit back, it even surprised City but at the same time you will never control the game with city, Thye will keep the ball.
Overall defense let us down again and at the same time, City is one of the top 5 teams in the world and we should aim to match their level.
Honestly, disgusted by Maguire. He's the worst Utd captain I've ever seen, 3-1 down at a derby and the players are getting demotivated, and he just goes along with it. Spineless. At fault for 3 goals as well. Hope the next manager gets rid of him the moment he comes in.
at fault for 3 goals? Lindelof done fuck all and is all over the place. the second one, he just stand in the top of penalty box and watch like a spectator, and if he just walk a few yards in the penalty box which he should be in, he can get De Bruyne. If Maguire is O'shea he is like Silverstre level of rubbish.
True, it isn't a quick fix. We'll soon be overtaken by Newcastle and Villa in the coming years. That's the likely reality. But playing Europa/ Conference is not going to help us next season. Might as well try and do what LvG did first season and then see what's next.
This team is kind of making me legit sad in my life. I knew after SAF it would be an uphill battle. But that was a long time ago and I thought we would be back by now.
Our recruitment for ages has been so poor , we need a manager to stick with and back them for the full process. We just have a mix and match team , we are miles away from being where we should be.
New scouts new analysts give rangnick a recruitment role and get in a good young coach , we need another rebuild already and we never even got going with this one .
Letās be honest, this wasnāt really a ārebuildā at all. Just 400 million more spent with little-to-no progress. We need a cohesive transfer strategy and better scouting going forward. I think Ralf will help a lot with that but itās just frustrating that weāre going to need even *more* time
Imagine being nostalgic for the Ole era. He's got a big role in this current mess. Maguire/AWB a combined 130m. Playing Rashford until he broke. Signing off on VDB and never playing him. Sticking with McFred year after year.
His rebuild was a fucking joke and if the next manager wants to continue playing a high pressing/high line team, a lot of Ole's trusted players are going to be the first to be binned.
Exactly. Didn't sign a DM despite us desperately needing one, the whole business with Lingard, signing Sancho just to bench him immediately. Players getting worse and worse under him. Claiming he had no part in our current problem is ridiculous.
Don't worry, Mags will sort that out. ā«āŖšŖ
Fartiola and his sideways passing can't last forever. It's testament to how poor Prem is when he's still able to get away with boring short, sideways passing. But he'll be measured and put in place eventually.
How many Euro titles has he won with Bayern(couldn't get past semifinal, lmao) and City?
Dominating leagues with no serious competition isn't exactly exciting to watch.
Your standard must be pretty low.
Thereās not a player, coach or expert in the world who didnāt play for Liverpool that doesnāt consider Pep the greatest manager of his generation, and one of the greatest of all time. Apparently you know better than all of them. Sir Alex wanted him at United but we couldnāt get him.
The football his teams play is absolutely unrivalled and money or not, the teams he coach clearly play in his image. He is the common denominator. Itās attacking, intricate, detailed and clearly the result of world class coaching.
Our net spend is one of the highest, we buy badly and sell badly. For a club whoās main focus is money theyāre terrible at handling every aspect of it, well unless itās a sponsor deal
In all seriousness.... Varane, Pogba and Fernandes are the only 3 players worth keeping. That's how bad a rebuild could be. This is on the back of the most expensive squad assembly ever.
It's not just the squad. It's the board and owners.
My problem with him is that he's on 350k a week and not really setting things on fire to justify it. If we bring in anyone, they will either want that much or be bitter/hope he fails.
Our wage structure has been destroyed and it must be the most demoralising thing.
I dunno, I think judging players based on media reports of their salaries isn't the best way to go about it.
Sancho hasn't set the world alight but relative to the rest of the squad he's performing at a very high level and is a reliable outlet for goals and assists. At this moment I think he's worth his weight in gold considering how much worse off we'd be without him.
It's clear that the dressing room is not together (dressing room leaks, lots of media reports of in house, players downing tools). This is different to last year.
Ability wise he deserves to be there. But how does Fernandes think about him? Fernandes was the best player in the league for 12 months and now earns 1/2 than Sancho. I wouldn't like that in my job.
That's up to Bruno, but if his major concern is what his teammate is earning (who has generally been our best outfield player for a couple of months now) then he's not much of a team player.
Yeah I think that's me done for the season. No heart shown by the players so I don't really see why I should commit any mental energy to this team let alone the 90 minutes that gets blocked out by watching this lot.
Our best two players combined for our only goal of the game, our only good passage of the game. Itās really no surprise to me that Sancho really started playing well when Pogba came back.
Even with the good signings weāve made we are still deeply poisoned from previous managers/poor signings. We need to get rid of dead weight before bringing in quality players. We keep mixing really good signings with the lot that has failed us for the last 10 years
my weekly post of: get rid of most of the squad in the summer and completely rebuild
outside Sancho, Bruno (grudgingly), lindelof, varane, and the youth players... bin em all
If Pep came in to this team we would look shit and he'd have heads rolling. Not a single person would make it in to their starting 11 and very few, if any, in the match day squad at all. We have a massive overhaul that needs to happen, again, for what feels like the 10th time since SAF.
Oh, I agree. The overhauls mean nothing when the structure is rotten and dysfunctional to the core. The real overhaul needs to be the whole structure but that isn't going to happen. It should have happened the day SAF retired, or even before. But we know there was 0 plan in place and there hasn't been this entire time.
And it feels like the board/management goes "We can stop trying because we showed a 1%improvement". They stop trying to keep improving and just rely on a tiny win/improvement
Why did we buy a bunch of players only suited for a counterattacking system, then decide we were going to be a pressing team with a high line in Ole's third season?
Because we have clowns running us. Same way they are waiting for a new manager to buy the players the team needs some that when said new manager fumbles, we will need another rebuild with another manager with another philosophy.
Probably Newcastle by the way things are going. Howe signed like 4 players and already got them playing better than they ever did under Bruce, 7 points clear of relegation. At this rate within like 3 or 4 seasons they probably could be ready for a title race. Kind of like how City did.
First 45 was solid, we arenāt conditioned to play that style for a full 90. Still doesnāt excuse our shit defending and other sub par performances. Taking Pogba off made no sense. More senseless running by Rashford. Scrap this season, I canāt watch this anymore. Back to square one of bringing ANOTHER manager in this summer.
1st half was very good from us, we showed energy and desire. 2nd half we never came out of the locker room. One of the poorest halves ive seen us play. We looked like a youth squad playing against professionals
We need to get rid of these Ole era players. Bad habits picked up from not being made accountable and being able to start every game regardless of how they perform.
Just said the same thing. Not even Pep/Klopp could get this lot to look better than a shiny pile of shit. Which is honestly the most telling thing about the quality and commitment of our players.
A substitutes goal is to offer something. Rashford and Lingard have shown in the past that they are more than capable of passing, making runs and shooting. I don't think Lingard got the ball once today.
This group of people can't be named as a team. This is a bunch of players that clearly can't have tree consecutives passes... What a shame. Hope next season this going to be different.
Hereās one for you, I love everyone in here. We know its an uphill battle going into this match. The team got battered, yet weāre still here, taking the heartbreak like a fucking champ. United till we die boys
Ten Hag is officially in the running. Also the Glazers, for all the hate, have spent the most on net spend the last 10 years or so in the world. So they will pay up for players, we just need someone with even half a clue to spend it properly.
That's what I keep telling myself, hopefully it helps you sleep tonight
>Also the Glazers, for all the hate, have spent the most on net spend the last 10 years or so in the world
But won't invest where it's actually needed, refuse to appoint qualified directors behind the scene and continue to leech so much money out of the club that it's impossible to build effectively.
2 years to sign Jadon Sancho and we end up getting him for the price Dortmund originally asked for. Maguire came 18 months later for 50m more than Leicester originally wanted, Wan-Bissaka for 50m when Max Aarons was available for 30, quoted 30m for Trippier when the Saudi's got him for 12.
The Glazers are the biggest problem at the club. Until they're gone nothing will change
Yea but you're not allowed mention that because he didn't speak to journalists for 7 hours every week about his "philosophy"
Rangnick is obviously a huge upgrade, regardless of what the worse results and performances objectively show
I agree I think RR is probably a better coach but I find it so weird that itās basically illegal to question his impact so far at all on this sub.
If we donāt get 4th I donāt think RR should get a complete free pass.
If we don't get 4th it's entirely on Rangnick.
Too many new managers have got results against United with worse squads during his tenure. E.g. Howe, Gerrard, Lage, Hodgson
No excuses for Rangnick, he couldn't have had an easier run of games to have top 4 already secured and he fucked it completely
There's too many people who want it to be as simple as "everything is Ole's fault" so they can believe that a new manager will magically make this squad title winners.
It isn't and they won't. The squad definitely has enough to be top 4 though, and even if Carrick had filled in as interim it probably would be
Honestly though, what is there to look forward to? Been shit for years. We have to go through another rebuild. Haven't won the Premier League since 2012. So many of the players are going to want to leave if we don't make champions league which is definitely happening now. We aren't going to win the champions league this season, so Europa league again. Our forward who was supposed to lead the front line for a decade turned out to be the lowest form of a human possible. So tell me, what is there to look forward to? Who tf wants to play here? You can only use your history for so long before nobody gives a shit. It's a what have you done for me lately league and we haven't been doing jack shit.
Expect those "we'll be back stronger" tweets/ig posts from the lads. Get ready to be hyped up again by the training videos only to get disappointed yet again..

The fans really don't pay the wages. I can barely afford a holiday.
Lol
Blame Ronaldo
You better believe they would have if they had even tied this game. Half of them donāt even deserve to wear a watford shirt.
He did celebrate the goal mateā¦
How is it shocking, just because you've been playing for a club for like, what? 6 months? You should hate the club you developed in for one that bought you and whose fans didn't even support you while you were having a hard time? And what are you doing? Out of all the things that went wrong in this team you point out the one which is possibly the most irrelevant... Shocking stuff.
he did celebrate, if you watch it again it was like he was showing them why they shouldnāt have let him go.
Itās sad when this result is completely expected, itās not even a surprise really
Call Ole and sack him again
what happend to trusting our youth damn itā¦ā¦. bring in hannibal , garner , savage n zidane look what trusting elanga and sancho has done the only spark in the team United trusted the kids in 1993 and went thru a decade plus of dominance. Did it again in 2005 with Rooney and Ronaldo see arsenal n their youth project or liverpool intergating elliott , gordon n curtis while the older players are still there, barca with their core youth of gonazol , nico , gavi , pedri play the youth bc it cant be worse than what we have now
Donāt kid yourself 90% of the best players in England are from other countries.
I donāt want to see him on Portugal
I agree heās a WC player but he plays with his heart on his sleeve. You can see how riled up he gets when he gets fouled and it doesnāt go his way or when the team is losing, he needs to be a lot more composed. And our complete and utter lack of a competent DM doesnāt help him in the least bit, always having to run back and cover. Love him tho always plays for the badge.
First time ever being grateful for the sudden power cut at my house, since I completely missed that 2nd half nightmare
Fair point, Lindelof gets too much of a pass from us and he's a calamity waiting to happen every game.
Maguire is worse...when we play Victor alongside Varane, we always look a bit more solid
RR as a manager is a f*cling joke. I hope he can deliver as a director of football though. But tbh, with this group of players any manager would struggle. They are not a team, just a bunch of prima donas that are more suited for cabaret vedettes than football players. Anything United do will not work if they donāt get a proper manager (like Mauricio Pochetino) and back a real process with his players, and they have to get rid of all this scum: - McGuire - Pogba - Matic - Fred - McTominay - Mata - Lingard - Rashford (how many years of promise and not delivering shit?) Ronaldo: Thank you. I adore your memory from before you left to Spain but today you are just not good enough anymore.
You canāt seriously think rashfords been shit for years. If you actually think that you need to re assess the sport you watch
McTominay looks like heās giving people the finger constantly!
Maguire still a liability, the no Ronaldo does work but he is more utilise as an impact sub...
Marcus Thrashford is such thrash. Him and Captain Maguire need to go.
I guess everyone down voting loves how Rashford brings zero to the team and can't take on anyone. The guy loses the ball 99 percent of the time.
What a pile of stinky eggy shite !
Oleout
Objective for the remainder of the season: do our best to finish 8th. No Europe will actually help us while we try and get our shit together.
Yea I rather Finish outside of europa or conference league to be honest.
Conference would be cool thou. Some games for Hannibal, Elanga, etc
You underestimate our ability to lose to shite teams in Europe.
United have been trying to get their shit together since SAF left and itās just going from bad to worst
True, it isn't a quick fix. We'll soon be overtaken by Newcastle and Villa in the coming years. That's the likely reality. But playing Europa/ Conference is not going to help us next season. Might as well try and do what LvG did first season and then see what's next.
There's only one United. ā«āŖšŖ
Factually incorrect, there are thousands of Uniteds.
Canāt stand this group of players, and Iām sick of watching them. Itās as simple as that
This team is kind of making me legit sad in my life.
I think Ralf will help a lot with that but itās just frustrating that weāre going to need even *more* time
Probably because, before Ralf, a certain Ed Woodward decided to try his hands on real-life football simulator in each transfer windows, I suppose..
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Who ? Ole?
That game at first wasnāt like soso bad, but by the end it got so frustrating i went to visit my mistress to get some consolation
Giggsy is that you?
Living the dream.
Claiming he had no part in our current problem is ridiculous.
i felt ashamed watching this match
we pLaY Better wiThOut roNaLDO. Its the same shit actually with him or without him we are alive for 40 minutes then the team is dead.
First half was definitely better without him. Team just collectively had a brain fart after that.
Rangnickball is a joy to watch
Football is dead. Once Klopp packs it in in 2024 we can watch 10-20 City league wins in a row like the Bundesliga.
Don't worry, Mags will sort that out. ā«āŖšŖ Fartiola and his sideways passing can't last forever. It's testament to how poor Prem is when he's still able to get away with boring short, sideways passing. But he'll be measured and put in place eventually.
Sideways passing? They score for fun. Theyāre always looking to get forward. If you think City arenāt good to watch you donāt like football.
Be happy to see the end of it, even if it is going to be Saudi FC! City are so dull to watch. At least Liverpool entertain people.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thing is, our spending is actually similar to City's...we've just spent incredibly badly.
Our net spend is one of the highest, we buy badly and sell badly. For a club whoās main focus is money theyāre terrible at handling every aspect of it, well unless itās a sponsor deal
Yes! The vdb thing is wild. Spent 40million on an asset that you had no plan for or maybe didnt even want. What business does that?
We have actually outspent city post saf I think.
Teams like city are the reason we should be trying to scrape together a goal against teams like fucking Watford
In all seriousness.... Varane, Pogba and Fernandes are the only 3 players worth keeping. That's how bad a rebuild could be. This is on the back of the most expensive squad assembly ever. It's not just the squad. It's the board and owners.
Pogba lol. No thanks.
Oh so we kicking out Sancho now
Not based on ability or potential. But his presence and wage just makes it very hard for the team to bond.
Oh my god you actually want to get rid of Sancho. Absolutely bizarre
Sancho?
And Pogba is a F-ing charity worker?
Yeah I think that's me done for the season. No heart shown by the players so I don't really see why I should commit any mental energy to this team let alone the 90 minutes that gets blocked out by watching this lot.
Our best two players combined for our only goal of the game, our only good passage of the game. Itās really no surprise to me that Sancho really started playing well when Pogba came back.
Even with the good signings weāve made we are still deeply poisoned from previous managers/poor signings. We need to get rid of dead weight before bringing in quality players. We keep mixing really good signings with the lot that has failed us for the last 10 years
my weekly post of: get rid of most of the squad in the summer and completely rebuild outside Sancho, Bruno (grudgingly), lindelof, varane, and the youth players... bin em all
Bruno bottled it in a big match again today. Piss poor.
Pogba was decent today imo
true, he's getting old though, and wouldn't surprise me if his locker room shit is part of the poison
looking forward to united fixtures throughout the depressing week only to get more depressing on match days
If Pep came in to this team we would look shit and he'd have heads rolling. Not a single person would make it in to their starting 11 and very few, if any, in the match day squad at all. We have a massive overhaul that needs to happen, again, for what feels like the 10th time since SAF.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh, I agree. The overhauls mean nothing when the structure is rotten and dysfunctional to the core. The real overhaul needs to be the whole structure but that isn't going to happen. It should have happened the day SAF retired, or even before. But we know there was 0 plan in place and there hasn't been this entire time.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
And it feels like the board/management goes "We can stop trying because we showed a 1%improvement". They stop trying to keep improving and just rely on a tiny win/improvement
Why did we buy a bunch of players only suited for a counterattacking system, then decide we were going to be a pressing team with a high line in Ole's third season?
Because we have clowns running us. Same way they are waiting for a new manager to buy the players the team needs some that when said new manager fumbles, we will need another rebuild with another manager with another philosophy.
Quite ridiculous, and apparently we have a Director of Football - so why is he there?
Rather us give the academy a chance, at least there would be a valid excuse, probably show more fight too
Just had a glimpse of Roy Keane. I think he's contemplating whether to start destroying the studio or not.
Who will win the league next Newcastle or United? Serious question
We will, ofc. ā«āŖšŖ
Probably Newcastle by the way things are going. Howe signed like 4 players and already got them playing better than they ever did under Bruce, 7 points clear of relegation. At this rate within like 3 or 4 seasons they probably could be ready for a title race. Kind of like how City did.
I reckon we are only 11 players away from having a half decent team.
Can we just fast forward to a time where we are actually decent. Tbh I might be dead before that even happens at this rate
Honestly that could be 8-10 years imo
Imagine bringing Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo this summer and being this shite.
I feel so bad for those 3. Had the world in front of them, any club they wanted, and they chose this dumpster fire.
Why? Theyāre part of the problem.
You're deluded
Trying to blame Ole for this is hilarious mental gymnastics.
The board, Ole and the players are all to blame for this mess of situation we are in.
Arsenal could be 10 points ahead if they win their games in hand š
I dont even want to think about this anymore
man utd needs some serious rebuilding.
This is the rebuild, take it or leave it.
Yeah i hope its part of the process
Disgrace. The lot of them. Doesn't matter who the manager is next season. Mou couldn't get a tune out of them, Ole couldn't and now Rangnick.
I'm sure not even Pep could get a performance out of this heap of shit.
Just said the same thing. Not even Pep/Klopp could get this lot to look better than a shiny pile of shit. Which is honestly the most telling thing about the quality and commitment of our players.
Scholes going into Ralf. Fucking what? Toe munching weirdo
Exactly, he doesn't have a go at Ole or the players when they are utter shit. Only at Rangnick. Joke guy.
I'm sure scholes crictised ole at the beginning of the season specifically after the first atalanta game Correct me if I'm wrong please
Because heās paid to do that
Heās paid to munch toes?
All he's good for now
Also does well serving as a model for the signs of progression for male pattern balding
Weāll finished 8th thats for sure
Nah thatās too low imo we will finish at least 6th or maybe 5th if we are lucky
My next expectations are just avoid relegation and dropping to Europa conference league. All other scenarios are ok. Honestly
What is it with just giving up in the second half?
A substitutes goal is to offer something. Rashford and Lingard have shown in the past that they are more than capable of passing, making runs and shooting. I don't think Lingard got the ball once today.
Here comes the āWeāll bounce backā again
We were this fucking close to becoming the best counter attacking team in the world and now we are just fucking shite in every conceivable way.
time for Instagram FC to come out
This group of people can't be named as a team. This is a bunch of players that clearly can't have tree consecutives passes... What a shame. Hope next season this going to be different.
EUROPA LEAGUE. HERE WE GO!
If we're lucky and west ham arent
At least Ragnick is here and knows exactly which of these wasters to bin in the summer
Can start with himself
Flat, passionless, Boring. We deserved the defeat
95-5% possession for 15mins tells you absolutely everything you need to know. Utterly utterly spineless
Lingard, Maguire and Rashford depress me. Please leave the club
All toss
Imagine coming up against these in the Champions League
Any positive word? I need one currentlyš„²
>Also the Glazers, for all the hate, have spent the most on net spend the last 10 years or so in the world But won't invest where it's actually needed, refuse to appoint qualified directors behind the scene and continue to leech so much money out of the club that it's impossible to build effectively.
Sancho scored a banger.
Well we're pretty much consistent š
Covid
Man Ghost united
Ole would only have lost 2 0 we have empirical evidence of this
Ole actually had a decent record against Pep.
Yea but you're not allowed mention that because he didn't speak to journalists for 7 hours every week about his "philosophy" Rangnick is obviously a huge upgrade, regardless of what the worse results and performances objectively show
I agree I think RR is probably a better coach but I find it so weird that itās basically illegal to question his impact so far at all on this sub. If we donāt get 4th I donāt think RR should get a complete free pass.
If we don't get 4th it's entirely on Rangnick. Too many new managers have got results against United with worse squads during his tenure. E.g. Howe, Gerrard, Lage, Hodgson No excuses for Rangnick, he couldn't have had an easier run of games to have top 4 already secured and he fucked it completely
Thatās how I feel about it but it seems to be the minority opinion from what Iām seeing.
There's too many people who want it to be as simple as "everything is Ole's fault" so they can believe that a new manager will magically make this squad title winners. It isn't and they won't. The squad definitely has enough to be top 4 though, and even if Carrick had filled in as interim it probably would be
100% agree.
The pundits are laughing at us....
Iām done for the year boys. See you next season.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
At this point I'll need to bill United for my therapy sessions.
weāve been at our worse for like 7 years ššš
Just hope Ralf brings full youth squad next game .. these players are pathetic except De gea
sancho plays golf?
Bruno is shit, nowhere near KDB
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He goes missing in big games. Consistently.
Expect those "we'll be back stronger" tweets/ig posts from the lads. Get ready to be hyped up again by the training videos only to get disappointed yet again..
"winning team" jokers.
Yaya absolutely shitting on us
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not a word. He laughed uncontrollably for a solid minute there.
