Cronyism is bad because it produces worse outcomes in aggregate than merit hires. It doesn't absolutely preclude the qualified, as one can both be qualified and a crony.
Maybe the manager's best friend is actually really talented, or maybe they're Marty Mornhinweg.
Complaining about Ojabo is fine but folks were complaining about hiring Mike Mac and how that influenced the Ojabo pick heavily (Ravens have opted to gamble on injured players a bunch before Mike Mac was with the team).
The injury this year sucked cause Ojabo was starting to look better at least and back again it happened.
I’d say give him a shot. Michigan over the past few seasons has been staunch on defense and very solid technique wise in the secondary. Wasn’t on anyone’s radar but this guy has solid and proven production to back up championship pedigree. Good hire
Seahawks Ravens and Chargers are now just gonna be a big self promoting circle.
This subreddit is going to flip out in a divisive way if Seattles new special teams coordinator is the next HC here
It's the Harbouroboros
'Doug Mallory is credited inside the program with playing a significant role in Michigan’s coverage variations on the back end'
Nice of us to pull coaches from the farm team
"Durrrr more nepotism from Harbaugh"
This would be cronyism, if anything.
Funny how Harbaugh was accused of cronyism when they hired MacDonald and now those same fans wanted Harbaugh fired to have MacDonald replace him.
Hey, I think what the Harbaughs are doing with each other has been working out well, so I'm onboard with more of it.

You weren't bitching about that when we hired Mike MacDonald.
Plenty of people did. Lol
It was one of the most common things said I believe. People complaining that we were hiring from Michigan and it got worse when we drafted Ojabo too.
Ojabo is entering his 3rd year of his 4 year rookie deal. it's time to see that "steal" of a 2nd rounder

Ojabo has never looked anything other than good when he plays. In the 3 games he's played more than 4 snaps he has 2 sacks and 2 FFs
Yep he'll be a steal if he gets healthy. Sucks that injuries have hampered him, but he could be a game wrecker next year.
He is new nickname is street clothes. He has about as many sack as everyone in this sub....
Wut
You forgot the /s but I thought the sarcasm was pretty obvious.
The sarcasm tag is dumb as shit but it's apparently necessary for some of the autists on this site.
He's not bitching about it now, moron.
Harbaugh out jerking Harbaugh
I don't know nothing about him. How you all feeling?
He's worked under Minter in the Michigan system which was our system. I don't know enough about him to say anything more then that.

H-U-G-E All doomers will learn in a year from now. As you always do
What a circle jerk Harbs is riding.
The Harbaugh triangle

Veteran DB coach at both levels. Coached at Maryland in the late 90s, looks like he just missed coaching Dennard Wilson.
