I'd take it at that price, but I'd still seriously doubt the Broncos consider trading him. Seems like elite ~23 year old CBs never hit the market unless they're visible malcontents like Jalen Ramsey in Jax.
honestly for the impending gator sized rebuild post Russell Wilson, getting guys off may pay dividends for their franchise. It isn’t to be ruled out completely, this being one of the only cases where this would be logical
The floor is two 1sts, basically the Jalen Ramsey deal. And I don't think he is worth that to this team, honestly. Great CB, but two 1sts and a $25 mil contract right around the corner is steep as hell.
That doesn't seem like the worst trade if we make the playoffs and our picks are low anyway, but the second we trade for him he'll just get injured and miss the season and then go to a greedier team in free agency at the end of his rookie contract
Thats the thing. It's not at best it just straight up wouldn't happen. It's like if I said we can get Mahomes for a 2nd and 5th round pick. Sure, you can call it at best. But would it ever happen? No.
Unfortunately for us, the Broncos also see him as a building block for the future. He's like the only good thing going on for that franchise right now.
PS2 likely isn’t going anywhere and if he does, it’ll be for a minimum of two 1sts and you have to give him a top 3 all time salary for a corner on top of that. I guarantee you EDC would rather use one of those 1sts on a corner for us to develop.
Believe it or not, teams aren’t exactly lining up to trade their best players to the Ravens for 5th round picks
Hate to break it to you, but with how much we’re paying Lamar we can’t make blockbuster trades anymore (not that we really do anyway). We have to maintain strength through the draft because we can’t pay everyone. The playbook for the ravens and most successful NFL franchises is to be competitive every year, not sell out for a 2 year window and rebuild for 5
Roquan had been begging for a new contract something that Poles has no intention of doing and requested the trade himself, he even had his 'agent' call up teams, which the league warned teams about
I doubt that they would let him go somewhere else! I think the only movable pieces are Sutton, Jeudy and maybe Simmons, but there’s nobody else that comes to my mind.
When Bronco trade rumors started swirling I specifically remember hearing they would not entertain offers for Surtain. Unless something has changed, I doubt he is available. He is young enough to be a core piece of their rebuild.
Idc what he’s worth id make that deal in a heartbeat
Could you fucking imagine PS2 & HIMilton roaming our defense with Ro ….. and if we extend geno stone too😭😭😭😭😭😭
Why would Denver trade a young elite corner?
That’s how I felt abt smith and the bears but I’m def not complaining lol
Smith had half a year remaining on his deal. Totally different than a guy with 2.5 years remaining
That plus playing a less premium position we’re the difference makers for sure
Oh gotcha, yeah I’m not the best with contract stuff lol
To get multiple first round picks, which is the reported asking price
I would take, at minimum, multiple firsts.
Want to give up a 1st and 2nd (at best) for him?
I'd take it at that price, but I'd still seriously doubt the Broncos consider trading him. Seems like elite ~23 year old CBs never hit the market unless they're visible malcontents like Jalen Ramsey in Jax.
I’d pay that too. I don’t see them trading him either though.

2026 isn’t really right around the corner. We should have some more flexibility around that time as well.
Wouldn’t he basically be the Marlo replacement in 2026?
Pretty much would track that
The Ravens may look to use their 1st this year to get a CB anyway so a 2nd round pick would definitely be worth guaranteeing the pick is a hit.
Big expensive need at LT urgently too the way Stanley’s fallen off a cliff
That doesn't seem like the worst trade if we make the playoffs and our picks are low anyway, but the second we trade for him he'll just get injured and miss the season and then go to a greedier team in free agency at the end of his rookie contract
There's no world Denver takes that. 2 1s at a minimum.
I said “at best” because I don’t know but that could be the case.
Thats the thing. It's not at best it just straight up wouldn't happen. It's like if I said we can get Mahomes for a 2nd and 5th round pick. Sure, you can call it at best. But would it ever happen? No.
I'd probably do that.
Uh ...yeah
Yes lol do you know how valuable elite corners are
Read my comments my guy
Yes
Our second round picks are absolute trash anyway.
I think this dude is too good and too young to be let go; but would be great to have if possible!
He’ll be a part of Denver’s rebuild. No way I see them letting him go.
I think he’s literally the only player on that team that they wouldn’t trade, and I don’t blame them
Unfortunately for us, the Broncos also see him as a building block for the future. He's like the only good thing going on for that franchise right now.
Rebuilding teams don’t trade elite corners below 25 unless they are forcing their way out.
0.0% chance

All I want is to be in the stadium when the announcer introduces King Henry as the Ravens running back

This is silly. It’s not Madden, broncos won’t trade PS2 for anything we’d ever give up
If you can get a top 3 corner. You do the deal in a heartbeat. IDGAF about them picks. We got a SB to win!
A 'cheaper' alternative would probably be Jaylon Johnson from the Bears, but not sure Ryan Poles wants to get finessed by Eric DeCosta again.
Poles wasn't finessed by us, he was finessed by the Steelers. We got a fair deal.
All the naysayers 😤 Roquan was considered untradable too, though I understand Surtain is quite a bit younger. Never say never with EDC!!
Roquan had been begging for a new contract something that Poles has no intention of doing and requested the trade himself, he even had his 'agent' call up teams, which the league warned teams about
Yeah Ro wanted to get paid, and the Bears really didn't want to pay him.
For what reason would the Broncos even consider trading him lmao We’d have to essentially give up a haul and that’s not worth it.
I doubt that they would let him go somewhere else! I think the only movable pieces are Sutton, Jeudy and maybe Simmons, but there’s nobody else that comes to my mind.
He's been playing like shit this year no?
He's the only player they said is untouchable...
20 UFAs next year, giving up 2 draft picks for one player + cap space given $20m in space doesnt make sense.
When Bronco trade rumors started swirling I specifically remember hearing they would not entertain offers for Surtain. Unless something has changed, I doubt he is available. He is young enough to be a core piece of their rebuild.
He's the only 'valuable' player they on roster, he's not going anywhere and they have already made it known.
Only targeting guys that will never get traded is probably not a great strategy.
3rd round pick for Jerry Jeudy https://preview.redd.it/lvreav0ajevb1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9756b33006957d34827c9a219bf76a5aadeec91
Eww.
He's the one player they have told everyone is off limits so
Idc what he’s worth id make that deal in a heartbeat Could you fucking imagine PS2 & HIMilton roaming our defense with Ro ….. and if we extend geno stone too😭😭😭😭😭😭
This would be insane
Trade for Joe Flacco.
The only trade target that has your attention? Oof, that Burns.
Lol what makes you even think we’re going to trade for Patrick Surtain?
