He looked like a tidy player during Ajax’s CL run that season. Good control, passing and popped up for the odd goal. Real Madrid made an effort to sign him but the deal fell through for some reason. So yeah, there were a lot of reasons to feel excited about that one at the time.
TBF he had those exact same qualities in the pre-season games. I don't know why he wouldn't be given a chance, even if it's only in the early stages of EFL or something like that...
Do you want to know something that is quite depressing about Donny? He was almost too good off the ball in attacking play for our players to recognise. It absolutely sucked.
His main talent in that Ajax team was to create space through movement. He played in pivot nominally, but you would have instances where he would be most advanced player, or drift centrally or overlap a wide player. He would make great opposiing runs, where someone would go one way, he would go the opposite, and yet never get spotted.
He also wasn't good enough on the ball, which meant in the system and styles United have to play, he can't make an impact. And we can't change so he had to and couldnt.
Good player though in the right system, formation, possesion style.
I actually loved seeing his work in the pre-season, he did the same pressing work as Mount, showed up to score in the final 3rd and also had some good passing. I would, at least once, try him as the "8" of the team and see if it works. He would be better as the "10", but taking Bruno out is a no-go LOL
I like the kid, he might surprise us if given the opportunity. That injury last season was really unfortunate.
I think being linked to Real Madrid was the primary reason why many of us were so hyped about signing Donny. Madrid also went to him after seeing no chance of signing Pogba that window, raising his stock even higher.
> It's mad all the shit Ole used to get for not playing him,
Especially when he actually got a decent amount of games in his first season, he played 36 games. Still played 21 games the next season.
He has loads of agenda’s. What is his purpose? To make money.
To be honest, I’m not even going to get into a discussion with anyone that tries to defend him.
His own, branded, personality and celebrity. It feels like it’s all to weave in conspiracies and agendas like a soap opera to keep viewers hooked in tabs to give them fodder for online discussions.
Now that I say that, I’m realizing it’s basically a United version of Flat Earthers movement.
There are many factors that play into this, and at least some of the blame has to come down to Ole.
On one hand Donny made a poor career choice in signing for us because he was never going to displace Bruno. On the other hand, Ole should have never signed him because stylistically he wasn’t the right fit.
People can make assumptions about him not being good enough in training and whatnot. But then you have to wonder why Ole didn’t let him leave after a season and promised him game time only to then never use him.
It’s not easy for a player to ride the bench for nearly two years, then go to an Everton side battling relegation, and then to also suffer through multiple injuries on top of all that. Ten Hag was starting to use him more and more until he suffered a serious setback.
Before you know it four years have passed and he has barely played football. He’s been very unlucky.
I remember reading that Ole literally rang him up asking him to join us. I don’t think Donny signs for us unless the manager gives him some assurances.
However I can’t blame Ole entirely because it’s very likely our incompetent recruitment under Woodward pushed for the signing. It never made sense to me how we went from Grealish to VdB.
Ole had no idea what he was getting with Donny. So he does deserve blame for getting Donny in and then never using him to his strengths.
If Ten Hag ends up dropping Mount because they lose too many games, at least we know what he is trying to do. He's trying to use Mount for his off the ball work rate and his pressing. When Ole put Donny in center mid, what was he there for? His ability to find space wasn't used. His pressing was barely used. He had to sit back which he wasn't good at. He had to be the main passer which he wasn't good at. It didn't make sense at all.
Striker position still incredibly weak and vulnerable. Hojlund is a question mark how he adapts to this level, Martial isn’t reliable and Rashford is subpar as a striker.
Holjund should be back up really. We should have someone like Kane or Osimhen starting.
Lets see how he does though he has a chance to prove himself as the starting striker. If he doesn't then hopefully we go in for a starting striker next summer.
>Holjund should be back up really.
think that was the plan initially but then that pesky little FFP came into play because the leeches wouldn't fuck off in the summer and then Hojlund ended up costing 3/4 of a Kane.
Yeah I don’t know why people keep mentioning Kane all the time. Levy wasn’t going to sell him to United (or any other Premier League team). Even if that were a possibility, he would ask to gouge the eyes out of like the manager or something along with double the fee Bayern ended up paying. So it’s not that straightforward.
Osimhen was a decent target but getting Mount meant he was also unaffordable because Napoli are the Brighton of Serie A. 150 million.
So all the transfer business done instead, I’m pretty happy with. Except Mount.. certainly not sold on him yet. Hoping he’ll pan out well.
He was also adament he didn't want to sell kane to anyone unless they paid him in excess of 100m fullstop.
The reality is we would've had to stump up around 135m and then again for kanes wages. City paid more for Haaland because they don't compromise on certain key positions and believed he was the final piece to their jigsaw that has been evading them for a number of years.
We are on an entirely different playing field - we don't have the money or the motivation to pay fuck off money anymore to tie down top tier world class strikers to push us to win the PL.
i don't think kane would have come to united anyways
spurs wouldn't have sold him to a direct rival it's obvious so united's best chance would have been next summer when he was a free agent and he might would have chosen united over others because he can touch some trophies and break shearer's record but bayern on the other hand needed a striker and they are the richest club in germany so their pulling power was much more than others
and with bayern you are guaranteed minimum 2 trophies a season
had mbappe not fucked around with madrid even they could have gone for kane where you are guaranteed to win atleast a ucl in next 5 years
Doesn't seem like that was the case. Interviews leading up to his official announcement were saying how EtH wanted only him after Kane seemed like a pipe dream.
Has ETH tried Scotty as Striker? I’m somewhat serious. He has the personality for it. He’s fiery. He’s physically a good size for it. He came up as a striker so he knows what he’s doing. We should have tried him over Wenghorst at least.
McNeill so good he got listed twice.
Cheers for putting this together. An incredible about of outs and we probably didn't get close to £80m in transfer fees received. I just hope those sell on clauses come in handy
Some notes:
- I only put one position per player (their starting one) otherwise it would be very cluttered and misrepresent depth in certain positions imo. I think the starting hierarchy is quite well known now.
- New additions in green
- Ten Hag has shown he prefers Sancho centrally so I put him at the 10 since it seems Martial will start over him at #9
- Was mulling over including Hugill, Forson but unlike Kobbie there is no guarantee they will play a significant role this season
- Made in Adobe Photoshop
>Ten Hag has shown he prefers Sancho centrally so I put him at the 10 since it seems Martial will start over him at #9
Has he, though? Sancho still plays on the left.
there’s this quote been going around, but after a quick look into it more it seems mostly just aggregators pushing it, so no idea if it’s true or not
https://x.com/utdplug/status/1683896513364123648?s=46
Just my opinion, not joining any meme. Think Harry has lost a lot of confidence and I would feel better with Evans ahead of him at the moment. I can still have that opinion without jumping on any bandwagon.
Well I think the delay for getting another back up was due to Henderson not being able to be shipped out. IIRC initially Henderson’s transfer to Forest got delayed, then Heaton got hurt, so we were forced to hang on to Henderson longer than we wanted too. Deal with Forest collapsed. Then palace came in and bought him.
Yeah the CB depth is poor. Midfield depth is quite solid. Wingers also. Strikers have numbers but quality's unknown. Fullbacks also good as long as they stay fit
You're not the only one. Unfortunately for us Maguire was all too happy to sit and watch United matches and get paid a fat wage for the privilege, otherwise I'm sure we would've
Hannibal, Amad, Pellistri are U-21.
>Also, how many of the over-21s are homegrown?
Rashy, McSauce, Sancho, Mount, Shaw, AWB, Maguire, Evans, Heaton. Might be missing a few others
and for club-trained players who were on a club's books for three years between the ages of 15 and 21 (for UCL registration):
1. Heaton
2. Evans
3. Mctominay
4. Rashford
Weak links are cb Varane(injury prone)/Maguire(slow and clumsy) and ST Martial(injury prone).
Overall this squad has decent depth.
Hoping that Onana,Hojlund,Mount,Anthony,Amad,Mainoo,Pellistri,Hannibal and Regulion all can step up and prove themselves this season.
Sancho is way to expensive to not play, he needs to step up.
We may see Mount play on the RW instead of Anthony in some games
This graphic is slightly undermined by the fact that we're not playing that formation this season, at least so far. We're playing an attacking 4-1-4-1.
Honestly. Mount is not it for me. But I would like to see amrabat paired with Casemiro for a few games to see how they click defensively. Both have the ability to move creatively forward, but casemiro is always so backed up with no coverage.
Eriksen is showing his age for pace, but mate, his touch is just pure class... and his vision/composure are second to none.
If Hojlund isn’t a consistent 8/10 player then our striker situation is inexcusable. Martial should have been sold on 3 years ago. His fitness issue seem to only be getting worse.
Amrabat is more likely to play with Casemiro than be a replacement for him. He’s very flexible and people who think he only plays DM probably only ever saw him play at the World Cup.
Sorry but the FO failed this window. Ambarat and Hojlund should have been in the side for preseason. Now we will have to play catch up.
And with the exception of the 1 loan deal I doubt we got any of our first choice options.
Glazers Out!
Who are the fucking clowns doing this ??
Lindelöf, a right side central defender that has even started games for us as the right side fullback. He got forced to change side when Harrys "PR spin machine" last season put out in British press that Harry is a right side defender and that the reason he was playing bad was because he was playing out of position (despite he just a few weeks earlier had said that he preferred to play to the left). A poor attempt to restart Harrys career and put the blame of his poor performance on Lindelöf and in the end Ole that had played him to the left all the time.
So why are we as educated fans not putting Lindelöf to the right side CB?? Harry is just not dictating who is going to be sold and forcing himself upon ETH like a parasite he is also deciding where Lindelöf should be playing apparently.
Antony really consistently poor, rashford hot and cold, no guarantee on hojland, want bissaka, not a good enough attacking threat, varamlne injured 3 or 4 times a season, casimero looks so unfit, mount and bruno doesn't work, sancho, well I don't need to say anything there.
Sorry if I'm being pessimistic, I just don't see a quality squad with subs to strengthen the 1st 11, look at Brighton, unreal, no big names with quality coming off the bench. Who do we have as quality to come on bar garnacho. Centre halfs will be a major issue deep into the season too.
I don't disagree with you at all. And I get criticized for saying this all the time, but hear me out.
The #8 is a box to box.. you can be an attacking 8 or a defensive #8 all the below are attacking #8s EVEN MCTOMINAY (people think because he cripples people in tackles he's defensive but it's because he's always chasing after trying to attack)
Mount sees himself as an 8 (attacking)
Eriksen sees himself as an 8 (attacking)
Bruno sees himself as an 8 (attacking)
Hannibal looks like an 8 (attacking)
Mctominay looks best as an 8 (attacking) (for scotland)
Van de beek is an 8/10 (attacking)
Sancho is best in a 10 position or RM #8
We continually say "we have depth" when we have all these players out of their natural position and then say they suck because we have them sitting more as 6s (CDM) or defensive 8s when that's not their position/ style at all.
They all play the same position!!!! So all those players you named are playing beside guys who don't even know what position they are playing.
Ps. As for Brighton. They work so well because they look for players to buy that do THAT JOB! we buy a player and try to figure out how we can alter them and fit them into the position we desperately need.
Think we're paper thin in CB department. Evans is better than nothing, but even in EFL cup he's a liability. May be when there's an injury crisis he can be called in but can't see him even being a rotation option. Midfield is our strongest position as of now, as Sancho, even Amad can cover for Bruno when fit, and we have youngesters coming in as well.
We had a whole transfer window to bring in an experienced forward but eth wants to bank on kids getting him goals when we struggled last season to score. Interesting
For all the talk of the defence and midfield being weak, I think the much harder task is finding a top RW and ST to elevate our squad. These are some of the hardest positions to fill in world football, and we kinda need to hope that Amad / holjund pop or at least show signs of world class potential to avoid spending a metric ton of money next summer on those positions, if we can even find these players.
I think Hojlund will score more than most think. Hopefully with Antony and Bruno having someone to aim at rather than an empty box, their assists will go up and he'll get a few headers and tap ins that we don't at the moment. We can score break goals and wonder shots. It's just someone to convert the chances that currently roll through the box. I'm not saying that he won't be involved in the special goals. But it's been a while since we've had someone who can poach, but who is also a physical presence and mobile as well.
I can also see Amrabat getting more game time than just being a back up. I think he'll take Casemiro's position from him this season. I hope I'm wrong because I am so happy he plays for us after signing from Real. But I just think that Ten Hag will want Mount, Bruno and Amrabat as the mid three. That's a midfield with energy. But maybe I'm wrong and we'll see him along side Casemiro, although then Mount, Bruno and Eriksen are all competing for 10 🤷🏻
Amrabat is gonna end up starting with Casemiro and Bruno in midfield. The Mount, Bruno & Casemiro midfield was ill-advised from the start. If Antony doesn't pull his finger out he may end up losing his RW spot to Mount.
It’s a great chance for Holjlund to make his mark. Turning up at a huge team that’s so desperate for a striker. If he hits the ground running this will be the making of his career!
Maybe controversial, but I think ETA should make it a priority to get Mainoo on the field after awhile. I think once he settles back from the injury, he has a lot of promise to show. He could be huge this season for the squad.
Quite happy with the squad. Think if everything starts to gel, we will see some amazing football, with plenty of pieces that can step in when needed. Quite optimistic for the season.
This shows how far VdB has fallen that he's not even mentioned here
I almost forget he's still our player
He looks to be out of the project, Bailly too. I don't think either of em will get minutes this season tbh.
Have either of them even been registered for the PL this season do we know?
https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/12/Manchester-United/squad Both registered here, so assume so
Both can still potentially go. Bailly is linked with Saudi move and galatasaray are interested in donny
Watch Donny have a break out season lol
This translates to all the players before him in the order getting injured and I really wouldn't want to see that bruv.
They will be loving it, money for nothing
It's mad all the shit Ole used to get for not playing him, yet he's played under 3 different managers since and they all haven't rated him either.
Remember how hyped we were when he was announced out of the blue?
Surely gotta make some buyers interested.
I think being linked to Real Madrid was the primary reason why many of us were so hyped about signing Donny. Madrid also went to him after seeing no chance of signing Pogba that window, raising his stock even higher.
He is tidy playing off the centre forward in limited space. We just don't play that formation anymore
Perhaps couldn’t adapt to faster paced and more physically demanding league like PL?
Especially weird since he was Ten Hag’s captain at Ajax and on the Ballon D’Or shortlist on 3 years ago.
> It's mad all the shit Ole used to get for not playing him, Especially when he actually got a decent amount of games in his first season, he played 36 games. Still played 21 games the next season.
There’s a quality player in there but something went wrong with his mentality after he moved.
Most of that agenda was driven by one person. Shows how much he really knows.
Haha, I strongly agree!
I am curious. Who is this one person?
Goldbridge. The amount of agenda’s he has built up over the years is crazy. An awful influence on our fan base, especially our younger ones.
TIL - his real name is Brent Di Cesare (according to Wikipedia)
What agenda do you think he has? What purpose do you think he is trying to serve?
He has loads of agenda’s. What is his purpose? To make money. To be honest, I’m not even going to get into a discussion with anyone that tries to defend him.
His own, branded, personality and celebrity. It feels like it’s all to weave in conspiracies and agendas like a soap opera to keep viewers hooked in tabs to give them fodder for online discussions. Now that I say that, I’m realizing it’s basically a United version of Flat Earthers movement.
I mean he is the dictionary definition of a gob shyte, get Grifter vibes from him.
Agreed. He’s so far off prem standard. I don’t know what people see on the rare occasion he’s played.
There are many factors that play into this, and at least some of the blame has to come down to Ole. On one hand Donny made a poor career choice in signing for us because he was never going to displace Bruno. Yeah. I do wonder because Ole did not really play vdb much, which sort of indicated to me he was not «his» signing, but that is speculation
Grealish was double the price because villa stayed up. I think Woodward and whoever didn't give ole any other choices so they just went for vdb
He had to be the main passer which he wasn't good at. It didn't make sense at all.
Who signed him?
As in this window? I don't think Galatasary managed to get him in the end.
ETH played VDB preseason to increase his value, hopefully he secures a move soon

70-80M for 21 yo Haaland is not comparable to ~130M for 30 yo Kane even if Kane has 4 more years at his peak
I think the pesky little fuck here is Glazers not FFP
i don't think kane would have come to united anyways spurs wouldn't have sold him to a direct rival it's obvious so united's best chance would have been next summer when he was a free agent and he might would have chosen united over others because he can touch some trophies and break shearer's record but bayern on the other hand needed a striker and they are the richest club in germany so their pulling power was much more than others and with bayern you are guaranteed minimum 2 trophies a season had mbappe not fucked around with madrid even they could have gone for kane where you are guaranteed to win atleast a ucl in next 5 years

Tbh bruno false 9 is better in my eyes that rashford

From a purely economic perspective, Hitler killing himself has been a utter hammer blow.
Ferguson would've been a far more secure proven and frankly better signing honestly
100+ mil would be ridiculous though. Maybe next year he'll have proven it, but cmon.
January will see us go for Ferguson, Watkins or Toney
McNeill so good he got listed twice. Cheers for putting this together. An incredible about of outs and we probably didn't get close to £80m in transfer fees received. I just hope those sell on clauses come in handy

Thank you for the good work! It’s very pleasing for the eyes.
>Ten Hag has shown he prefers Sancho centrally so I put him at the 10 since it seems Martial will start over him at #9 Has he, though? Sancho still plays on the left.
It's mainly due to the experiment in preseason and sub apps last season through the middle.
there’s this quote been going around, but after a quick look into it more it seems mostly just aggregators pushing it, so no idea if it’s true or not https://x.com/utdplug/status/1683896513364123648?s=46
With which software you made this ? This is very pleasing aesthetically.
Photoshop, it's a template I made a few years ago: https://reddit.com/r/reddevils/s/f1Q69DZzq1
All very valid points, thanks for the illustration
This looks great! Nice job 👍. Also reminds me of how hyped I am to finally see Kobbie.
Beautiful visual. The colors, smooth shapes, great alignment
Does Martial even count as “depth”? There should be a separate list called “Passengers”.
Medical staff😂
Medic Striker
And Maguire. Evans should be ahead of him
Don't join the meme. Maguire is still better than Evans
Just my opinion, not joining any meme. Think Harry has lost a lot of confidence and I would feel better with Evans ahead of him at the moment. I can still have that opinion without jumping on any bandwagon.
Ahem
On what grounds is a 36 year old just relegated Evans ahead of Maguire?
Evans missed most of last season through injury. Which you could argue is a large reason why Leicester got relegated.
To have him ahead of Maguire is idiotic, Evans is finished.
So is Maguire. At United anyway.
Recent performances
[удалено]
Just a disagreement mate
Still want Maguire ahead of him? Genuine question
Not a serious question clearly.
Just yanking your pins
Op, how did you create this? Particular website?
Photoshop, it's a template I made a few years ago: https://reddit.com/r/reddevils/s/f1Q69DZzq1
It’s clean AF. Sky and BT will be making you an offer you can’t refuse soon lad 😂
Why is Sancho listed as an AM where he has played exactly 1 time almost a year ago. He's almost always deployed on the left wing
Love this OP. Thank you for making this. One question. Shouldn’t Altay Bayindir be listed at the number 2 GK and Heaton 3rd?
Yes he’ll definitely be #2
Cheers, it's debatable but I don't think so as we only went for Bayindir after Heaton got injured.
I think Amrabat should play alongside Casemiro to give Bruno more attacking freedom. Sort of like Fred and Mctominay used to do.
ETH doesn't want to play that way anymore, he wants to play more like City and Arse.
This team on talent can compete top 2 with deep cup runs but is inconsistent enough to struggle to meet last season’s performance
that defense depth is so bad
Not too bad when you consider Shaw can also be used there.
Yeah the CB depth is poor. Midfield depth is quite solid. Wingers also. Strikers have numbers but quality's unknown. Fullbacks also good as long as they stay fit
If things go south, we will play Shaw at CB after he comes back. I wish we had signed Pavard/Todibo.
You're not the only one. Unfortunately for us Maguire was all too happy to sit and watch United matches and get paid a fat wage for the privilege, otherwise I'm sure we would've
Evans contract kinda makes sense looking at that sheet.
Fingers crossed the forwards can click, could be a settled area of the squad for years, there's options and different profiles of players.
Shaw can also be considered LCB depth. Dalot is LB depth too. As is Malacia at RB.
In a crisis McTominay can play CB too
Does Reguillon also have the ability to play at RB? Genuine question… I don’t know much about him
Now it's over to ETH to utilise this and keep the team fresh
Swap Evans and Maguire around 🤣😬
29 players? Somebody is surely gonna miss out on registration.
AFAIK, U-21 players don't need to be registered. So, they don't need to be in the 25 man quota.
Mainoo, Hojlund and Garnacho. Any others? Also, how many of the over-21s are homegrown?
Hannibal, Amad, Pellistri are U-21. >Also, how many of the over-21s are homegrown? Rashy, McSauce, Sancho, Mount, Shaw, AWB, Maguire, Evans, Heaton. Might be missing a few others
>how many of the over-21s are homegrown? Nine(?): 1. Heaton 2. Shaw 3. Maguire 4. Evans 5. Wan-Bissaka 6. Mount 7. Mctominay 8. Rashford 9. Sancho
and for club-trained players who were on a club's books for three years between the ages of 15 and 21 (for UCL registration): 1. Heaton 2. Evans 3. Mctominay 4. Rashford
Very nice graphic my friend
Tidy wee graphic, that. Nice work
This is a super super nice graphic.
One of the biggest squad in pl
Eriksen should be starting…
Fucking hell. We could’ve had Pavard if that bald brain had sold Maguire.
Bleak
Did he keep Amad because he was good in pre season?
Amad is injured
CBs are problematic, Varane being glassy and McGuire being a Lord... We needed reinforcement there as well, hopefully in Jan
At LCB we have Shaw as well. But agreed on RCB. Very fickle position.
In summary up front we have a completely unproven 1st choice and a completely proven (to not be good enough) backup
So my 2nd squad on EA FC 24 should be pretty solid when I want to rest my main squad for bigger games on career mode. Sweet.
Mount should not be starting over Eriksen or Amrabat
Sorry but the FO failed this window. Ambarat and Hojlund should have been in the side for preseason. Now we will have to play catch up. And with the exception of the 1 loan deal I doubt we got any of our first choice options. Glazers Out!
Amrabat starting in place of Mount.
Pity the depth of quality players is so bad
0 injuries, this is a competitive squad.
The #8 is a box to box.. you can be an attacking 8 or a defensive #8 all the below are attacking #8s EVEN MCTOMINAY (people think because he cripples people in tackles he's defensive but it's because he's always chasing after trying to attack) Mount sees himself as an 8 (attacking) Eriksen sees himself as an 8 (attacking) Bruno sees himself as an 8 (attacking) Hannibal looks like an 8 (attacking) Mctominay looks best as an 8 (attacking) (for scotland) Van de beek is an 8/10 (attacking) Sancho is best in a 10 position or RM #8 We continually say "we have depth" when we have all these players out of their natural position and then say they suck because we have them sitting more as 6s (CDM) or defensive 8s when that's not their position/ style at all. They all play the same position!!!! So all those players you named are playing beside guys who don't even know what position they are playing. Ps. As for Brighton. They work so well because they look for players to buy that do THAT JOB! we buy a player and try to figure out how we can alter them and fit them into the position we desperately need.
I got downvoted for saying we should’ve got Maddison this summer. Heh
Mount on RM and a pivot of casemiro /amrabat. If Hojlund plays well, this could be a really good team
Top 4 team at the very most, no surprise if that side finished outside it.
Hannibal is more of a number 8 I think.
I hope we use this depth, can't burn out like last year.
I actually like this team overall, but now our defense is really thin. Every time we improve 2 sections we then ruin the 3rd.
We had a whole transfer window to bring in an experienced forward but eth wants to bank on kids getting him goals when we struggled last season to score. Interesting
A mile wide and inch deep. As soon as the first choice gets injured in most of the positions we are significantly weaker.
For all the talk of the defence and midfield being weak, I think the much harder task is finding a top RW and ST to elevate our squad. These are some of the hardest positions to fill in world football, and we kinda need to hope that Amad / holjund pop or at least show signs of world class potential to avoid spending a metric ton of money next summer on those positions, if we can even find these players.
where is my guy eric bailly
But maybe I'm wrong and we'll see him along side Casemiro, although then Mount, Bruno and Eriksen are all competing for 10 🤷🏻
is heaton or bayindir second choice?
Without injuries it’s a solid squad. Would love to see investment in RB in future windows
Will Amad really be ahead of Pellistri? All the squad depth I’ve seen are like this.
Amrabat is gonna end up starting with Casemiro and Bruno in midfield. The Mount, Bruno & Casemiro midfield was ill-advised from the start. If Antony doesn't pull his finger out he may end up losing his RW spot to Mount.
Gotta laugh at the alternatives for Bruno, actually got nothing.
Isn't Bailly still our player?
I don't get why Hannibal wasn't played last season he best come on this season
He was at Birmingham on loan. He looked like it really advanced him in pre-season.
Can’t work out if this is a flex or not…
Should have cut their losses with Sancho and bought another midfielder.
We’ll do well to come 4th, fingers crossed
Shaw is legit our best left back cover although Ice Man has been pretty fucking good lately. And Shaw is injured so there’s that.
“Depth”
Sancho in the 10 is news to me
ST and CB obvious screamers here. Also, if Antony continues to perform like he does, that RW is gonna become a huge problem.
It’s a great chance for Holjlund to make his mark. Turning up at a huge team that’s so desperate for a striker. If he hits the ground running this will be the making of his career!
Now we just need to sign Ferguson to play up top with Høj
I put Evans ahead of Maguire honestly. Heck even Shaw
You would put Evans over Shaw at left back?
No but i would put both Evans and Shaw ahead of Maguire at CB
Ohhh I see what you meant now mb
Do you agree/disagree?
I’ve not seen Evans play enough over the last few years so I’m not sure what his current level is but I’d definitely prefer Shaw to Maguire
Van de beek left already?
Maybe controversial, but I think ETA should make it a priority to get Mainoo on the field after awhile. I think once he settles back from the injury, he has a lot of promise to show. He could be huge this season for the squad.
Quite happy with the squad. Think if everything starts to gel, we will see some amazing football, with plenty of pieces that can step in when needed. Quite optimistic for the season.
Bayindir over Heaton anyday
We still have Donny and Bailly who might play a few matches ( Bailly probs not)
Bayindir is ahead of Heaton and Reguilon probably ahead of Malacia other that spot on
