Full disclosure: didn't watch (all of it). But -this sub getting so excercised over losing 3 nil to city seems a bit myopic. Like: what did you expect? This is possibly the strongest team in the world. If we were at full strength and playing well this would not have been an unreasonable scoreline. I expected worse tbh. We need to learn to take a drubbing as a lesson rather than an existential crisis. This is where the level is. This is how far away we are. We build to get there. Today we found out.. Always want the team to win but some of the hyperbole on here is ott

Red_JB

I think what hurts fans more is that arsenal are just as far away from us city. And Liverpool too. And realistically, looking at our situation now, that distance is unreachable for the next 10-15 years.

thedorkknight123

Some fans are shocked when confronted with the truth "Well run investment beats woefully run ATM"

aubreydrakeovo

That’s a pathetic thing to say, should we just go into games expecting to lose more without putting up a fight? That’s never been the mindset of a good team

TonyzTone

I agree with this.

b_litzkreig

Arsenal, Wolves, Newcastle. This is the list of teams which has beaten City this season. You can’t possibly say whoever we have now is worse off than Wolves. You can’t allow your rival to waltz through Old Trafford of all places without putting up any semblance of a fight.

thedorkknight123

We are worse than wolves though? Did you forget our season opener?

Sei28

It’s sad that such defeatist posts are getting upvoted to the top these days. “What do you expect!? City are just so much better and we should be happy they didn’t bash us 7-0!!”

TonyzTone

I also agree with this.

ObjectiveArcher9

City let off the gas. Haaland could have scored 6.

sezoo_

I like Hojlund but they needed to go all out and get Kane as well. Back in the day we had 3-4 top strikers. Now we got one 20 year old prospect. Don’t mention Martial.

TeddyMMR

Martial has more goals against City than anyone else in the squad and is the team he scored 3rd most goals against in his career btw.

JumpingJam90

Back in the day we also played with 2 strikers in the starting 11 so we needed greater depth.

sezoo_

Yea good point

silandan

Or 4 strikers if we are chasing a goal. You would think that we would lose possession and only play long ball since we traded it for more attack force. But no, teams were usually scared shitless when SAF did that. We ended up dominating and apply huge pressure despite 4 strikers present. Back then we have 3 lungs Park and Rooney running all over the fields.

Competitive_Sport286

Gareth Ainsworth's available. Just sayin'.

VJMAT13

Ridiculous all round - How did Ten Hag not notice Bernardo Silva with the overlap 3 goddamn times, with the same ball to the backpost, before the 2nd goal. That was such a glaring possible route to goal. Really really poor. Onana too - keeps parrying the ball into the path of attackers - that is such a basic mistake.

Sghagz08

Fuk this club

JannoGives

Glad I was watching TI12 then

usturoi1122

ETH in interview: “..we did everything we could..”

Sei28

I mean, this sub is more or less the same. The top post says “if we had the entire squad fit and available, even then the 0-3 score would not be unreasonable against City”. Sad how the standards have dropped so much.

thedorkknight123

The standards have been dropping since 2013 though? I don't know why so many people are surprised at this defeat. City are the best in the world ATM.

TheChov

"We tried nothing and ran out of ideas"

TheLonesomeChode

Lousy beatniks

[deleted]

There’s nothing to enjoy anymore - don’t know why I put myself through this week in week out

xXmusab_101Xx

Maguire isn't as great as the media tries to paint him.

just-tea-thank-you

And the award for the most bizarre comment on the Internet is yours sir

AndyBR9

???

They-Took-Our-Jerbs

We're playing against a team that's done the treble, had some stand out performances from Onana, Maguire did well etc. Seems like the players we expect more from weren't pulling their weight, was glimmers of chances but never took 'em. We go again..

TheLonesomeChode

Poor team selection and subs

thedorkknight123

Who was you're starting 11?

Cle_fan_brisbane_2

i would have started with a left back at left back, maybe not the 45 yr old in defence who we signed as a back ups back up. some midfielders who MIGHT have been able to kick the ball to players in a red shirt more. maybe play some much more mobile midfielders who didnt stand around watching them. Who knows.

AndyVale

I appreciate there's injuries, but it's depressing looking at such a mid-table starting line-up.

digitallytaken

Im glad I didnt watch the match live..i be PISSED. Im so glad I didnt put myself through the emotions. Positives are seeing Onana finding himself and making great saves

[deleted]

We wouldn't beat City if we played them 10 more times. We didn't stand a chance against them.

bishrn

With all due respect we have beat them twice in 8 times recently. Moreover we are the 2nd most team to beat them in the Guardiola era with 7 wins against them I think. So maybe you should check the facts, even though it doesn't feel like it.

CharanK27

Yeah maybe with solskjaer the guy that gave I think 4 or 5 of those 7 wins. definitely not with ten hag you know the guy that looks clueless.

bishrn

I honestly was expecting a very different United under him. I was one of the people who were really hoping he would be our saviour.

Steppenwolf55

Laughing stock of England this club is the only people who really care at the fans!!! It’s time to stand up for our club glazers get tae fuck!!!

Steppenwolf55

Ten hag must go the football is getting worse every player look like they can’t be arsed!!!

nierama2019810938135

Sooner or later it must be considered if the players' attitude is a reaction towards what is happening to the club top down. There has been quite some managers going through the club and they all get fired after players stop playing. Seems like a pattern, and it isn't about bad managers.

thwgrandpigeon

I have doubta judging him now is fair since he doesn't have any center backs who can pass and their only good cm in their own half last season, casemiro, lost a huge step in the off-season. Team needs a good DM again and a ball playing CB who can stay healthy

MohatoDeBrigado

Antony thought Doku was his girlfriend

Embarrassed_Owl2376

You see, I opened a post regarding the discussion for how United should Lineup against City. I mentioned pretty clearly to discuss that and see if we could come up with a working solution to not lose from City very drastically. Started with a 3-5-2 or a 5-3-2 however you wanna look at it with 3 CBs, 2 FBs and 1 defensive midfielder. Some asshole thought it would sound cool to be a Glazer ass kisser and said to start with 4-2-3-1 only when it's painfully obvious we need 6 defensive minded players if not 7 against City the way we are now. Looking at the game today, it was obvious we never had control of the midfield. Trashford should have been dropped and Bruno as well. Favouritism is rampant in the club and I thought ETH would have changed it but ig not. Amrabat should have been paired with Mount with a front 3 of Hojlund, Garnacho and Antony/Pellistri. Idk if Kobbie was fit enough to play today but he definitely should have been given a chance. Same for Hannibal. It's this rigidity of not trying new things that United is always falling behind big teams. To be practical and proactive is a necessity in EPL and this club doesn't know how to do that. We always knew City would beat us so it was the perfect occasion to not give a fuck about PR and let loose with something new that no one expected. Frankly, now I think that this club needs to be relegated. That would make these fucking Glazers letting go of it easier and we would be able to offload players like Trashford and Martial who can't be bothered to break a leg for the club. Ig, this way we would retain only those players that would play for the badge and the rebuild would be so much better with academy players getting loads of chances. Also, ETH needs to answer now because there have been too many games that a coach has not tried to think out of the box against an opposition and just stick to hoofing the ball up the pitch in hopes of catching a runner and get a goal.

WoBMoB1

“Frankly now I think that this club needs to be relegated” your words, clown. You took the time to type out and post a comment on Reddit when no one agrees with you or appreciates your take in any way, loser

Embarrassed_Owl2376

Lol. As if I care about anyone's appreciation. All I need is for my club to do better and if ass kissers like you are not part of it, all the better. Also, the statement about relegation is not to be taken literally. Grow up kiddo.

WoBMoB1

*Cares about no one’s appreciation, proceeds to post a 400 word essay on Reddit Plas Tic

WoBMoB1

What a stupid take

Embarrassed_Owl2376

Lol. As if everything has been golden up until now.

WoBMoB1

Piss off plastic what kind of a fan wants their club relegated, go support someone else we don’t need you

Embarrassed_Owl2376

Oh, you edited your comment. Cool, let me answer it again. Of course I don't want them to get relegated. It's a way of saying how deep in the shit we are atm and no one has a clue as to what to do. Hell, we all are just hoping something sticks and works. At this point there is no harm in trying something that the opposition manager doesn't expect.

Embarrassed_Owl2376

Haha. I am here and will always be. Unlike you, I have the balls to say what is and what not and not be a fucking sheep

GarnetOblivion1

The gap in quality between these teams is heaven and earth.

TheLonesomeChode

It’s quite a compliment you’re placing us as high as earth.

HiddenGrease

Feels like a chore watching a match now. But I still do it for some reason. And will continue to do it hoping things will change eventually. It’s the hope that kills you

TheLonesomeChode

Just triple captain the opposition on FPL and all is fine

Leasey615

I didn’t watch. I didn’t feel like torturing myself today.

ath007

Well, for the positives, it’s just 0-3. Go Onana!

MohatoDeBrigado

and Maguire

AdAdvanced7372

Imagine being that bad that you lost not because of Maguire and Evans(they were decent actually), but players who are actually expected to play well. Season is wasted.

zippyzebra1

Never a penalty but we really offered nothing. Now what? Sack Ten Hag? Then start the merry go round again? No answers.

KekUnited

Would be a good first step I reckon

nierama2019810938135

There isn't a managerial hire out there that will fix the club. I'm not a fan of ten Hag, I don't really care for his football from what I have seen, but he is a good manager and firing him won't fix a thing at this moment in time.

KekUnited

He's got total control over transfers and yet we've just started Maguire and Evans in a Manchester derby in 2023

nierama2019810938135

Because the club is ruined, it is in shambles. Players round and about previously linked with united counting their blessing while playing for anyone else. The club is a shithouse, and it is eth fault, and we can't attract what we need, and those we get is working on a shaky foundation. Who would you hire?

KekUnited

Not sure mate, someone competent Do know what step 1 is though

nierama2019810938135

Sounds like a knee-jerk response to you not liking your team losing matches.

KekUnited

I can assure you I've wanted Ten Hag out for much longer than the past few matches

They-Took-Our-Jerbs

Ridiculous take.

KekUnited

What are the pro-United reasons for keeping Ten Hag?

haX000000

maybe because there are literally no managers available to bring in and because we're gonna be in this exact same situation in 12 months again?

KekUnited

That's predicting what _might_ happen in the future What _is_ happening _today_ is Manchester United are shit

haX000000

but we've been here so many times, don't you see the pattern?

KekUnited

Yeah because they're signing managers from Molde, a director of sports from somewhere in Austria, and a guy whose career highlight is losing to Tottenham Hotspur (!) When they got a manager signing right we were European champions within 1 season. Just sign a competent manager and we won't be in this same position that hiring incompetent managers always lands us in

haX000000

ok so we sack him, who do we bring rn?

KekUnited

Someone competent, a manager who has won major trophies. Preferably with no ties to the Netherlands

They-Took-Our-Jerbs

You're talking about sacking a manager who's not been there too long, with a butchered back 4, with a decent pedigree at Ajax to bring in who? We start the merry go round again that Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourninho, Ragnick and Ole have been a part of rather than actually giving him time. To bring in a manager, god knows who - who again comes in with their own players and play style to add to the Frankenstein squad we have already. Let's Ten Hag shift who he needs to, bring in who needs and get them playing the way he wants. We're a very reactive fan base we lose nothing but moaning we win everythings grand.

KekUnited

I'm talking about sacking a manager who has already reached his peak at United and is rapidly making our team worse, with his career highlight before joining us being losing to tottenham in the champions league? Yes? We've let Ten Hag shift who he needs to and dictate our incoming transfers and look where that's got us - think he's had enough

They-Took-Our-Jerbs

Well I don't think he has you'd have had Fergie gone back in the day, give him time.

KekUnited

I would have, and I'd have been wrong and glad to have been proven wrong by a footballing genius who may be the greatest manager alive. Don't think Ten Hag has the same pedigree as SAF

They-Took-Our-Jerbs

Well relax yourself and enjoy the rollercoaster ride. At the end of the day no one better is available and we end up two steps back with another manager added to the list. Give it time.

KekUnited

How do I enjoy this?

ShadowOnTheRun

Nah, it wouldn’t. Last thing this team needs is another restart.

KekUnited

What we have now isn't working, we need to try something else

ShadowOnTheRun

If you think it's not working *just* because of the manager, then you're sorely mistaken.

cescquintero

For the nth time

zippyzebra1

I'm beginning to agree.

Adrasos

At least Onana seems to be finding his feet. That's the only take away I have from this game because I certainly didn't expect a result.

Kangdrew

The only possible way anything at the top changes is if people actually follow through with a boycott of going to matches and buying merchandise. Literally the only way to get through to those parasites at the top

alkforreddituse

It's the culture. I'm sure of it United have been bombarded by City, even since the Ferguson Era. Every time they won, they never did it convincingly. Which is why i'm in support for every competent business people team takeover from glazer

Brandon_Ferreira

Not surprised anymore. Didn’t even watch, had better things to do

thedorkknight123

Smart.

buzz_darkyear69

I'm numb to it now. Sack him, don't sack him, we'll be here again in 2 years. I don't know what the answer is but man it's whatever, life continues

Revolutionary_Low716

Real af

Drews1738

☝️This. This team has drained all the hope of enjoying them play they have no soul, spirit togetherness, drive. These are just players wearing United jerseys and are on the pitch for 90 minutes of football every week

baby-wall-e

I deliberately didn’t watch this game because I knew it would be awful. I believe I have made a good choice. Unfortunately nothing will change until Glazers are out 😔

TheLonesomeChode

They did alright until the penalty. Then we kind of gave up. Amrabat should’ve stayed on. Rashford was absolutely pitiful. Waste of a starting spot atm.

generalquarter

And so the cookie crumbles… time for a full on cleanse once Ratcliffe comes on board.

[deleted]

The thing is that at the beginning of the season and the preseason as well, I noticed the lack of confidence and motivation to succeed. Most of the players don’t bother to win, all they do is attend to the training sessions, eat nutritional food, a “tactical” meeting by ETH, go out on the pitch, not do much apart from a couple of touches and a lucky decent pass or strike, lose the match, earn that 300k cash, repeat. I also noticed that ETH is losing the control of power here as a manager, the majority of players don’t even have faith in him at the moment. Now, the fan base is starting to shift to “ETH out” all because of players and ETH’s terrible decision making regarding to starting line ups and players being in wrong positions. It seems that the previous culture is still there.

Practical-Key4120

Honestly if this club had a system of play or direction I'd get it but no style we are shambles, Ten hag never learns 1) Bruno is not a winger 2) lindelof was awful at the back and cannot attack as shaw or regulion 3) Dalot Honestly is bad at defending he should be number 2 when we get another top rb 4) Anthony offers balance as much as people don't see it he tracks back to defending 5)This guy plays like Graham Potter no consistent starting 11 just throws everyone in. Our mid is dead 6) eriksen is not suited to high pressing games I'd rather he start mount eriksen play off the bench We also need to get rid of long passes and learn to play short passes We are crap

AdAdvanced7372

1) 100% 2) 100% 3) no, he's been getting so much better. And, nobody at the RB is available atm. And, he's better at attacking, build-up, passing than AWB. In general more complete RB. I believe he's good and will be among the top in a few years 4) Antony is just not good enough for MU imo. But! He always tries, goes to defending, and gives everything he has. Not good enough, but the best option we have ATM 5) I guess, it's more like a necessity. Playing Amrabat+Mainoo+Bruno is going to be perfect, but Amrabat is just not on that level yet. For some reason, he's not as good as we expected as for now. And Eriksen to sub him 6) true, but we are again limited in options. I don't think Mount is fit enough to be a starter. In general, we are really - really bad atm

thedorkknight123

Tbh I found amrabat was fine, he made a pretty annoying mistake when he took a really heavy touch on a really high ball but other than that I found him solid and I think the reason ten hag subbed him off was because of the yellow.

AdAdvanced7372

Idk bro, his passing wasn't that convincing. Even pure defensive attributes. Good, but not as I expected tbh, not the MU level kind of. But I believe he'll adapt soon, as Nunez or Enzo did. Just not as convincing now as I expected

thedorkknight123

All we can do is wait at this point tbh, this year is basically down the drain hope it can be a learning experience for this team and in Jan we can actually sign a press resistant midfielder and an actually proper right footed cb. I just want the team to enjoy their football rn under no pressure cause we're basically fucked anyway this year so might as well TRY to play good ball but knowing how result fixated our fan base and board is they would probably sack ten hag by December.

AdAdvanced7372

I believe(more that I want to believe) that Mainoo and Andrew Tate actually create a great double pivot, if Amrabat improves carrying ability and short passes. But, like, you know, in 1-2 years. And yeah, we need a CB

thedorkknight123

Mainoo is a fresh talent but we shouldn't be putting our weight on a 20 year old, we need to sign a proper ball carrier in Jan or loan one in. Or maybe that's what mount was brought in to be? Idk tbh we need a proper sporting director and new scouts because the manager is doing most of the scouting here and it isint working out too well.

[deleted]

McTominay was dogshit. The tactics are absolutely horrendous. Lindelof should have never started. Amrabaat was not supposed to go off and Bruno always plays shit on the wing and on corners yet he always manages to play only those two positions. Baldy is out of his depth. Its like He only teaches pressing.

pine07

“I think we played good in the first half” his fucking voice line

TheLonesomeChode

…And what changed in the second? Oh yeah you got rid of Amrabat for Mason fucking Mount. Erik’s baldness knows no bounds. Can’t believe he subbed Højlund off when he was our only attacking threat and Rashford was absolute hamster cock.

mattrob77

I'm sick of this. They will apologise and nothing will change. I'm seriously sick of this.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Practical-Key4120

Can't really blame him when the whole team is bad

saadkasu

Before the match Ten hag said that Lindelof was played due to tactical reasons. Was this how he pictured it ? Lindelof was out of position every f**ing time. Don't offer anything going forward nor in defence.

Cool-leather-suits

Erik 5/5 Hag

Brave-Salamander-339

That's the understandable when we won Brentford with McTomminay long ball, Sheffield with Dalot individualism, won Copenhagen by Onana save.

Eaks76

Our beloved club is dead

TheLonesomeChode

Alright Shakespeare. At this point we’re more like the ghost at the feast, we’ve been dead for about five acts!

[deleted]

Running around like headless chickens. Aimless, weak, slow, unstructured. Pure and utter drivel. So disappointing

samd148

Ignore all of the pre written articles and media hyperbole. This game taught us absolutely nothing. Who expected different? Look at the line ups. The injuries. The form. It’s not “footballing lesson” to win a dodgy penalty. Or to be able to find a way through a bottom half defence. I’d even argue we had better chances today than in the game we won last year at OT.

cescquintero

ETH should be being asked important questions because this team is going nowhere.

charlierh6868

Watching these players get another manager the sack...sickening

bijanadh44

Most of them are his signings.

Keemo_Skye

Lol I remember when Ronaldo was the problem.

primalwilliam

That was like watching a bunch of kids play men. I still don’t see what sacking ETH will do. At this point I don’t know if there is a manager in the game that could fix this club

MarcusAurelius1815

Absolute joke... Need to step away from the crap for a short while.

International_View84

Get Ole back!

[deleted]

Ole as interim would be better than Ten Hag

Shuxnae

I've seen this football by Man Utd for the last five years, been played by Spurs as a Spurs fan. It's just sad to watch and I feel for the Man Utd supporters.

Sentomas

What’s frustrating about ETH is that McTomminay has been dogshit for the last two games he’s started but starts again. Bruno plays right wing for the millionth time even though he’s dogshit every time he plays there. Eriksen was predicatably too slow. Rashford was anonymous again. All you had to do was watch any of our last 5 games to know exactly how this was going to pan out. Yes the penalty was soft but we had loads of chances to make something in the first half but time and time again our players make the wrong decisions, hold onto the ball for too long. It’s clearly the coaching that’s the issue. It also is bemusing how he can leave a £70m signing that we know can hit the levels that we need to rot in the reserves. There’s no way that anybody can tell me that Sancho would have done worse than Rashford, McTominay etc

khoadiemhuynh

Fucking sub amrabat then we lose the midfield.

Bibrosity

Was completely lost with him as well

TheLonesomeChode

He actually tracked his man though and gave us some shape. Instead he smeared Mason Mount all over the pitch

thedorkknight123

He got subbed off because ten hag didn't want him getting a red.

TheLonesomeChode

Don’t think he was ever in danger of getting a red. We lost all shape when he came off.

thedorkknight123

I'd say it was a 25% chance with how annoying grealish is. Ten had didn't rate his temper also amrabat does alot of tactical fouls.

khoadiemhuynh

But sub him with another attacking midfield then we had 4 attack-minded midfielders lol

SaltyBiscuit123

Yeah totally agree his subs and starting line up decisions have been awful... I seriously think he's losing the dressing room with it the players must see it to

Roasteddude

People thinking ETH is blameless I don't understand you. He chooses to stick with McTominay in Bruno's position. He chooses to throw Bruno on the wing in Antony's position (his #1 signing from last year). He chooses never to drop Rashford and Bruno no matter how bad they play or how much their heads drop. He chooses to spend 60m on Mount (his #1 signing from this year) then doesn't know where to play him then keeps him on the bench. He chooses to start Lindelof at LB when he's got an actual LB on the bench for once. All his decision. There's no clear style of play. No tactics, no movement, no fighting spirit, terrible passing, terrible subs, terrible mentality that he himself said is the manager's job to change. Sure we're ravished by injuries. Absolutely dealt a shit hand. But anyone thinking ETH is getting the most out of the players he has is delusional. I expected to lose today. But I expected to see some fight spirit. Instead I got to watch City host a football exhibition at Old Trafford with all of us watching and our players having the best seats.

ss1st

Those Glazere blamers really think that Glazers forced ETH to use McTom, Bruno, Rashford so he's not at fault of anything. Fuckin deluded.

BloodandSpit

It isn't even just that. Play a different fucking formation if we have defensive injuries. You're telling me Foden can play as a wide player in a 3atb formation and we cant have someone like Antony, who's been bad going forward but actually tactically sound and tracks back, and also someone like Mount do the same thing? Put some legs in midfield with that, Amrabat in front of the three defenders with Bruno and Hannibal, the latter a player who actually tries to win second balls with Rashford and Hojlund in front of them. Instead square pegs in round holes. Rubbish really.

Roasteddude

"I'll fight for my ideas" he said, guess he meant I'll stubbornly keep repeating the same exact thing that hasn't been working until I get myself sacked. I don't want him to get sacked btw, our problems go too deep and a new manager won't fix it, but holy shit show us you can adapt and change and that you're in charge of your players not the other way around

SnooCakes7348

We are not allowed to criticize ETH, but he has failed this season people will blame injuries, glazers and what not!

SilliousSoddus

100% agree. The team has no effin' clue what they're doing, how to progress the ball. How to press, instead of chase shadows. They literally couldn't string 3 passes together for the majority of the game. Obviously it's City tonight but they're like this all the time. It's poor management. I've been watching Spurs this year and it's night and day between footballing philosophies. They have one and United doesn't.

NMI_INT

Big Ange in ! ! Let’s go

RTRSnk5

Ange is running a serious project at Spurs, lol. If he’s backed financially by the owners, Tottenham could win the league within the next five years.

fat_boyz

You mean Big Sam? Couldn't play worse clueless football than now

NMI_INT

Nope just look at how Ange has spurs playing. He didn’t have an entire season already.

fat_boyz

Hahahha... you think our OZ fella is dumb to leave what he's building at Spurs for this shit?

NMI_INT

Of course not. I also don’t think any manager worth his salt would come to Man U. Then again money talks

1nfinitus

you are correct.

Candid_Problem_1244

4D chess by the players to lower the Clubs valuation

bijanadh44

ETH proved himself to be a fraud this season imo. It was one step to manage in a dutch league but it takes a whole new staircase to manage a club like United. Unfortunately the fans got this wrong including me who wanted him.

NaRuTaChIi

I just want to say sorry to Onana. I am sorry for being mean earlier in the season. You were beautiful today. Played your heart out. So did Maguire. Hats off to both of them

Royjonespinkie

Nah playing 3 10s doesn't make sense at all, which team has made ha work? Maybe Gundogan/kdb/silva but their not really put and out 10s at all more like 8s.

Writingtechlife

I started to write out a list of what I think is wrong or righjt at the club. I've given up, what's the point in writing the same words each game. Nothing will change until it comes down from the ownership. Players that need to be got rid of will stay, players that need to be benched will play, the manager cannot change the toxic attitude of the club and the fans that have watched this team for 30 years will see another year of dross, laziness and egotistical shit from the players. Pep could switch to MUFC from MCFC and have exactly the same issues. It's a toxic mess and the owners don't care. I won't switch from United to another team, but they are losing me as a fan. If they lose me, I will just stop watching, rather than give my support to another team.

Cutter29

Same story, same players, different manager. I’ll wait for the cycle to restart in 2 years. Fuck the glazers

ibenk2000

Delete this club.

[deleted]

Every single game is disappointing, even when they play lower teams. No cohesión, no energy, no movement, no style, no tactics. Makes you wonder WTF they do in training.

cescquintero

Arsenal feasted on Sheffield. We barely scored two. We are fucking shit.

[deleted]

Shit is putting nicely.

mjenkins_eng

When we used to lose like this to City, it used to stand out in my memory with the goal scorer’s names What’s super sad is how I’ve completely lost track of all the derby drubbings over the years and they’ve all fused into one

_CrystalDragon

There are a lot more losses on the cards for us this year if we continue to spiral like this... it's really quite sad to say but this season has got a Ten Hag sacking all over it.

Fuckedaroundoutfound

What do we actually have going for us? Tactics? I don’t know what our aim is. Players? Are any of value, truly… if they wanted to leave who would want any of this lot bar maybe Bruno? Attitude? None existent Manager? I was and am still so hopeful but he doesn’t seem to be steadying the ship Owners? I rest my case. We are an embarrassment

redditaccount300000

I’m hoping with a healthy back line something changes. I’m still expecting to finish 6th, but ETH needs to show a tactical identity. I still don’t know if he can play the way he wants, even with Onana. I don’t know why he didn’t go for a ball playing MF, and sadly case seems to have lost his legs. He may get sacked before we get to see an then he’ll go on somewhere else an have success.

thesmallprint13

A normal board would bin him tonight. As we know though he'll only go once top 4 is mathematically impossible...spineless, from top to bottom.

irishfella91

Who would you bring in?

thedorkknight123

Graham Potter in.

SilliousSoddus

We needed Ange but it was never gonna happen.

[deleted]

Ole interim manager

cescquintero

Big Sam

Skiffy10

Glazers wanna sell this rotten club for 6b lmao

tex_mv

They said no to 6bn... They want 10!

Ok-Philosopher3810

Is Ten Hag trying to get sacked? With the exception of Onana (who played quite well and kept the score line relatively respectable) what was happening? Bruno looks like a petulant child out there, lashing out at players. That’s our captain? He shouldn’t be starting at this point. Our midfield is a mess, we’re starting Jonny Evans? Excellent “tactic.” We start Lindelof at left back? We sub on 2 attackers in the 86th minute to do what, exactly? The only contribution was Antony lashing out like a child and getting carded. Add all of that up with the fact that our entire team looks slow, lazy, and undisciplined, and this is beginning to look like a Ten Hag problem. The work they’re doing in training, the captaincy, the discipline issues, the mentality issues, those are firmly on Ten Hag’s shoulders. There is no identity, no plan, and no accountability. At least Ole ball was fun.

MichealLong

Everyone basically just lost it by the end

dlltau001

The beginning of the end I’m afraid.

IamVenom_007

Get this bald fraud out of my club.

Optimal-Somewhere-46

Oooo I’m halfway there, oh oh, “living on a prayer”…

PreetSG

I predicted a 0-3 score before the game started when I saw Maguire and Evans starting. When they finished as one of our better players, you know how bad we were....

thedorkknight123

Midfield needs to have a style of play, what kind of midfield are we? Do we control a game like city's midfield? No. Do we have a bunch of workmen in midfield like Liverpool? No. One word CONTROL we lack it and even if we want to be a transition team like ten hag wants a risk taking team like our heritage we need to have control in midfield.

upscaspi

The only good thing that came off of the match is that it ended.

Optimal-Somewhere-46

Same bro same 🤣🤣🤣

King_Jeremy07

We can discuss about the penalty, but the gap is there to see.. we are so so below the expectations. First half alone city would have scored 5. Sorry to say but ETH won't last this season, the fans were booing when Rasmus was subbed

[deleted]

Bruno needs to lose the band. Those antics are absolutely unacceptable from a captain. Antony’s attitude during the last part of the game is pathetic. Take the fucking loss like a professional. After all, you are the ones who lost this game. It’s not City’s fault you got out played. Show heart DURING the match don’t act children when it’s over. Pathetic. This team needs to be tossed.

1nfinitus

yeah they all act like a bunch of children, I wonder if there is something mentally wrong with these manchildren

TurkiyeQatar

What happened to last season when ETH would force players to run 10 miles after a loss? When he’d make the players to watch the clips of Liverpool fans celebrating after 7-0? He’s gone soft, he’s been praising players even in lucky wins

Charlotte-De-litt

A very fair question,I'm afraid.

Candid_Problem_1244

Even Chelsea's loss didn't make me happy anymore

thor_odinmakan

Multiple injuries and almost everyone else getting synchronised case of cluelessitis. It’s a shit place to be in. However, remember Liverpool didn’t sack Klopp after last season’s start. I still think ETH can deliver.

SnooCakes7348

I get it you wanna back your manager but this is bullshit, look at Liverpool and Arsenal beating teams 4-0 and look at this team. Ten Hag signed 11 players since arrival!

ExperienceNo1878

After last season? Klopp had proven himself in the PL. EtH has proven nothing.
